This is a cute dress. It's not my favorite Addy dress; it's not my least favorite, either.
Positives: I adore the pattern. It's super cute and the colors look good on Addy. I like that the fabric isn't see-through; I was disappointed by the see-through fabric on the Flower Picking/Kite Flying outfit. The skirt is nice and full, unlike some of Addy's newer dresses. The hat adds a nice touch and I really like that it has an elastic at the bottom to help it stay on Addy's head -- the fact that other straw hats, like Kirsten's, don't stay on really bothers me. Finally, the cherries on the collar add a cute touch.
Negatives: The only real negative I have for this outfit is the fact that the collar doesn't seem to want to lay flat.
Grade A.

Mattel
This dress is nice. Not a favorite but not a least favorite, either. I like it's significance in the books.
I was surprised to see that the newer version is felt and not wool, but it didn't bother me too much. I don't like how the ends aren't finished - it is annoying and a little unattractive. And the green in the middle is very, very bright. I'm not so sure I like that. But it is a nice piece, anyway. Mine is a 2009 version and it fits my 2009 Felicity very well.
And the hat is very nice. I like the gold piping and the little feathers. It is just as sturdy and nice as the hat that comes with the riding breeches, only a little more elaborate. It stays on doll's heads very nicely, just like the riding breeches hat.
So: Riding outfit: B+ In conclusion, this is a nice, solid piece but not without flaws.

I really like the breeches. A very different sort of outfit for Felicity. I purchased mine off of ebay earlier this year.
The detail is cute and much better than I thought it would be. It fits my 2009 Lissie just fine, though it can be annoying to get on. It works well with the newer shift that my Felicity came in.
The hat is nice - plain and simple, but very nice. And practical. It can go with many other things.
So: Riding Breeches: A Conclusion: This is a very interesting part of Felicity's wardrobe and am happy to have it in my collection!

I can't say enough nice things about this dress. I love it! I bought mine earlier this year off of ebay and was very pleased at what I found.
I love the style. Love it. The jacket fits my 2009 Lissie perfectly. It is not feel like plastic and has a very pleasant pattern on it. I don't find it hard to lace at all. The skirt is made of nice, thick material (does not feel like plastic, either) and there is a subtle vertical pattern on it. It fits my Lissie great as well, unlike the skirt of her Christmas dress.
I find that this dress looks great on the newer and older versions of Felicity. It is defiantly one of my favorite Felicity outfits - my Lissie doll is wearing it right now!
So: Laced Jacket and Skirt: A (I don't give A+'s). In conclusion, I believe that this is a wonderful period outfit and a must-have for any collector of Felicity!

I do not like this dress at all. I only got it because I like to have all of the dresses for each character I have. But what a waste.
First, this dress seems a little to frilly for a middle-class colonial girl. I do not think that Felicity would have owned such an item.
Second, I hate those ugly plastic jewels on the front. They aren't historically accurate and do nothing for the outfit.
Third, the dress (like many of the ones AG still produces for Felicity) seems to short length wise. It falls at an awkward, unattractive length. Not at all like the older outfits and a few of the newer ones.
Fourth, the colors don't look so hot on my M Felicity, in my opinion.
Fifth, the dress is all one piece! How cheap!
The cap seems all right, though very fragile and it appears to be prone to snagging (though mine hasn't - yet).
I would like this dress a lot better if the dress came in separate pieces and if those horrid jewels weren't there. And if the dress was a little longer.
So: Dress: D In conclusion, this is an all right dress with a few features that make me really dislike it. AG should have done a better job on this one.

This is an important dress because of the significance in her Christmas story, but, alas, it does not look very good on her at all. The bright blue looks off on her - it does her hair and eyes absolutely no justice. Maybe if the material wasn't so shiny and bright...
I like that the dress comes in three segments and has a change of stomacher - very authentic, but the second stomacher looks even worse on her. Also, the skirt fits my Lissie a little too loosely and the doll and dress are both from 2009.
So: Dress: B In conclusion, it is an important dress in one of the books, comes in different pieces, but the color is too bright and shiny to look good on Felicity.

I got my Felicity, my newest doll, on June 25, 2009. She is adorable! Such a nice doll. I like her hair and eyes. Even though AG has changed it, it works well with her. I like the bright green eyes and auburn hair as much as I like the bright red hair and muted green eyes. Felicity's pin curls are a little annoying at times, but they are worth it, as they set her apart from the rest and frame her face very nicely. Her wig is very nice - thick, a little wavy (but not hard to brush and style at all) and very soft. I love her hair! In some light it looks almost brown, though it usually looks nice and auburn. Now her new meet dress is another story. I agree with the person who said it feels like wind-breaker material - it does! I would like it a lot more if it was made out of cotton or something - you know, like something a girl would actually wear in 1774. And lilac is not Felicity's best color at all and clashes with her hair and eyes. I do like the cut of the dress, though. The rose garden is much nicer on her, in my opinion, anyway. I did not get the accessories, as I never do. I always just go with the cheapest option . My Lissie's legs were fairly loose, too. I wonder why. So: Doll: A (I never give an A+ because I don't think anything is perfect). Dress: D Overall (doll+dress): B In conclusion, Lissie is excellent but is best off in other attire.

This dress is quite possibly my favorite of Samantha's many dresses! So simple yet so captivating! The gorgeous blue color brings out Sam's features, and the color and style also look wonderful on my Kirsten and Nellie dolls. It is nice for Sam to have another non-pink dress! I like to use this dress without the pinafore, though it looks adorable with it as well. The pinafore is very versatile, and looks wonderful on a variety of other dresses as well. The hair bow is too cute and completes the picture. I have no complaints about this dress.

My dress is an '05 model and I love it! I agree that it is a nice addition to her wardrobe, since everything seems to be pink. I am fine with the material, though it is not flannel. I love the style of the dress - very different from her other dresses. The only problem I have with this dress is that some of the thread used to sew the top two buttons on seems to be coming through the button hole. I also love the black hair ribbon, and how it brings out the little black bow on the collar.
By the way, I didn't know about the pleats until today! I'll have to work on that...

I like this dress a lot. It is simple-ish but very striking when put on Samantha - the bright color makes her dark hair and eyes pop! I have a 2005 version and the color is a toned-down cranberry red. The only problem I have with the dress is that the edges on the sash around her waist can fray a little. Also, I don't love the material, but all in all, very nice.

This is one of my favorite dresses for Kirsten! So simple, sweet, and summery! Love the color combination. My only problem is with the hat - it is too shallow and wide for Kirsten's head and never stays on for more than a second. I never use it, but the dress looks great without it! The dress also looks great on my Nellie and pretty good on my Samantha...

I love this dress - it is one of my top favorite of Sam's dresses. I love the color(s) and it looks so historical! It fits my 2003 Kirsten, 2005 Samantha, and 2006 Nellie wonderfully!

I love Kirsten's meet dress - so simple and pretty! I especially love how the deep blue (but not too deep blue) dress brings out her crystal-blue eyes! The only problems I have are: 1. the sleeves sometimes wrinkle a little bit, and 2. the dress has stretched out a bit in the torso area. Other than that - great, practical dress for Kirsten!

I like this dress. I used to dislike it, but it's been growing on me these past 3 years. The clip isn't great, but I'm neutral on it. The shoes are too cute, only the heals make it very hard to stand Nellie up on her own. Also, the necklace broke and because it was so ugly, I didn't really care.

Not my favorite of Sam's many dresses. I dislike the color and find that it looks a bit tacky, too. I liked the color of the dress better in the movie. The one thing I do like about this dress is the elastic help on the bouquet of flowers - as mentioned earlier, it is a great help!

Nellie was my third doll, given to me on my 11th birthday in 2006. I guess you can say I got her in the middle of production, as she was released in 2004 and discontinued in 2008. Anyway, Nellie is a stunning doll - so different from all of the other girls sold by AG. I absolutely love her deep blue eyes with the light blue meet dress, sort of similar to the way Kirsten's light blue eyes are brought out with her dark blue meet dress. Her hair is very short, cute, and easy. I have no problem getting it back into the style it was in when I got her. The only problem with the dress is that the oils from your hands stain the cloth in areas where she is frequently held (for me, that's on the lower part of the sleeves), but I don't really mind. Grade A. I never give the dolls A+.

I love my Samantha! She was my second doll and I received her for my 11th birthday in 2005. She has such a sweet expression and a nice complexion - pale skin with dark features, just like me! The only complaint I have is that her hair can be somewhat had to take care of, so I recommend her for adult/older collectors and not young children. Also, I love her meet dress and its vibrant colors. I dislike how many of her outfits are pale/pastel/pink, but I can live with that. (I have all but two of the outfits ever produced for her - the Velvet dress and the Winter Party outfit). Grade A for sure!

I live my Kirsten doll as well! She was my first doll, and I received her form my 9th birthday in June 2003. I was pretty obsessed with pioneers during that stage of my like! She is an earlier Mattel version, I guess, and she does look somewhat different from the Kirsten's being produced today. She looks like the 2002 Kirsten (an earlier picture on this thread). Kirsten is stunning, though I would only recommend her for older collectors - her hair can be hard to take care of. She needs re-stringing and a general cleaning of her limbs, but other that that, she has held up great and will be celebrating her 6th birthday this year!
