This outfit is worn by Caroline in the books Caroline's Secret Message and Facing the Enemy. It was released in 2012 and retired with archival in 2015.Caroline wears this coral dress when she journeys across Lake Ontario to rescue Papa. It features a gathered bodice, ribbon trim, and dainty floral print. Red boots that lace up on the insides to match. This dress is so adorable, and the peachy-rose color is universally flattering! It has a grosgrain ribbon waist (a bit tight on my chubby MG doll) and there's not a lot of room in the torso, so I don't think a slip would fit, but pantalons would if you felt like including them. The stretchy neck makes for easier fitting as well. Her red boots are cute enough, but they are a little plain. At least they fit the first time with a minimum of fussing and stretching! Note: the hat is not included, and is sold with the Spencer Jacket set.

The colors of this dress are what make it so beautiful, IMO. I love the light and dark coral colors together. The dress is lovely alone, but when combined with the spencer and bonnet (sold separately), the total outfit is gorgeous!! I love the colors on Caroline, but I also love them on the darker complexions, like Cécile. I am a big fan of the boots, I think they are just sweet, and the detailing on the inside of the boot is cute. Overall, A+

I really like the colors and fabric of this dress also, but was a little surprised at the elastic in the neck and arms. Also, because of the length, I thought it needed Josefina's pantalets, period-appropriate or not! Pics! IMG_0008_rev by cbddallas, on Flickr IMG_0011_rev by cbddallas, on Flickr

FWIW, the elastic in the neckline is probably meant to simulate the "drawstring style" that some dresses were made in - not sure if that can apply to the sleeves as well though.

This outfit is lovely. It is my very favorite color! The fabric of the dress is nice and I also love the pattern and style. I love the boots as well, especially the detailing on the inside of each one. Grade: A+

This dress is such a pretty shade. I appreciate the fact that, while sticking to the safe color of pink, in this outfit they did it with pizzazz. The print is just so pretty, and I love the gathered bodice. The red boots are my favorite, though. The material is very soft, and reminds me of real, very fine leather. I don't think I would let a young girl "travel" in such a pretty outfit, but I digress... Josefina and I give this outfit an A+! scarlett1854

my Caroline's travel dress review: I think this dress is really cute! it only comes with two things though. the dress is really pretty but not the matierial i expected. and the grossgrain belt on the dress pills easily. the boots are adorable!!! you dont have to lace them up! but they are hard to get on, and they don't go on the doll's feet. they stick out a little. B+

I got this along with the spencer/hat set for my birthday yesterday. It is already one of my favorite outfits for Caroline! The warm rose color is beautiful with her skin and eye color, which is kind of surprising to me. I find Caroline really does look better in vivid, saturated colors because pastels, believe it or not, tend to wash her out.
I'll admit the price is a little steep for what you get, but the two pieces are still very nice. The dress is simply cut to mimic the drawstring dresses from the time period and fits well, I was able to put it on over Caroline's shift and petticoat with no problem. I feel like the waistband is kind of low for a Regency dress and I'm not crazy about how it tries to sneak out under the edge of the spencer (not a huge deal of course, just something I wouldn't have done if I were making the dress). I love the print of the fabric, it looks almost "sketchy" if that makes sense, and the fabric has some little bits of green that look nice with Caroline's eyes.
The red boots are seriously awesome. They are kind of pointy for AG boots and are a beautiful shade of dark red. I like how they lace up on the inside! At first they were kind of tough to get on over stockings but it can be done, it just might take a few seconds longer than other AG boots - again, not a problem for me but something I thought I would mention.
Overall I would give this set an A- (slightly deducted for the cut of the dress).

I bought this dress today and promptly put it on Caroline. It is easily my favorite piece in Caroline's wardrobe. The color is wonderful and I love the coordinating ribbon and the green leaves in the print. The boots are fantastic, love the detail of the laces without having to tie those little ties. A+

I was hesitant to get this because it is pink and Vanessa is a redhead. I bought it anyway because I really liked it for some reason and got it home...and it looks great! I love it! The fabric is thin, but really a pretty design. The only real problem I had were with the velcro boots because I don't care for those. Overall Grade: B+

We purchased this outfit with the recent sale, and while I've never been a fan I must say it is better in person. I bought it for my daughter who loves it. She hadn't taken it off her maplelea Jenna. The dress fabric is very nice and soft and the ribbon adds a nice touch. However, I just feel like it is...lacking. Maybe it's too short? Not sure, but it just doesn't feel like "enough". The qualify is very good though and I think this color would look well on any doll. The boots are very soft with velcro up the back. It seems like they were designed to look pointy but it wasn't executed very well in my opinion. I also think it's unattractive how there is extra space above the foot... It's too puffy looking around the ankle instead of fitting closely. They are well made though and I much prefer the soft "leather" to the ballet flats they keep giving other Caroline outfits.

I do not like this outfit.
The material is poor. Using ribbon was a very poor choice, and makes the outfit look cheap. The boots are difficult to get on, and are ill-fitting.
Overall rating: D

Did 10-year-old little girls really have shoes and boots that exactly matched all their outfits? LOL!
I do love the colors of this dress, it is very unique for AG. I wouldn't like this dress without the Spencer because it shows too much of Caroline's cloth body.
Grade: A-

A friend has this. I find the color and fabric beautiful but was very disappointed to see the neckline and sleeves are done with elastic so not accurate. The boots are cute. I do find it funny that that match so perfectly.
