I have waited for this doll for so long! If only she had brown eyes.... I knew I wanted her the minute I saw her in the catalog. She is what I've been wanting as my book-Elizabeth for Felicity!
But I've also been enjoying Elizabeth (we call her Bee in the 21st century!) as a modern girl. She's sort of become my side-kick lately when she's not hanging out with Felicity. She looks great in both period and modern clothes, and her hair is so great for styles from either period.
I'm impressed with the quality of construction as well. The last couple dolls I got new from AG (2 Rebecca's and Molly) have all had rather floppy limbs right out of the box and some crazy wig issues. #55, however, seems to have tight limbs and beautiful hair. One side seems longer than the other, as someone else mentioned, but with the wave it's not too noticeable.
Overall, I adore her!

My sundress arrived, but then I had to wait to pick up the boots I wanted to pair with it I hiked up the dress a bit too to show off the boots, using the headband as a belt. Here is Mia Susanne, touring the garden.

Just a clarification question -- does the laptop fit in the bag? Is it a tight fit? Thanks for all the info/pics!

Here are some pictures of Felicity's hair after using the curlers. I lightly misted and left the curlers in for 24 hours with the hair totally curled up to the scalp (not just the ends)

I love this outfit for Rebecca! I think she looks great in purple, and the design of the dress looks super cosy for the Winter holiday of Hanukkah. The ribbon is great too, albeit a bit short. I like that it's embroidered rather than printed, but it's hardly long enough to tie a nice ribbon around Rebecca's head! I was very frustrated with the tights and shoes. The tights are hardly big enough for Rebecca's body and have zero extra space. The shoes are super tight and I could not figure out a way to get them on without stretching the tights back over her feet. I haven't taken them off, but I'm sure the fragile tights are snagged underneath those darling shoes I give in an A-, fantastic outfit and shoe design, but the shoes are a bit too small and the tights are flimsy.

My sister and I split this item -- she took the trunk to hold all her items for Nellie, and I took the costume pieces for my Rebecca.
I LOVE the little pieces! Each thing is not exactly spectacular on its own, but when put together, these pieces are adorable! I love the little gloves -- the stitching for the fingers is a great detail.

I just got Rebecca this week and I also experienced hair issues. It seems that the right side (when looking at her face) is not curled as much as the left, thus it appears longer than Rebecca's right side (the left side when looking at her face). I think this is because of the hair being pushed to her right (our left) side in the box. However, the curls do not seem to bounce back and match up with the other side, even with some water and finger curling The dress is fantastic though -- love the accuracy, the detail, and the BOOTS! LOVE the high-button boots; they are unique and versatile. I would give the doll a B and the outfit an A+!

Just got this outfit today! It's fantastic, overall.
* I was, for some reason, expecting the skirt and top to be separate, but they're OK together. Wish I could mix and match though!
* The broom is a bit cheesy/fake-looking, but I'm glad it's sturdy and stands on its own.
* I like the hat, but it is snug and doesn't fit over Mia's thick hair (I have yet to try it on anyone else).
* The socks and boots are my favorite parts -- the socks are super fun, but maybe a bit tall. When pulled fully up, they are about halfway up her thighs! The boots are fantastic -- very unique and easy to put on. The velcro up the back is a dream, and it doesn't bulge out or look like it's velcro'd in the back.
A -- points taken off for the skirt/top being attached and the broom being a bit fake-looking. Everything else is great!

I adore this outfit! I loved it in pictures for months and finally went for it.
The skirt and sweater are made of fantastic fabric that actually looks and feels like wool. The skirt is a bit tight (I've only tried it on a PM doll) and doesn't have much stretch, but it was OK.
The ribbons are nice and sturdy, but mostly just ribbons...lol
The socks are great; I've been wanting some plain white short socks for awhile! The shoes are certainly a pain and not as well made as Molly's old blue saddle shoes. I had trouble getting them on ONE of my PM doll's feet, but solution: a doll shoe horn, a.k.a. a metal spoon. My dad's idea -- and it worked quite well. However, my doll probably won't be taking them off for awhile!
Overall I love the outfit, but it's classic Mattel: rather small.

I was also wary of this outfit because of the color. The pictures on the AG website were NOT attractive, especially the pompon on the top of her head. Once the outfit disappeared I was kicking myself because I wanted a complete collection but had waited on this outfit. I recently found out it was available at the Minneapolis store, so I was able to get it shipped. I was SO wrong! The color looks fantastic on Felicity, even with her red hair. The fabric is beautiful; almost feels like high-quality linen! The roses on the sleeves seem very fragile so I will have to take extra care of those. I was worried about the pinner staying up without pins, as AG doesn't include them anymore, but it stays up just fine and doesn't look weird. Also, I placed the pompon off to the side of her head rather than right in the middle and it looks very sweet. As a quintesential piece of Felicity's wardrobe, this outfit is a must-have, and definitely worth the price.

What does the...ahem...under part look like? I'm assuming it has briefs attached and isn't just open underneath like a dress...?

I bought Nellie for my sister and let her try on my gardening outfit before she went home. The hat looks a little strange because we perched it on top of her bow...my sister thought it was too sweet to take out

I bought this outfit for my 18" dolls. The pants, as pictured above, make a great pair of versatile capris. The waist is elastic, which is nice and easy to put on and take off. The hem stitching is purple, but it's not really bright so it will still match with a lot.
The shoes are a bit cheesy...probably cute on the Bitty Baby, but don't really work for an 18". They fit, but the bottoms are soft vinyl and are clearly not street shoes as the other 18" doll shoes are.
Shirt and hat comments later....I haven't actually put them on yet!

I love the lavender ribbon on the mob cap -- it is pretty, subtle, and surprisingly versatile. I don't care for the purse. Perhaps they didn't change it since they changed the dress, because it's mostly burgundy and I think it clashes with the lavender dress. Also, I have to pull really hard on the ribbon to tighten the drawstring and I'm afraid it won't last

I bought this outfit new in May 2008 and have only tried it on a PM doll -- it is difficult to get tight enough that her body/undergarments do not show.
I am getting a brand new Felicity within the next few days, so maybe it will fit her better because of the slimmer body...we'll see!
