My Cinderella doll arrived! For all I was prepared for something different; not at all what I had hoped in this doll, I was taken aback lovey, lovely doll, yes, ad the misgivings about her hair were not well realized. But this is the very first American Girl doll that does not evoke AG to me. Cinderella is an excellent version of the Disney movie. Yes, her hair is a yellow blonde instead of the more caramel color that better matched the cartoon version , but the hairstyle, face, ball gown, the whole look is seriously Cinderella. AG did well with this doll as the Cinderella character. What surprised me the most about this doll is how much she reminds me of my dolls back in the day, more than a half century ago, like 60years ago. The main reason is her skin tone. Cinderella is lighter, whiter, pinker than any of the AG dolls. Her face does not have the nuances and shading that In used to seeing in AG dolls. I will be adding some light color to her face, which I believe will help Right now she looks so much like ….a doll, which of course she is but very generic. The other feature about her that reminds me of dolls in the 60s is her very yellow blonde hair. One of the marvelous things about AG wigs is that they are multi colored. Not just one color I’m not a fan of the thicker chunkier color blocking that a lot of the newer dolls have, but AG wigs tend to have a variance of shades of color that give depth to them. Not so Cinderella. So what do I think of Cinderella? Yes, I took down her bun. I didn’t find the layers, curls , possible thin spots an issue. I like the cascades of curls that can free flow. I found it easy to style and shape despite the curls. Not the traditional brushable hair that I prefer but not like shaped curls that are difficult for me to shape. Not like Evette at all or even Courtney., the layers and the looser, unshaped leaves a lot more leeway. I rather like the wig. Even though there are limitations on how one can shape it. My Cinderella’s eyes are not quite even but I think the slight asymmetry gives her a softer expression. I had hoped for the light blue eyes but I think the darker blue works better for her. As a Disney Cinderella doll, I give 8 out of 10. I wish she has more of the AG nuances that make this such a great doll line. As a new AG doll, again 8 out of 10. Needs a bit of work on my part to add to my collection, a bit of make up. But she will be a unique addition, and , yes, a very pretty doll. Will be posting photos this week. My Ella is a modern day girl, and will be wearing contemporary outfits. Tiana’s ball gown suits her more than her meet gown because she is not Cinderella! I have to admit I was shocked when you wrote that you ordered the Cinderella doll as I know you like to go and pick your dolls out in person at the store. I was wondering how you planned to changed her makeup/skin tone - what process will you be using?

Sorry that I don't have any pictures, but Evette's accessories are very well made. The jacket is lovely. It's a gray with tiny white pinstripes and beautiful orange and red/pink embroidered blooms on it. In her book, the jacket looked like it might have been a blue jean jacket, but it's not. The purse is brown with tassels and well made also. It's very cute. The cream colored sunglasses go very well with Evette's coloring. I give this set an A+.

I am enjoying my new friend Evette so much! We are bonding like crazy. This is my first Josefina mold and I think she is just stunning. I have to thank bingandnelsonfan for her pictures as they inspired me to choose an Evette with a higher forehead, instead of one whose wig sits lower on her forehead. This makes the difference for me. I love her skin tone, her freckle pattern, her beautiful eyes and more pronounced lip color. One word of warning. While her hair is beautiful and my girl had a really thick wig, when you first take the hair out of the net, let the curls fall on their own to losen up. I finger-combed then to pull the curls down and that made the hair frizz. I had to spray some water and wig spray on it to get rid of some of the frizz. I am really happy with my Evette.

I was just looking at my sweet Corinne and realized I had not reviewed her since getting her in February. First, let me say, she has such a sweet face. I don't mind the extra eyelashes as I don't really look at the dolls when they are in their beds so it doesn't bother me. At first I thought I was going to have to re-wig her because I've never been a fan of colored hair. But once I got her and saw that her hair is mostly black in the front and the color is more on the tips in the front and in back I decided not to. The color is also becoming IMHO and blends in with the overall color scheme of her clothes and accessories. I am very happy that I have her as part of my doll family.

I saw this dress at AGPNY and was stunned by its beauty. I prefer the combination on the original Hanukkah shoes with it as shown in QNPoohBear's review. That overlay is extremely delicate and probably could easily tear or rip if not handled carefully. I'm glad the picture of the real dress of this era is shown so that all can see that it is definitely of Rebecca's era.

i have this set as well and paired it with the table from Nanea's luau set to make a Japanese dinner setting. It's one of my favorite sets that AG has ever made. Very well-made and executed even if it is plastic.

I have to chime in here and agree with Candace. This is one of my favorite meet accessory sets as well. With the exception of the headband (simply because I prefer the elastic ones) I love every piece in this set. I'm using the wristlet as a billfold since the wristlet itself can be either snipped off or just folded over into the purse to look like a billfold. The sweater and leggings are super soft and that color combination of the lavender and pale blue with that cute lavender stitching on the pants is so pretty.
It is a bit pricey at $30 (would have preferred $28), but considering you get another almost complete outfit, you can't really complain.

I purchased this set yesterday and I like it a lot. It is plastic, but plastic well-done, if there is such a thing. My only concern is that the legs on the tripod seem to be on some type of spring and are somewhat loose. I could see this as potentially getting broken very easily by someone in the target age group if they are not careful, so beware. I am glad that the legs adjust on the tripod to give it a little more height. The backpack is adorable and very realistic and so is the camcorder. I love all of the little scenes that go into the camcorder and cell phone. I rate it B+ only because of the loose legs and maximum height of the the tripod.

I have this set and love it. The radio does actually work and has a small antenna wrapped around the back. I was able to get my favorite local radio station and it played much louder than Molly's radio or Julie's stereo. The book is a beautiful abridged version of the real thing and the little blue elephant is a real cutie. There are also stickers but the draw for me were the three larger items I've mentioned. I was surprised it was an actual radio as I thought it would be like Molly's and play Motown tunes and report news of the day. It's a great set. I give it a solid A.

Sorry I can't post any pics on this board but just had to share how much I love this doll. I originally was not happy that she would have the Sonali mold as I already had Cécile. But Miss Melody Ellison has stolen my heart. She is a beautiful doll - and really looks nothing at all like Cécile. I think the thing I like most about her is her wig. It really makes a difference. I initially thought her wig might be too short. But in actuality, it looks more realistic. It is so soft and very manageable. My doll, like most when I took her out of the box had the flip on only one side. I wet the other side with hot water and rolled it using the sponge rollers from one of the styling sets. It came out just fine. I am also lucky that my Melody does not have thick bangs. I am not much of a bangs person and I wanted to make sure that the Melody I chose had thinner bangs, which would be easier for me to re-style. I also wanted a Melody with a fuller face and was able to find the perfect girl with both of these attributes. My Melody Ellison is a modern girl and so far, she looks great in all of the modern outfits I've tried on her. I give her an A+.

I have this dress and love it. I paired it with Isabelle's coral flats and just love the look. For $14 you really can't beat it. It looks like jean material, but it is not denim, it is actually very soft. I give it an A+.

I purchased this set and am very pleased with all of it. It is one of the sturdier luggage sets AG has produced. Love all the little accessories that come with it - especially the little luggage tag, which is made of a faux leather just like a real luggage tag.

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago and I must say, with the exception of the clumped together LOVE cookies, I like this version better. I love the color and design of the pail and I think the grapes and meat pie look much better. I also prefer the blue/white napkin. I never had a desire to purchase the first version and I'm glad AG re-released it in the new format.

Sorry that I don't have pictures, but I wanted to share that this is a great piece of furniture - very versatile. It's wood and this particular pink color will coordinate well with many existing MyAG furniture pieces. It is a good size and could easily be a small chest of drawers or credenza. It has three nice size drawers for storage. I love the orange vase and flowers that come with it. The flowers appear to be Gerber daisies in pink, red, yellow and orange. The clock is the same as the one that came with McKenna's loftbed set only yellow so nothing new about it. The three postcards are cute but again, similar to those in other sets. All in all, I give the set an A- because they could have come up with a different clock or perhaps another phone, or small television.

I saw this outfit last night. Cuter in person than I thought it would be, but still not my cup of tea. Except for those shoes. They look like a silkscreen print. My Miiko would love those shoes.

I purchased this at the New York store with not much expectation, just thought "Why not, it's only $16." Boy am I glad I did. I have my Lanie wearing it with the floral band around her hair, which is pulled to one side on her right. I've paired it with the green flip flops from the two-in-one blue/green/white swimsuit from a couple of years ago and the yellow sunglasses that also went with that outfit. She's wearing the beautiful scarab bracelet from the seaside tote set. She looks simply marvelous. The outfit and accessories go so beautifully with her blonde hair and hazel green eyes. I am so happy I purchased this outfit.

As I posted in another thread, I purchased #31 on Friday, Jan 3. This is the first time I've gotten a doll with the same face mold as another doll but I love her. In my stories she is Aden Walker and she is Addy's great great great great grand niece. She will be one of my modern girls living at the International School of the Arts. BTW, I've never been particularly into styling dolls' hair but I love styling Aden's. I water set it with foam rollers and it turned out beautifully. The warmer skintone coupled with the rich brown hair is a beautiful combination on this doll.

Just purchased this off ebay and I love it - much better than the newer set. My grandmother had bedspreads like this. Very authentic to the time period. Glad I got if for a reasonable price. The set really goes for alot on ebay these days.

I have wanted this bed for a long time but could not justify getting another bed - it is my fifth - really sixth but I no longer have Cécile's. I'm gettjng a new girl soon so I purchased this with the original bedding, which I preferrdd over the newer set for $65. It was in great condition - only used for display. It is sturdy and very well-made. It looks great in my modern room even with the origjnal bedspread. A+

Sorry I don't know how to post pics so I can't share that with you. But I had to write a review for this fabulous outfit. The sweater is to die for - extremely soft, beautiful color and design. The leggings are thicker and more suitable for "cold weather." The boots are soft and a lovely shade, which is a cross between pink and lavendar I would say. It pairs extremely well with the puffy jacket and fingerless gloves, which match in color to the boots. The headband is wider than most and is also a nice soft quality and matches the color of the boots. Without a doubt I give this outfit an A++. You'll love it!

I have this set and purchased it without purchasing either of the two holiday dresses as I already had a dress I wanted to pair it with. I absolutley love it all, the jacket, watch and nutcracker. Is it overpriced - yes, but isn't just about everythng AG makes overpriced?

The accessories are great! Much nicer than I had even expected. I did see the chair as most of the accessories were in the smaller box containing the chair. The chair is really cute and sturdy. Seeing the bed up close at AGPNY, I really like it. For those of you who want a "doll room" you really get it with this set. I give the entire set an A+. I think it is worth the money.

I just received Meatloaf today and I love him. I had seen him at AGPNY and immediately fell in love but I was not in the market for antoher pet. Well I never thougth AG could make a dog that I loved just as much as Coconut but they did. He is well made and has a hard body, but his covering is very soft. He feels like my friend's Shar Pei, which he kind of reminds me of in a way. He has the sweetest expression on his face. A+

I received Julie's bug a couple of days ago and I love it! Even though the car is plastic, it is very well-made and HEAVY. It's heavy enough to make you think it was made of metal. Even though I wish the doors opened and the windshield wipers worked, it is still really cute and my girls can't wait to have fun washing and riding in it. I think it is well-made despite the fact that it's plastic. The plastic is a lot nicer than that used for the OG jeep.

I saw this doll two weeks ago at an American Girl fashion show at a local museum. At first I did not know which doll she was -the little girl who was carrying her obviously picked her to be her mini me as the doll looked just like her. I finally realized which one she was and I must say I was taken aback by just how pretty this doll is. She was wearing the new Petals and Posies blue dress, which is also a lot prettier in person. That outfit comes with a beautiful blue barrette, which the little girl used to hold the side bang back so you really didn't see it. The mother had obviously done something to make the doll's hear look very full as opposed to slick and close to the head. She really is a brown-haired, brown eyed Kit. Very pretty.
