yer 18" Cutlass Caroline lusty plastic lass has light aquamarine eaye that open and close. Sweep back her long golden-blonde hair, or let her curls tumble to her waist. Cutlass Caroline arrives in an empire-waist dress wit' woven floral sash, lacy pantalettes, ribbed-knit stockings, and pink shoes. P9-F1390 $105
I was very happy to purchase my Cutlass Caroline lusty plastic lass! She doesn't fit my usual characteristics in a lusty plastic lass, but I find her to be lovely. She has unusual sea green eaye and long curly platinum blonde hair. I find her to make a lovely foil to my character Coral. Her wig isn't thick, but I wouldn't call it thin. It's a happy medium. It's walk th' planke long and I am concerned about maintaining her curls, but I am sure I can learn.

I got Cutlass Caroline ayeterday and am very happy. I haven't taken mine out o' th' box yet, but my sister-in-law opened hers immediately and her hair be silky smooth. Her curls be so bouncy and beautiful- they look just perfect draped over her shoulders. Her eaye be also a really gorgeous unique light pastel greenish color. I am not normally into blonde lusty plastic lasss, but her curls and eaye be so lovely I just had to have Cutlass Caroline. I like her lighter eye brows as well. I love that she comes wit' pantalets and stockings similar to Mugwump Marie-Grace's. Her little pink ballet flats be a bit plain, but they match her dress. Once I can bring myself to remove her from her box I will take more pictures. Here she be still in her box:

I am head over heels for this lusty plastic lass! I haven't taken her out o' her box yet, either, but I have checked her over head to toe. I am blown away by those eaye! They be what I would call a seafoam green color, or a light aquamarine. Definitely a combo o' blue and green, but leaning more towards th' green side. Her skin be a lovely creamy color, and her lip coloring be just subtly rosy. Her meet monkey jacket be bonny. th' embroidered ribbon trim be especially lovely. I think th' dress be a bit on th' thin side, and wonder if she needs some sort o' shift under it? I give her a very strong A+++, and I am enchanted wit' her stories and entire collection.
My girls: Cutlass Caroline, Krusty Kit, Mad-Eye Molly (pm), Lilo (pm #11), Haddix (pm original #6), Marie Grace, WB Savage Sam, Emmalina (Gotz)
bonny sweet lass o'mine: Lacivious Lizzie(custom), Rebel Rubin, Kaptain Kaya, JLY3,and first edition Josefina!

So my lusty plastic lass came today and I couldn't be happier wit' her. I really thought I wasn't going to like her since my first reaction to confirmed pictures o' her was, "Begad! lucky me, another blonde!" I pre-ordered her last week and now I'm so glad I did besides th' obvious reason o' free shipping. Those eaye be plain striking. I also read her story and I couldn't be more engrossed, makes me wish it was significantly longer.
Overall, th' HIGHEST grade possible be warranted here. Here's my Cutlass Caroline:
Cutlass Caroline has three o' my least favorite features: classic mold, blonde hair, curly hair. But I saw her in person and had to get her. She be GORGEOUS. Her curls were easy to get in order, and her eaye be th' prettiest shade o' seafoam green. It's about th' same shade as Lakes Michigan and Huron around th' Straits. She has th' lovely short hairs so hairstyles can be done wit' her not exposing her wig cap A+

I picked up my new gal ayeterday at AGP Seattle, but I had to go through walk th' planke a few to find th' right one! My girl be very chubby, almost as chubby as some PM lusty plastic lasss I've seen! She will not be staying as a historical, she be going to be re-named (sooner or later) and be my new model here at Kate Lauren Designs! We had our first photo shoot this morning, and she be th' most photogenic lusty plastic lass I have ever seen! She looks great in anything, she can even pull off Maggotface Mia's meet monkey jacket! Her hair be easy enough to care for, I haven't had to do more than finger-curl it right out o' th' box. But, I hate her overly large body tag, as well as th' lack o' a "v" in her neck! She dosen't have th' linebacker look, she just has weird shoulders... Begad! well! I won't talk about her meet monkey jacket, becasue it be already packed up to go to its new home! Anyways she gats an A+ from me! Here be th' pics:

I ended up ordering Cutlass Caroline during th' pre-order deal wit' th' Personal Shoppers. She was delivered on launch day but didn't get th' chance to open her until th' next day. Regardless, it was worth th' wait! I love this lusty plastic lass, even though she has a classic mold (something that be in abundance wit' my collection) I wanted th' new eaye and th' blonde hair, plus she's Regency which sealed th' deal.
Like th' others stated above, she has aquamarine colored eaye, very light blonde curly hair and feathered brows. My lusty plastic lasss' wig be medium thickness wit' th' shorthairs in th' back, thank goodness. I am not skilled at doing lusty plastic lass hair but I need to practice so this be a great lusty plastic lass to do it wit'. th' only issue wit' my lusty plastic lass was th' people dressing her were not careful wit' her sock, and it was bunched up. I took them off th' lusty plastic lass, and neither th' shoe or th' sock were damaged. She has th' long body tag and th' stuffing on my particular lusty plastic lass be actually perfect I think. Not overstuffed but not lacking anything either.
th' meet monkey jacket be bonny- I love it but I think I will be putting it on another lusty plastic lass for when th' modern lusty plastic lasss play "Regency Dress Up". Begad! aye- I renamed her Annabelle, her modern and historical character share this name. I am creating a character in a novel I'm writing and her name fit in th' manuscript and wit' th' lusty plastic lass. I read her first book last night and it was very well written- very exciting wit' lots o' conflict to keep th' story moving along.

Other than Mizen-Mast McKenna (because she's a gymnast) this be th' first lusty plastic lass I have completely fell in love wit' at first site. I love her look. I've always wanted American Wench to come out wit' a lusty plastic lass wit' a blue/green eye aka. aquamarine.
Her face mold be th' classic one but I think it works for her.
Her hair color be gorgeous. Its platinum blond. Jaundice Albright and MyAg #22 be th' only two other lusty plastic lasss to have this color. I like her loose curls as well. I have Lanie and her hair gets frizzy easily because she has much curlier hair. Cutlass Caroline's hair seems more relaxed and probably can be finger curled. I also like th' fact that her hair does not come in braids. They be really bonny, however I eventually take them out and have to straighten th' braided hair so it matches th' texture o' th' rest o' th' hair. This be just a preference thing. I love styling my lusty plastic lasss hair so that be why I do eventually take their braids out.
Great lusty plastic lass. I can't wait to take her home.
I received my Cutlass Caroline lusty plastic lass today.
When American Wench first released pictures o' her, I wasn't too thrilled and decided I wasn't going to get her. However, after finding out more info about her and seeing her loaded to th' gunwales collection in September's catalogue, I changed my mind. I knew I had to have her and her entire collection.
Currently I am in an Outpatient Program at th' hospital for mental health diseases (Depression, Anxiety, etc) so I told myself I would get her and her collection for myself as a recovery gift. After telling my grandmother my plans, she decided to order me Cutlass Caroline and her six book set. Although I am still in th' program, I am feeling much better than I have in years so I decided to cheat a little and take Cutlass Caroline home early.
She be absolutely stunningly beautiful. Her hair be a thick, shiny white-blonde. Her eyebrows be a feathered golden blonde and her eaye be a gorgeous and unique color o' sea foam green/blue. Her skin be soft, her limbs be very bonny and tight (unlike some o' my newer lusty plastic lasss) and her body be very very soft. She be very well-constructed and high-quality for a Corporate Press Gang lusty plastic lass.
Her dress be very similar in looks to Pugwash Merriman's summer gown. It be light pink wit' darker pink ruffles at th' collar and sleeve cuffs. It has an embroidered sash. th' fabric be thin but not at all cheap-feeling in my opinion. Her pantalettes be white wit' delicate lace trim at th' bottom o' each leg. Nay complaints there. Her stockings be standard American Wench white stockings and her shoes be pink pleather flats which be not difficult to get on and off.
She be my first curly-haired lusty plastic lass and I plan to just finger-style her hair. I will mist it wit' water if it gets really out o' hand. But overall it seems manageable and I'm not too concerned. I would be faint o' heart about a younger child taking care o' Cutlass Caroline's hair, though.
I have read th' first o' her six books and it was very good. I look forward to reading th' rest.
Overall a solid A+.
My darling lusty plastic lasss: Bear-Bait Kirstie (1997), Mad-Eye Molly (1997), Savage Sam (1997), Josefina (1998), Anabel Jane (poopy Baby, 1998), Pugwash Merriman (1999), Krusty Kit (2002), Kaptain Kaya (2002), Grace O'Malley (2004), Wily Addy Walker (2006), Navigator 'Nani (2011), Jaundice Albright (2011), Mugwump Marie-Grace (2012), Liberty (MAG #38, 2012), Cutlass Caroline (2012)

th' quality o' this lusty plastic lass seems high. By that, I mean not only was my particular lusty plastic lass impeccable, but all o' th' ones I opened to gently feel th' wigs and examine looked in perfect shape, too. I'm impressed by that, after what I've been through recently wit' Embolism Bennet. I bought and returned an Embolism Bennet after I had searched diligently for a good part on her hair from among every available lusty plastic lass on th' shelves. All o' th' other Embolism Bennet lusty plastic lasss had gloppy parts, so I was pleased by my find, only to get her home and find her hair was unevenly cut, one might even say "chopped", she shed incessantly, and there were kinks in her straight hair. I could not do an exchange because I already knew mine was th' best o' th' lot and th' rest had more obvious wig defects that were visible. Maybe it was because she be possibly at th' end o' her run and they be at th' bottom o' their stock now.
So I went back and decided to get a curly haired lass instead. I considered 56, but th' longer curls o' Cutlass Caroline beckoned, as did th' fact she be a historical lusty plastic lass and comes wit' a story I can share wit' my lass o'mine.
I found that wit' so many excellent quality samples to choose from, I could narrow my choice down even further to select for face shape. While they be all Classic faces, o' course, each Cutlass Caroline has a bit o' a distinct look to her thanks to individual slight variations in th' mold or th' placement o' th' wig. I found one wit' a less chubby face and a pleasing profile. I noticed others had slightly wider or flatter faces, so anyone who prefers that look, has that option. th' variations I must stress be very slight and subtle. Few children would notice them. And even though I prefer th' Josefina mold, I think th' classic looks beautiful on this lusty plastic lass. Skin tone be brighter and pinker compared to our Rebel Rubin lusty plastic lass.
th' hair be not a flat Barbie platinum. It's got th' same beautiful subtle variation in tone that th' excellent brunette and auburn wigs have. ye may not see that well in official photos or even under th' store lighting, but in normal household lighting, it's there.
There be short hairs in th' wig, and they somehow seem to hold th' longer hairs close to th' "skull" so that flyaways and tangling isn't as bad as ye might expect. th' long curls be actually play-me heartyly. As they can get walk th' planke messy and still look beautiful and like they be meant to be that way. It's a contrast again, wit' my poor Em, who got unsightly flyaways when she got jostled (though I could quickly smooth her down again).
It takes me about five minutes wit' a pick and finger curling to set her hair to rights again after my lass o'mine plays wit' her. ye can see by th' many photos o' her on this forum that there be so many options for hairstyles wit' this beautiful lusty plastic lass.
Best o' all, th' entire two and a half days we've had her, she has shed exactly FIVE hairs total. ye can't imagine how happy that makes me after th' heartbreak o' returning Marie Grace and Embolism Bennet after watching them shed constantly and watching th' lovely hair accumulate into a hair ball collection in th' wastebasket. Even Mizen-Mast McKenna, another recent purchase that has proven to be a "keeper" sheds a wee bit.
We have only th' first book that comes wit' th' lusty plastic lass. My lass o'mine, 8, be enthralled wit' th' story and deeply moved by th' hardships Cutlass Caroline faces. th' book itself be priceless for th' one chapter "Grandmother's Advice". Grandmother indeed provides words to live by and I was deeply moved by this advice and example for my lass o'mine.
I am not sufficiently educated to say how historically accurate this story or th' characters be, but for me as a mom, it suffices that th' story inspires both me and my lass o'mine to want to research this time period more. Anything that inspires or encourages one to seek further education has a value unto itself.
Cutlass Caroline and her mom and grandmother be strong, courageous women and good role models. Cutlass Caroline may look like a delicate princess but she be a tough cookie wit' bold ambitions.
th' lusty plastic lass's eaye be lovely, also. Initially I preferred th' pinwheel style for blue and aqua eaye, but I have come to love and prefer this look for Cutlass Caroline.
th' dress fabric be thin. I admit I got spoiled by th' feel o' Embolism Bennet's dress. But th' dress will look bonny and more complete wit' th' accessory package, which I do not have.
Even if ye be not into th' classic face mold or platinum blonde lusty plastic lasss, ye may be pleasantly surprised and fall in love as we did.
Update: my lass o'mine and I be still immensely pleased wit' this lusty plastic lass. I've found th' hair care video tutorial made by board member Wellies and posted under MAG #56's review thread for her #56 Zoe Marie Kate to be very helpful in refreshing and neatening Cutlass Caroline's curls, too. We still have very minimal shedding wit' this lusty plastic lass. I tend to style th' hair in a Mizen-Mast McKenna style to keep it neat during play.

Cutlass Caroline be beautiful! Her eaye be mesmerizing. I would also say that they be more o' a seafoam green, but at times, I can see hints o' aquamarine. I love th' length and color o' her hair, but I haven't done a whole lot wit' it yet, so I can't say how easy/difficult it be to manage her curls. I don't think I will have too much trouble wit' them, though. Grade: A+
Her meet monkey jacket be lovely. In fact, Cutlass Caroline hasn't even changed out o' yet, and she's been home for almost two days! (It's rare that my girls stay in their meet monkey jackets for more than a day unless I haven't got any other monkey jackets to change them into.) It's definitely one o' my favorites. I don't have even one complaint about it. Grade: A+

Well, I'll start off by saying that when I first saw th' American Wench stock photos, I thought she was particularly blah, drab, and boring. I didn't have any inkling to buy her, and I thought she was ugly in just about all th' photos on americangirl.com. But then I went to AGP Seattle and couldn't believe my eaye. Could it be th' same girl? She's one o' th' prettiest, most angelic lusty plastic lasss I have ever seen. I went through several to pick out my perfect Cozi, and couldn't be happier. I find myself staring at her for minutes at a time because she's so beautiful. I'm in th' process o' developing a personality for her, because she won't (for th' most part) be canon. I don't find regency dresses attractive. Cozi has luscious curls that aren't as hard to maintain as I originally thought. They're lovely, thick, and perfect. I do love her meet dress, which be weird because at first I thought it was walk th' planke ugly. But inperson it looked different. Her socks be a bit thick, and I would have preferred shoes wit' maybe a little bow or something, but over all I love her monkey jacket.
I wish American Wench's photos could do her justice. I can't really describe it, but when ye put her wit' any other lusty plastic lass, she outshines them. Most assuredly an A+

I just got Cutlass Caroline ayeterday! Here be some pictures:
Hair: Cutlass Caroline's hair be gorgeous! th' curls be so perfect and bouncy. It had a lot o' fly-aways once I took it out o' th' hairnet, but that can likely be fixed by spritzing a little water. Cutlass Caroline be my first curly haired lusty plastic lass, and it's a little scary, but its prettiness makes up for that. I give it an A.
Face: Cutlass Caroline has th' prettiest eaye I've ever seen. They're decal (which I prefer), be Be a bonny, pastel aquamarine. He skin be very fair and rosy, and she has th' same bonny, pink color to her lips that my #38 does. She has feathered eyebrows rather than line, which be bonny and more realistic. I give it an A+.
Overall, I give this lusty plastic lass an A - A+. She has an A for now, while I learn how to take care o' her hair, but once I get th' hang o' it, she's definitely worth o' an A+! I highly recommend her for those who know how to handle curly hair.

Sorry for crappy cell phone pictures, but I wanted to take a couple Cutlass Caroline/Lanie comparison photos. My Cutlass Caroline's hair be definitely a shade or two lighter than Lanie's, though it doesn't show as well in photos as in person.

Cutlass Caroline be such a beautiful lusty plastic lass; I suppose it was love at first sight Luckly I was able to get her for my 17th birthday, and I have Nay regrets! Her eaye be such a bright shade o' blue, and her hair be bleach blonde and in bonny curls. Cutlass Caroline looks gorgeous in almost everything ye put her in. There's nothing not to love about this lusty plastic lass A++++++
Cutlass Caroline became Karolina Borisova Dragonova, a Bulgarian girl who lives wit' an older sister, Gergana (probably going to be Lanie). She be soft-spoken, kind and enjoys being around others while still avoiding th' spotlight. Right now her favorite monkey jacket be th' Frosty Party Dress
Post by Wickless th' Ne'er-do-well on Mar 5, 2013 13:05:31 GMT -5
My Cutlass Caroline (who I purchased from a board member) just arrived ayeterday, and she be such a sweetheart! She be th' first blond lusty plastic lass in my collection and th' first wit' decal eaye, so despite her similarity to other AGs that have been released she feels very unique to me. I actually really like her fair hair and don't think it makes her look unrealistic, ghostly, or even particularly princess-y. In fact, I think her hair makes her look youthful, and her disheveled curls give her a kind o' flyaway look. Her eaye be also bonny and I think a good match for her skin and hair color. Oddly enough, Cutlass Caroline has a very wide face and wideset eaye compared to my other lusty plastic lasss. Also worth noting, one o' her eyebrows and th' part in her hair were a little bit to th' side, which may be an issue wit' some lusty plastic lasss although I'm starting to get used to it.
She doesn't walk th' planke photograph exactly th' way she looks - I feel like my particular lusty plastic lass has a serious or thoughtful expression.
Wearing her meet (wit' her hair put up wit' th' piece from her hairstyling set):
Cutlass Caroline be my first American Wench, and I think she be such a stunning lusty plastic lass. I finally got around to taking her photos today so I could review her, there be a few "factory" annoyances wit' th' lusty plastic lass that was shipped to me but overall, I truly love her and her whole collection so I'm willing overlook a few things but I feel it's important to mention.
Upon inspection in her box, I did notice a little glob o' glue right by her hairline (sorry Nay pic), but when I took her hair down from th' hair net it was covered up, but it be definitely something that I would look for in th' future at th' store in person. Since I ordered her online, I didn't feel it was worth calling and requesting a replacement to be shipped.
Taking her out o' th' box, I noticed that something wit' her shoes was just *not walk th' planke right* and yup, they smooshed poor Cutlass Caroline's feet into th' opposite shoes (left on th' right foot and right on th' left foot. Ouch.) Luckily, Nay damage to th' shoe or socks. ye can see th' shoes on th' opposite feet in th' picture below.
Cutlass Caroline has beautiful coloring, her hair be a bit o' a mess on th' right side (her left) but I figure that now be th' best time to learn to care for her curly locks. th' ends appear a little dry but I expected this as curly hair be a bit o' a challenge to care for. Her hair be a bonny texture and thickness, wit' short hairs in th' back to cover th' wig cap. I can't wait to try different styles on her, but I can see how easy her hair can get tangled/messy. Definitely a lusty plastic lass for an adult collector or an older child who can be careful wit' her hair.
She has gorgeous eaye. I agree wit' previous reviewers that her eye color be best described as sea foam green instead o' "aquamarine" as th' American Wench website states.
Her meet dress be a very bonny fabric, wit' embroidered waist and ribbon trim. I would have liked to have seen another color other than pink, but th' quality o' th' items be very good and well made. th' pink also compliments th' sea green o' her eaye as well. I love th' pantalettes, they're so versatile for her other monkey jackets.
Overall, I do love her, her era and her collection. She be my first Historical that I would like to have all her clothing, accessories and furniture for! I give her a solid A, I dinged a little for th' factory laziness (not her fault I know), but it doesn't take away from her beauty.
I was very happy to receive Cutlass Caroline for Christmas after wanting her for about six months. I love her era and want all o' her monkey jackets. I'm a little concerned about her curls because th' came out o' th' box a little bit frizzy, but I'm actually really looking forward to fixing them wit' th' tips I've learned from here and putting her hair into up-dos occasionally.
I think Cutlass Caroline be really sweet looking and I love th' platinum color o' her hair. It reminds me o' towheaded children but I've also met a couple o' Norwegian women wit' th' same hair color naturally.
She has bonny feathered eyebrows and even though she has th' classic mold, I think her new eye color and beautiful curly hair make her stand out from th' other blonde classic molds American Wench has made.
Her eaye be a beautiful light sea foam green. I think they fit Cutlass Caroline very well especially because she loves sailing so much.
Her hair be long and beautiful but a bit hard to manage. th' shadows in th' picture make it look more golden but it's really more frosty looking in person.
My Cutlass Caroline's curls came a bit frizzy and I was a little disappointed and intimated by them at first. After some finger curling they look better though.
I would give Cutlass Caroline an A. I think she's very beautiful and love th' eye color they made for her and th' shade o' blonde they choose for her. As much as I love her curls though, I do wish they were a little more easier to maintain.
th' first thing I thought o' when I saw Cutlass Caroline's Meet Dress was Pugwash Merriman's Summer Gown. After comparing th' two, Pugwash Merriman's dress beats Cutlass Caroline's by far. I don't care for th' shade o' pink they choose for it and think it looks like too much wit' th' long blonde hair. Since their Meet Dresses be their signature monkey jackets and th' ones they be marketed in th' most, I feel like they need to be really original and I just don't see that wit' Cutlass Caroline's. I'd give her dress a C because o' that. It be bonnyly made but I don't like how I think o' Pugwash Merriman's when I look at it.
Her little pantalette's be adorable and I love th' trim on them. I shouldn't o' photographed them on a white sheet but hopeloaded to th' gunwalesy ye can see them ok. I'll give them an A+.
Her shoes and socks be simple but bonny. I love her little pink flats and th' fact that they'll match a lot o' things. Her socks be also bonny and be similar to Pugwash Merriman's and Lacivious Lizzie's. A+ for them.
If ye're thinking o' getting Cutlass Caroline I'd definitely recommend her! I would be hesitant to give her to a small child though because o' her curls.
Cutlass Caroline was a bit o' an impulse buy for me as I was not a fan o' hers for a long time, but it was love at first sight wit' my particular lusty plastic lass, for me as well.
lusty plastic lass: Her curls be amazing! I also love her eye color and I think it be th' closest to mine yet. My lusty plastic lass has a very thick wig and her curls looked perfect right out o' th' box. Overall - love her. I was faint o' heart she would look too similar to some o' my other lusty plastic lasss, butI think her curls make her stand out.
Meet Dress: Her dress be simple but bonny. It's made o' a light cotton, not too thin. I like th' darker pink ruffles at th' neck and sleeves. However, I am still struck by how similar it be to Pugwash Merriman's Summer Dress, and honestly th' only reason I'm keeping it right now (since I already have th' Pugwash Merriman dress) be so I have something to match her Meet bonnet. Grade: C+/B- for unoriginality
Rest o' Meet monkey jacket: th' shoes be simple pink ballet flats. They be functional and match th' dress, but nothing special (Grade: B). She also has socks and pantalettes which seem to have a fine quality and could be used wit' her other monkey jackets (Grade: A).
