I have the 1999 easel set with the paints, but it is put away, so no photos. I also gave my DGD the 2007 Artist set, and I like mine much better. The 1999 version is all wood, which is a big plus in my opinion. Also it is bigger, sturdier, and not so difficlut to put up as the smaller one, which has problems when trying to get it to open up and STAND up, get the drawer to pull out, etc. The newer one is more trouble than it is worth IMHO. If you get a chance to get the 1999 easel, by all means get it.

I did think at first, when seeing it in the catalog and online, that it was a bit on the garish side (the blue), but after seeing it in person, I do think a little girl would love it, since it looks so "princessy". Yes, it is a bit low, but a lot of the other beds are too. After all, it is geared to children! If you want something more realistic, you can always get an antique doll bed.

Am I the only one who thinks the Parlor Desk should have a tufted seat? It looks very flat and uncomfortable!! Otherwise it is a darling piece. Wonder if that could be fixed by taking off the seat cushion it comes with and adding a new one? Does anyone who has a desk know if that could be accomplished?

Mine is something like that, but not THAT loose! It bugs me no end, because the dress itself fits perfectly around the waist, but the already tied ribbon does not! I know the bow is tied and stitched in place, but maybe you could take the stitches out of the bow, retie it and stitch down? I may try that myself.

I just got my loom, and it only has red, white and blue yarn. Is this correct?? Am I missing brown, or did they do away with it?

I got this for Susan, friend of Molly, and think they are adorable! The only thing I was worried about was the "R" applique, but found it very easy to take off, and no holes or damage done to the pocket. I just wish they closed in the front, not with the velcro in back, but they are such a pretty color, and the slippers are very easy to put on. They are very feminine and glamorous all at the same time!! A-, if only for the velcro, they would be A+.

I have this and really like it! it gives Molly's room such personality and feminity.
I, however, was afraid to peel off the protective seal on the mirror, since I did not want to ruin it and wasn't sure if it did come off. Does it really come off?
I do think that if it had a "real" mirror, there would be a lot of breakage with it and would not meet safety codes for childrens toys.

I was just wondering, did Felicity's table set ever have chairs upholstered with red cushioned seats instead of the blue? I saw a set on Craigslist that the person said were not a fake. But I can't find any information on the table set ever having red cushioned chairs. Thanks! I have seen one like that on Ebay, and think maybe it was re-covered from the original blue. The seat cushions do come out from what I have read, so that is possible.

My DGD has one and it has held up very well. I got it off Ebay, it was in perfect condition, and of ocurse not as expensive as if I got it from AG, but she really likes it, and it is well worth the money IMO.

As I see pictures of Felicity in her riding habit, I see varying types of feathers used in her hat. My set has a small, hard to see feather, actually two feathers, which cannot be seen when viewed from the front of the hat. However, on other pictures of Felicity, I see almost a fluffy plume type of feather that sticks out from the hat itself. My hat came from Ebay, so that means maybe something came off of it, or have they changed the style of feathers used in the hat itself? Have any of you added a feather or two to the hat?

Ok Ladies and Gents, what is that thing in Felicity's treats set? The tall conical thing? Is it pastery with powdered sugar? Like doughnuts? Details, please. And what do you think is in the parfait glasses? Jello? How did they get gelatin to set? I bought this item as I'm going to set up a tea scene for my Felicity and Elizabeth and when I took it out of the box I thought - what the heck is this thing?! Very pretty, but very mysterious! And in real life, how tall would it have been? About a foot tall? It is monstrous when you consider the scale. About as long as the girls' torsos. And Felicity, Elizabeth, and Mrs. Manderlay (sp) are going to eat this thing all by themselves? LOL! Not too dainty! Playthings has the description under Felicity, all her outfits and accessories. It says the triangular piece is actually supposed to be a tower of cakes, surrounded with a ring of fruit and tarts. The glasses contain pretend flummery, which supposedly was Felicity's favorite. It was an oatmeal based type of sweet, soft pudding, which was popular back in the day.

I love the way Molly's bed looks when paired off with her nightstand and vanity. Alone, it looks a little lost, and that's the way it looks at the KC store displayed all by itself (with Molly, of course), but since the nightstand and vanity are no longer available, it is just kind of plain to me. On the positive side, it is the most reasonably priced bed of all of them (historicals) so you don't exactly break the bank if you want two. My Molly has a darling room with her bed, and with the vanity, it "glams" it up a bit and looks so feminine, without all the frills and pink, gold and silver!!

I got an older wooden one off Ebay at a crazy cheap price, but it has been amazingly sturdy and has held up very well, even with granddaughters playing with it. I have the nightstand, dressing table, plus an extra nightstand and a cute wingback chair in her room. It fits in so well, and looks darling. However, when at AGP KC recently, they just had the bed and Molly in her pj's in a display area, and I thought it looked kind of bare, since all the other accessories are now retired. It needs something "extra" to pull it all together!
