Tee, Hat, and Bracelet Set - $14 PWP Feb/March 2014 with a $50 Purchase in Store while supplies last
I LOVE this set! Includes a white bucket hat with blue trim and a blue hibiscus flower, a blue butterfly tee shirt, and a plastic kukui bead bracelet.
Overall outfit: A ~ This a pretty decent value set. You can get creative with the bottoms you choose to pair it up with and shoes or sandals. In this picture Saige is wearing AG white shorts and the blue Hawaii Vacation Outfit sandals.
Tee Shirt: A for cute design and exclusive to the year 2014 ~ made just like the "Make-Your-Own" tees at the American Girl Places.
Bucket Hat: B+ Cute design, but seems a bit over sized. Would have loved to have seen it made with a sequin sewn in the center like Kanani's hairclip.
Plastic Kukui Bead Bracelet: B+ Cute idea, seems to be a redesign of Kanani's bracelet.
I highly recommend this set as a cute addition to your dolls' summer wardrobe. It really is too cute and one of the better Spring PWP's seen in awhile.
could the plates be laminated to make them more sturdy?
I just found this set in great condition on Craigslist. It's adorable and I'm so glad I can add it to my Saige collection! All my dolls love tacos.
I don't think laminating the plates would work. They are styled exactly like the "gourmet" heavy duty designer paper plates are. They curl up on the edges, so if they were laminated, they would be flattened and squished. I would say, instead, perhaps coating them with something, like Modge Podge, would be better.

Everyone gave really great reviews, and after my inspection of my Saige doll, I totally give her an "A". When she was first released on the AG Facebook paige I immediately thought she was way too similar to Nicki DOTY. However, after getting her, she really does have her own look. Her hair is a much deeper and brighter red, and her eyes more blue.
Someone mentioned her undies in the Saige Discussion, that they perfectly matched her blue eyes, and really made them pop! The undies are plain, no designs. So I will post pics of them here. :-) I posted pics in both natural light and with a flash:

Melangell gave a great review, so I will post pictures of the dress with Saige wearing it. :-) I would say my own concern is the material the dress is made out of. I would say be careful with heavy play as the material looks like it would "pull" easily if snagged on something. Boots are awesome. I love the deep raspberry color of the dress, it really suites Saige! Price seemed average to me, so I give this one an "A" as well.
First few pictures were taken in natural light, the last three with a flash:

I love the AG animals for the most part. When I get a doll, if she has an animal, I always buy it.
I picked this guy up yesterday at the Atlanta store! As far as adorable, he gets an "A++". His plush fur is of good quality and he is VERY soft. I was disappointed that he is literally just plush. He is not very firm in the legs so he does topple over quite easily. He comes with a VERY simple ribbon as his leash, I was quite dismayed AG chose such a very lame material for this. They could have made it of a better, sturdier material. I am not thrilled his leash is sewn to his head, too...you won't be removing this without cutting it! Granted, Saige walks Rembrandt and Sam a lot in the book, but I would like to have the leash be removeable!
Confusing is he is referred to simply as "Saige's Dog" on the AG box, not Sam or Rembrandt. In the AG catalog I noticed they refer to him as Rembrandt, which as far as I've read in her first book is her grandmother's dog. Saige's dog is Sam.
So, without posting spoiler alerts, I must need to read farther into her books!
Overall, with a $24 price tag, I would rate him about a "C" based on the quality/price comparison.
He could easily be replaced with a dog of similar size and coloring that is NON AG for FAR less. Unless you are mostly an AG purist, like I am. I sit here still shaking my head thinking, "I can't believe you paid $24 for a tiny stuffed dog." SMH
