Congrats! I still have some that I could not "mail off"......Keeperofhepast: So right! This was doing the Hallmark "Circle of Smiles" promo. The closest "AG store" to me as the LA store had not opened. I think I bought everything there was! Hallmark was attached to our grocery store at the time so it was easy to stop in and look. I didn't buy this stationery, but I did buy stickers, birthday cards, and my daughter got a couple of the bookends and Josefina's purse and notecards. The "Circle of Smiles" was fun. Since we're in a smaller town and there weren't as many participants when the program ended and my daughter received the necklace the lady offered me a set of the pins and necklace which I happily accepted.

Congrats! What a fun find. I remember seeing those at Hallmark along with the bookends, stickers etc. I think all those were around back in 2003 when Hallmark also did that summer program "Circle of Smiles".

How sweet she looks! The pink really suits her well. Yes, maybe she should join your Estelle and Claudie in the 1920's. Love the dress stand you have in the background. You have a lot of really neat extra props.

A side by side with Belle who is the 5 (extra light) skin tone and the same Josefina face mold . Neither doll has been made up at this point. And this is quick photo. You can see how the darker skin tone gives more depth to the features. I’m hoping to divert lightly embellish Ella’s I want her to be a curly haired young girl with wild curls . Thanks for the comparison. I have no doll with skin tone 5, but Cinderella is super fair in comparison. I'm sure this is what AG will use when they get to Snow White. ETA I love the way you curled her bangs to give her that feathered hair look.

Jamirae . I totally agree with your evaluation! She evokes an older doll look which I love. I think it’s the pale skin, the eyebrows and her yellow hair. I get a lot of nostalgia looking at her. I put mine in the pike dress and I keep getting old holly wood vibes from her too. The pink also really softens her overall look. I fluffed her bangs a little too and just adore her. But my Cindy’s hair is staying up in the bun. As a Cinderella doll I think she is perfect. They really nailed the look. It’s funny you say the uneven eyes give more character because I was thinking that mines straight eyes was possibly what was giving her a rigid look. I won’t be so picky with the eyes when I pick out my second one, this one was warehouse picked. I looked again at your photos SarahK before coming to comment. Your Cinderella is really lovely. @ Jamirae 's evaluation is exactly what my friend and I have now concluded as well. She looks like a doll from a different generation with the very pale skin rather than a AG and that's what throws your initial perception off when looking at her, but in her own right she is a beautiful doll and perfect representation of Cinderella. I'd love to see her in the pink dress if you have time to post a photo in that thread with your sweet scene.

Just a quick take of my Ella in a Birthstone outfit I picked up last year with a $50 Reward and a few dollars more. I think it suits her. Her hair is fun, imo with the curls and layers. OH, she's so cute! I see the off eye, but it really works with her. Congrats on your new doll.

Since I last reviewed this I have purchased Felicity's bed warmer. It is a wonderfully made piece. The handle is carved wood and the metal portion is brass. It's a great display piece on my new canopy bed. Canopy bed and bedwarmer by Laura *, on Flickr

I finally bought these pleated shorts. I had a pair just them as a teen also in turquoise although I think mine were a bit longer. I love these. they are really well made with functional pockets even though an AG can put her hand into them. They have belt loops and are a heavy cotton twill. Unfortunately my CYO tee is put away and not handy so my Milagros in her Feast Day camisa will have to do. Does anyone have measurements for her bed? It's on my wishlist and what to make sure the shelves I am considering are the correct size. Just came across this and if you are still wanting the measurements they are: Bed 21 1/2" long 10 1/2" wide 23 1/2" tall at the middle point

I picked this up with birthday rewards/silver reward last year. Felicity is my only historical who kept her canon name so although I loved the Samantha and Josefina ones as well Felicity was the only one who made sense to buy. The stickers are vinyl and brightly colored. The come with a Meet Felicity book image, a faceless Felicity image, and an American Girl log Est, 1986 image. Cost is $8. This skirt is darling. I love the little embroidered hearts woven into the fabric and the heart trim is just beautiful not to mention the rows of ruffles. Milagros doing the honors. Screenshot 2023-12-29 163711 by Laura *, on Flickr

I agree that the top is very sweet with the butterfly sleeves and they are finished very nicely around the armholes. Thanks to a board member I was able to add this to my collection for free. Here's my Milagros modeling. Screenshot 2023-12-29 163711 by Laura *, on Flickr

I'd love to help you out, Fiora, but my daughter sold that outfit years ago. I just added that comment recently to the reviews as I had found that comment about the number of candles in a library Christmas book when I posted it. Yes, I look at Christmas books in the summer. The best part of the set is the tray with the St. Lucia buns etc. We both have the tray set. I did a quick guess measure on a doll and I think the wreath must have been around seven inches in diameter. I've seen homemade ones of faux evergreen that fit more tightly to Kirsten's head and look far better. I would just do that with small faux berries, and straight white birthday candles. Thanks! Yeah I thought about using birthday candles that should work well. Then, the ribbon for the bows will be easy peasy. I had guessed a 8" diam. at the most. I might make a post and see if a member who has it would respond. I'm glad there are very clear pics on this review, easy to see what the wreath looks like. I might paint the wick of the candles yellow to pretend they are lit! I also get the "Christmas bug" showing up during summer 😄 Yes, ask here on the board. Many members certainly have it. The wick should be yellow. I always wondered why they were painted red. Kirsten's collection is really sweet. I ended up buying quite a bit of it for two other dolls.

My daughter received this back in 1994. Its a PC version. My only problem is it should have had five or seven candles to be authentic. Reading all reviews I've been on the fence buying this wreath... I'm now, looking into making one myself and I appreciate that you mentioned the number of candles it should have. I don't know enough about this tradition. Could you please give me the diameter of the entire wreath? Though some reviewers said it's a bit too large/sticking out too much on Kirsten head; it would help me figure out which wreath size to buy. I found out the inner diameter in the "make your own" sub-forum. But the poster doesn't give the entire diameter of the wreath, only it's circumference which doesn't help me. I've seen some boxwood artificial wreaths and though the leaves are different it could still work out. 'tis the season, so I'm hopeful in finding something suitable in Hobby Lobby, Joann or Michael's on my next trip to the big city 😉 Thanks for your help 😊 I'd love to help you out, Fiora, but my daughter sold that outfit years ago. Oh, what a disappointment! I saw this recently online and thought what a great piece this would be for my 1800s girls. What a shame it is plastic. if it had been wood I was going to buy it.

I have the original violin and love it. I'm now thinking the guitar will be perfect in a 1970- 80s time frame especially for a beach scene. It seems to be well made and realistic.

My goodness this set is soooo cute. Wonderful metal cutters and cute cookies to match. The metal tin looks just like old-fashioned ones and the basket is sweet. The wooden rolling pin is a great prop. A

The linzer cookies are by far the best thing in this set. I'm going to be hunting them down on the secondary market for a Christmas display.

A friend has this and uses it for Maryellen. It is a really cute set, but as others have said the play value goes down as some of the pieces do not come off. B+
