Lanie's raccoon is a little pricey for what you get, but SO DARN
The can is 5 1/4 in tall with the lid on and 4 in across at the top.
The Raccoon is 5 1/2 in tall, but he does fit completely inside the can.
He also works well with Kirsten. (remember the raccoon that burned down their cabin?)

My mom bought me my Mini Molly not long after the mini dolls first came out. I was never overly impressed with her. The mini dolls just don't do it for me. Not sure why.... Molly's glasses are a problem. They do not stay on AT ALL! I have no idea how I managed not to lose them. I've never had problems with her shoes falling off as others have said. But then again I've never even taken them off. Her sweater doesn't look quite right. And her curly braids bug me. She's NOT Kirsten! I'm glad I have her, but I doubt I'll be buying anymore mini dolls. B- SailorMolly

I love this outfit! I even have the girl sized slip dress for me. It was my Easter dress in 1998. But I just recently got the doll sized version. Even at 28 I like to dress like my dolls. The necklace did not come with the outfit. I made that myself. The doll version is made just like the girls' except the buttons on the front aren't real. There is Velcro in the back. Close up of fruit pattern and shoes. i33.photobucket.com/albums/d75/sailorstitch/American%20Girl/Lanie/BirthdaySlipDress2.jpgPonytail holder So cute! A+++ SailorMolly

I bought this with my very first "paycheck" around 1996. (Long story.... I'd tell it but I don't want to anger Angry Jess. ) I've always loved this sleeping bag. It was the only piece of real AG bedding I had growing up. I don't have the bunk beds these were supposed to go on (although I always wanted them). But I do have a set of bunk beds that my dad made for me years ago. These make great blankets for any bed. Front Back Inside Rolled Up I always assumed that the pocket on the front was made for the mini dolls. That's what I used it for. The mini dolls were released at about the same time as the sleep sack. SailorMolly

Jacket & Cap Bold AG logos on the front and back of this purple varsity jacket tell the world that she's proud to be an American Girl. Comes with matching cap. $20 The original Jacket & Cap set is amazing! The jacket looks and feels like a real varsity jacket. The outside feels like wool. There are five snaps down the front and a patch with the American Girl name. The pockets are real. On the back the AG logo is embroidered on. The inside is lined with satin and quilted! I loved it so much when I got it that I wanted to get the girl sized version for myself. *makes mental note to check Ebay* The cap is also made of wool. There is an AG logo patch sewn on the front. In the back there is an adjustable strap. The details on both items are beautifully done. I highly recommend this set. A+++ SailorMolly *mod edit to remove some member-deleted image links*

I just bought this outfit off Ebay for Lanie... well most of it anyway. I'm missing the sock and one boot so I can't comment on those. This outfit is great for Lanie. Very outdoor appropriate. There's lots of mix and match possibilities with other outfits. The windbreaker is easy to get on and off, even with Lanie's curls. The shirt is very... BRIGHT... but I love it. It's just my style. The shorts are really cute. They even have real pockets on the sides. *mod edit to remove dead image links*

My girls have been having a lot of fun with Emily's sled this winter. I got mine off Ebay for just under retail. I love everything about it except for the fact that the rope is too short. I wanted to take a picture of Kirsten pulling the sled while Molly sat on it, but that didn't work due to the short rope. Other than that it's awesome! I *LOVE* this dress! I'm in awe over how beautiful it looks on Molly. I bought this one Ebay a few months ago for $25 + shipping. It was worth EVERY STEEL PENNY! This is one dress that is worth the elevated Ebay prices. You will not be disappointed. SailorMolly *Mod edit to remove links to member-deleted photos*

I agree with Captain Syd about this not really being appropriate for a 10 year old. I wasn't sure I wanted it at first. But when it went on sale on Cyber Monday I decided to grab it. I'm glad I did. It's quite a bit nicer in person. But the bikini top still bugs me. I think it looks MUCH better with the cover up that michele made for me. Overall I give it a B. Here's a picture of Kirsten wearing the suit. SailorMolly

I recently got this set off Ebay. I've been dreaming of owning Molly's wooden table and chairs for over 15 years. And I was not disappointed in the least bit. The set is so versatile and can work with so many different time periods.

I just got this outfit the other day. I love it! Molly looks so cute in it. I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with a shirt for under the jacket. But I just used a shirt I already had.

I just got this set the other day. I have to disagree with PleasantMemories for the most part. I had no problems what so ever getting the skates on my PM Molly with thick socks. I was a little worried that the blades might be plastic, but they're metal. The earmuffs fit fine and look great on Molly. They also fit my cats just fine. The muff does seem a little thin. And a wrist cord would be handy.... But it's still really cute. I'm very happy with the set. A+ *mod edit to remove links to member-deleted images*

I got this set back in the mid '90s. My lamp no longer works. But it never gave off much light either. I've mainly used it for decoration. I remember actually filling the water bottle with water once. And I read the Nancy Drew book. My mom had read me some Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books as bedtime stories in the past so I was familiar with the characters. I was just disappointed that it wasn't the whole book. That wasn't one we had and I wanted to know how it ended. I never did find a copy. I seen a copy once, but my mom didn't have enough money that day. *makes mental note to look online* B SailorMolly

I got this for Christmas, just before it was retired. Whew, that was close!
I mainly wanted it for Molly's doll. From pictures I've seen I like the look of the Mattel nurse doll better than the PC one. But I would have rather had the PC snow globe. The Mattel one looks a bit too modern. More like the Christmas snow globes that I had growing up in the '80s, not the '40s.

Pleasant Company version I got a used, nearly complete set off Ebay not too long ago. I'd been dreaming of owning this tea set for over 15 years and was not disappointed. Everything feels very sturdy and durable even though it's made from China. I didn't get the napkins so I can't comment on those. Part of the red stripe on the tablecloth I received has bleed on to the white. So be careful if you ever want to wash it. It may come out pink!

I got this set during the Cyber Monday Sale. I can't wait to take Molly "camping" in the yard this spring. The mess kit has to be my favorite part. I was happily surprised that the newspaper can be read (with good eyes and a strong magnifying glass!) I didn't put it inside the sit-upon either. I wanted to leave it out so Molly could read it. Right now it's in her school bag.

I love, LOVE, *LOVE* Molly's swimsuit!!! It is too cute! I do agree that the necklace does seem a bit big. But it was probably made that way to meet toy safety standards. This outfit will get a lot of use this summer. A+++ SailorMolly

I got this dress for Christmas. Normally I wait until I have a doll before I start buying her collection. But this dress was so cute that I couldn't wait any longer. Plus it was bought while it was on the spotlight sale. The colors aren't quite as bright as they are in the catalog/stock photos, but it still really cute. Here's Molly wearing the dress as a hand-me-down from her older sister, Jill. Lanie wanted to try the dress on too. And the dress is absolutely breathtaking on Emily! A+ SailorMolly

I bought Addy's Heartwarmer and slippers for my Kirsten. My Kirsten needed something warm to snuggle up in, but I didn't want to pay Ebay prices for her Housecoat and Sockor set. I thought Addy's set looked like something Kirsten's mom could make. Now Kirsten is all nice and cozy. She esp likes the slippers. A+ SailorMolly

I got Kirsten's nightgown for Christmas so mine is from the end of the line. When I first looked at it I was surprised that bow on the neckline was yarn and not ribbon. To me it made it look homemade. But after I thought about it I realized that ribbon would be scarce out on the prairie. They could make yarn from sheep's wool, but ribbon would be harder to make/get. So the homemade feeling I was getting was historically accurate for Kirsten. It just didn't quite feel like AG quality to me. For that it gets an A-. SailorMolly

These pajamas are my absolute favorite piece from Kit's collection. Even though I don't have Kit (YET!) I want to make sure I got them before they were gone for good. Here they are modeled by my new Lanie doll. I was really surprised that the pajamas were all one piece instead of a top and pants. I guess I should have read the reviews first. I still love it. It's so cute! The slipper are easy to get on and off. The pom poms should stay on as long as my cats don't get ahold of them. A++ SailorMolly

My Lanie finally came yesterday! *happy dance* I already love her to bits.
Her meet outfit is so CUTE! I haven't had that much trouble with her headband. I've had it off and on a couple times. It's takes a bit of work to get it back on, but it's not that hard. For those of you that have had trouble, I think the elastic just needs to stretch out a bit.
Lanie is my first curly haired doll so I'm still learning how to handle her hair.
My favorite part about her right now is that you can fold the skirt of the dress up underneath to make it a shirt.

I won Coconut's Beach Set on Ebay and it came in the mail today. After blowing up the inner tube I tried to put it around Coconut's neck like in AG's stock photo. But it won't fit. I can put it around his ears. Or on his nose. But not around his neck. My mom suggested that I have him sit on it. That's cute, but is there any way to get it around his neck? I got my saddle shoes in '94 or '95. They fit my Molly just fine. I've never had any problems with the soles coming off. I wanted them because Molly needed some "play" shoes. And I liked these better than the brown oxfords. I had a pair of saddle shoes when I was 8 or 9, only mine were black and white.
