Totally not to be used to fit clothing for sewing. But I do love my dress forms. I too got them on the cheap. Probably at a MCM sale one year. I have used it for our sewing scenes but mostly to display some of the dresses we loved..until I had more dolls.

Being from Alaska I am completely biased. I do not like the newer version. I think if you are going to portray a sled to kids it should be accurate. If AG makes other things like flutes, guitars, snowshoes, skis, and snowboard realistic, these should be too. This was Sadie who came to travel to me in Alaska. I love this sled for the accuracy and details that are identical to sleds here. When the school teaches about Iditarod each year, I am usually asked to bring it in as a display piece because of the accurate detailing. I like that it is made entirely of wood. There is also the foot break on the older version that I don't think is on the new version. Another detail. The newer sled is made of plastic and pretty sturdy. I like that they have fitted it with elastic for the hands and feet to stay on. I am considering adding that feature to my own sled. I think the accuracy in what it looks like is horrid. I have never seen anything like it on the real sled market. I could be wrong. Even the kid rec sleds aren't like this. Know that Pepper and the original Husky are different sizes. I highly doubt that Pepper would fit into the older harness. I like the original Husky better than pepper as well. If a kiddo this age had a husky around it would be better scaled to the old version. Pepper is a young pup of a Husky. All this being said, if it is something your daughter is really into and you don't mind the details, go for it. Get the newer version. It's all in what she would play with and love.

I have photoed these on a 1x1 inch scale background.
This set includes Kit's gooseneck lamp made of metal, her phone made of plastic, and her adorable Robinhood book.
Here I am showing you the two ways our phones have both come apart. One phone had it's weighted base come off and it also had the ear piece housing come off the pin. The second phone had the ear piece come off the pin and the ear piece fall apart in two. Both of these were easy to repair with a bit of glue.
Kit's lamp is great. It is an adjustable lamp with black metal and green speckles. The lamp actually works through the use of a small switch. The battery is housed in the base and helps to weigh the lamp down so not to easily tip over. Below is an image of the lamp broken down for bulb replacement. Simply pop out the plastic shield and unscrew the bulb to replace. Simple.

Soooo Kit's Trunk is an amazing piece filled with so much storage space and nooks that I think it's the best one out there. I was lucky enough to pick this one up at MCM with a small scratch in the pleather. (fake leather stuff). The outer covering of the trunk is a kind of synthetic leather-like material. It has a diagonal diamond pattern to it, in a deep burgundy. The lid has brass corners and smaller brass rivets across the top. Those rivets are set atop a small piece of trim. That trip and rivet detail continues around the top, back and front of the trunk. The sides of the trunk have two leather handles held on with brass and rivets. Handling the trunk I have had no issues with breakage. The back of the trunk is actually where the AG nameplate is located. On this side the trim continues and there are two hinges for opening the top. The front of the trunk is where the buckles and latches are. There are three. One larger and two smaller. On this side are some small hinges on the bottom that allow for this side to drop and get you access to the drawers inside. Kit's trunk has a huge amount of storage. Once opened there is the main top compartment and two lower drawers. The top compartment is large enough to fit a doll and some items. We use it to store more of her collection and many of her hats that would get smooshed in the drawers or in other storage. Her top drawer hod quite a plenty. Each of the drawers has a small hinged handle that is riveted. Her bottom drawer is mostly shoes and other accessories. We have been able to fit almost every bit of Kit's collection inside. I am missing but one outfit, two pairs of shoes, and her wash day items. Otherwise her bedding and everything else fits. It is an amazing piece that any doll can use because of it's classic styling and charm. *dead image links removed*

Are those butterflies really paper? What trash! I think I will see if the butterfly clips are available as replacements and get those. Also any mom's out there might wanna scan those butterflies before they are destroyed in play. Then it's just a matter of printing new ones.

Thanks for the review. Susanna has been eyeing this outfit but if the shirt is tough to get on over an AG head, it will never fit Susanna's fat Gotz head. The shirt actually velcro's up the back so your doll would fit it great. And because you say your dolls feet are larger the sandles would pobably fit her better then they do on AG dolls.

Great pictures of the hair elastics! I don't have them but they are sooooo cute!
The shoes fall off really easy so be careful if you plan to take your dolls somewhere in town. we lost one at Disneyland and have been bummed ever since!

Martial Arts Suit GLOM $22 Grade: A This little set is wonderful. It has some interesting details that are also featured in a full sized uniform. One of those features is the ties on each side of the tunic top. It ties on both sides like many of the tunics I have seen. On the front left there is a "patch" that is actually an iron-on. The belts are definitely long enough to make the square knot that any Sensei would require. Jess is featured here wearing her purple belt. The set actually comes with 10 total belts. Purple as shown on Jess and 9 other colours... Red, Blue, Green, Dark Yellow (Gold), White, Black, Orange, Brown, Light Yellow. No I didn't show them in order of level. The last item in the set is her sparring pad. It is made of faux red leather and has an AG Yin/Yang design printed on the face. On the back are two black elastic straps to hold onto your dolls arm.

Play Outfit $22 GAOG Grade: A Lovely! I never knew quite how nice until I got it in a lot of stuff at a garage sale. It has a white tank that Velcro in the back. I noticed it is the same tank as with the Rootin' Tootin' Outfit. There is a denim shirt that goes over it with little mother-of-pearl buttons that have snaps on the inside. Then there is a long rayon skirt in a bright red print. It is flowy and long. So pretty. I really love the little doll headband covered in the same red print fabric. She also has sandals. brown suede woven ones. Really cute and summery.

Poolside Plaid $22 GBOJ Grade: B I like this dress don't get me wrong. It isn't the outfit that makes me give it a B. It's the shoes. they are worthless and fall off the easiest of any of the shoes I have. I love the little jumper. It ties at the shoulder and is to cute. The purple tee is nice for you to use with other outfits as well. Very versatile. It comes with three hair "alligator" clips. Purple, green, and orange-ish. look at the bottom of the shoe. On the sole is a little recycle symbol.

First Day Outfit $20 GMOB No black flats The outfit is pretty cute, but not a real keeper in my book. It has soft velour, ribbed, and stretch leggings in black. There are teal socks and maroon undies with a white elastic. The velvet crusher hat is pretty cute with small details from matching fleece like her jacket. On the sleeve to her jacket is the older AGT embroidered design. It is a nice set but *shrugs* not something I "have to have". It will probably be staying with the doll when she moves on to her new home.

I am only semi-happy with the horse. We have the Palamino. The tail hair is a pain. It frizzes easier then any doll hair. It made no difference if we wet it and brush or combed it. What a pain. You also have to be careful not to snag into the velour of the horses body. Any and all snags show something awful. I have been meaning to send my daughter's back. Too bad I live so far and the box has to be so huge to return it. Grrrrrrr.
On the up side, the horse makes her happy. She genuinely likes having it and playing with it. Every girl dreams of having a horse. This will likely be the only one my daughter ever sees. She really loves it. I really like that they have the Grecian set to go with it. I think they need more to coincide with the horse collections besides that nasty pink grooming set that looks like NOTHING a proper rider would use for her horse.

Reversible Schoolbag for Dolls $20 GSAN B ****
My daughter likes the set very much and using is it very much for play. It was worth the sale price we got it for at $14.00. What I didn't like was the detailing of the "lunch" it just seemed cheap to me. That was/ is the biggest issue I have with it. It comes with a watch, lunch, and "Writing Smarts" Book for dolls.
The one version of the bag is blue with three zippered pockets. What the point of the two smaller pockets was, I don't know because nothing fits in it.
The second side of the bag is the grey side. It has two pockets total that fit the lunch and book just fine.
The lunch is pretty cute and has a yogurt, orange drink bottle, turkey wrap looking "thing", and a small muffin.
The watch has a rectangular shape with a faux watch face with a holographic that lets it change times. The watch band has two parts, one is denim and one is a leather addition.

Egg Hunt Accessories $22 GEAG Grade: A
Easter set's gotta love 'em! This one is cute and fills three groupings Coconut, accessories, and doll stuff! What more can you ask for?!?!
The set includes a small pair of felt stuffed ears for Coconut. To cute! It also has a purse for dolls that matches with the Fancy Flowers outfit. It is a small blue, drawstring bag with purple flower appliques and beaded centers. The basket is metal and has pink paper grass and a ribbon bot trim on one side. The set also includes two rubbery eggs. Almost like erasers. And one picture egg with Coconut inside sitting on a flower with her ears on. Adorable!

Flower Power Sleepover Kit for Dolls $14 GTAK Grade: A
This set is just adorable in it's details! We love all the little pieces to it. The bag is vinyl on the outside with a zipper and a small beaded pull. It has a blue and white flower on the one side. At night when you turn off the lights the white part of the flower glows.
The inside of the bag is fabric lined. The bag has plenty of room to holds all of the small accessories. A mirror, toothpaste in the shape of a leaf, a tooth brush in the shape of a rose, blue flower sponge, a soap dish, and a soap the shape of a flower. There is also a super slumber party pamphlet with ideas for sleepovers with your favorite dolls.

Junior Bridesmaid Accessories
We love this set! It is full of details!
Flower Girl basket wrapped in netting and inlaid with flower petals. The hinged handle is wrapped with ribbon and then has trailing ribbons that have flowers attached at the ends.
There are two packets of flower petals wrapped in netting. The ribbon closures also have a small flower detail added.
The bridal bouquet is not like many of the other bouquets I have seen them make. this one is full and lovely. Again the stem is wrapped in the matching ribbon with trailing tendrils.
There is a bottle of bubbles with it's wand. Attached to the top are still more flower details.
Your doll will also enjoy the little chocolate cake with white piping. Set it atop the porcelain dish with its gold gilded edges.
Inside the cream coloured box with a ribbon is a gift for the doll. A matching pearl bracelet to go with the necklace in the Junior Bridesmaid Outfit.

Egg Tree Accessories $14 GEAS Grade: B
I am an Easter Tree enthusiast so we decided we had to have it. Our dolls had to have a tree just their size. This adorable set is well thought out in it's details. You get one little egg carton. Inside was 12 assorted eggs with hooks and a dainty ribbon bow. You would hang those on the tree along with four carrots and one white rabbit easter tree topper. All of these ornaments are covered with glitter. Unfortunately, the hooks are almost the size of the egg. they are huge and hard to work with. that is why I gave it a "B" rating. Lobster claw clips or smaller wire would have been better. the other details are wonderful. The tree is wire and in a pot with ribbon trim. Each branch of the tree had pink flowers and green leaves attached.
Along with any easter tree comes a gift. A chocolate bunny in a pink swirl design box, wrapped in cellophane and closed with a pink ribbon bow.

Beach Accessories $16 GLAW Grade: A I can totally see some little girl walking around with these! They are adorable! the set comes with a clear plastic backpack that has strings on the underside to roll up and hold the beach towel. The bag has a drawstring and a velcro closure for the flap. There are reflective pink sunglasses and a floral lei for the doll to wear. Also included are three postcards for the girl to send out after her day in the sun and a small tube of "Sun Scream- suntan lotion!" what a riot! Don't forget the purple towel with a big starfish design.

AGP Pink Tankini/Bikini $8 Grade: C I love the colour of the suit set. It is just a shame that the production has a flaw. This thing has such a low ride on it I keep feeling like I might see her butt crack if she had one! It sits a little to low and the top is a little to short. If you don't pull it high enough then you see her side tag. I keep imagining what would happen to a girl with it on when she jumps in the pool Remember what happened to girls at summer camp? The thing went flying! I have really hiked the thing up on Jess here. Poor girl might have gotten a wedgy if she again had the butt crack!

AGPLA Exclusive Accessories '06 $12 PLDA2 Grade: B Cute new little set.Has one pair of White socks with red and pink trim. Also included 1 white, pink, and red elastic belt with an inner star charm. 2 clear glitter star hair clips, 2 pink hair bands, 1 "watch" with red elastic band and a pink facing. Finally a red pair of hightops with pink laces and a rhinestone stripe on the sides. I like the red and white star design shoes from the other stores better. It is just cuter in my opinion. That is why I give this a B. Because the design of the shoes just isn't as creative.

I am guessing that or a hallmark reseller are your best bets for finding them. I actually walked away from buying a Kirsten bookend before Christmas and have been kicking myself since. Unlike the statues, I really like the carving and paint jobs on the bookends.

i just got jess today and I have a wierd problem... Is it normal for her hair to be longer in the front than in the back? it's not too short in the back but it is a noticeable difference. besides that she is lovely and I am a very big jess fan!! OK so I am looking for a better description of your problem with her hair. Could you take a picture maybe and then we can see what you mean? I think our dolls hair is a little longer in the front but it isn't really noticeable.
