Here is a picture of it. I did look for holes where the velcro would have been sewn on and did not see any evidence of it. If someone did indeed take off the velcro and replace it with snaps they did a superb job. AGOT Yellow Soccer Jersey with snaps by kgabor19, on Flickr

My mom and I think my sister got her AGOT soccer gear set in 1996 or 1997. Her jersey has yellow velcro. I just purchased the set from a board member and the jersey has snaps instead of velcro.
Anyone here know if the velcro set is older than the snap set?

She came today! She is very beautiful. I am leaning towards an "L" name, maybe Lucy, Lena or Lorelei. I really adore how thick her wig is. It was cloudy and crappy here so I couldn't get a good outdoor shot, but here she is. #49 by kgabor19, on Flickr

I hope my response isn't too late, but I bought the skates for my Laura. Sorry, I do not own Kirsten. I love them and will be adding a second pair for Caroline when free shipping happens. I think they are worth every penny. Laura's Winter Ensemble by kgabor19, on Flickr Caroline's Ice Skates by kgabor19, on Flickr

I do not own Cécile, but here is my #26 modeling the bonnet, dress and boots. I will admit I bought it because of the bonnet and I do love the bonnet. The bonnet is made of a soft and flexible straw looking material. Addy's bonnet is very stiff compared to Cécile's. The dress as others have expressed is thin and cheap. I would have preferred it be made out of a material that didn't remind me of a child's play parachute. I would have liked a nice breathable cotton material. I do not know anything about material used in the 1850s, but Cécile would have sweat like a pig in this dress in the New Orleans summer heat. Dollies do not need swamp butt. Overall, I like the style and color, but the thin material is quite discouraging for a price tag of $36. i947.photobucket.com/albums/ad313/kgabor19/American%20Girl%20Reviews/SDC10036.jpgmod edit to remove oversized, embedded image

I do not own Marie-Grace, but here is my #26 modeling the dress, hat and boots. She is wearing Addy's undies and cream socks from Addy's Birthday Dress. The dress is very cute and I personally like pink. The dress is very spring like with its soft shades of pink and green. I do like the chin strap on the hat. I did find the bodice was a bit tight on my doll when fastening the velcro. I bought the dress for Addy as a dress for her that Harriet had "outgrown", but I do not think my PM Addy is going to be able to fit.

When I first saw this outfit back in the late 90s, I secretly coveted it. I only had Addy back then and was "too old" to play with dolls, but my sister wasn't and I would page through the PC catalog. I actually owned cargo pants and a sweat shirt just like this set. If the grunge look ever comes back Jess is all set, but my doll should be comfortable and wear whatever she wants to. I really like the quality of this outfit, every piece feels solid and well made. The plaid shirt is so soft and I adore the pockets on the pants. I can understand why it is sought after on Ebay.

Next to Kit's Reporter outfit this one of my favorites. I really like that fact that you get so many pieces in the set. I am on my second pair of brown shoes. My son decided to share one of the shoes with my dog and the dog proceeded to shred it. Within minutes of finding the ruined shoe I was on the phone ordering a replacement part. I like this outfit, but it is not one of my favorites from Kit's collection. The socks really annoy me and get fuzzy things on them. Also, they feel thin and cheap. You see the fuzzies in the pictures below. I did not have much of a problem putting the shoes on the feet. Overall, it is a good outfit, but I like Kit's other school outfit better. Beatrice is modeling because she was jealous that Ruthie was the model and wanted her turn. It doesn't look bad on her. This was my goal for 2011. My MIL owns a pale purple version of Kit's School Outfit. She bought it at the Chicago store shortly after Kit was released. She didn't even realize that the outfit is suppose to be blue until I told her. Many people on this board are skeptical of the outfit and think it has faded over the years, but it is purple. My personal opinion is that quality control was off at the plant and for what ever reason purple fabric was used instead of blue. Pictures are below. This dress is very cute and I like that the color is green. I agree with everyone else that the plastic snaps are difficult and annoying. I really have to get my fingernail in between to snap it apart. I haven't broken off a snap, but I am always afraid I will.

This is one of my favorite outfits in Kit's collection. I love the color red and this outfit makes me happy. The red shoes are horribly cute. I also like that the socks are thicker than most.

I purchased the dress locally on Craig's List. It looks very nice on Ruthie and perfect on those hot summer days. I agree with others that it fits a little tight on the doll. I told Ruthie to suck it in for the photo shoot.

It is my 2011 goal to write up reviews for all my AG items. I am starting with Ruthie. I purchased Ruthie last year from a board member as my 1st Mother's Day gift from my son. She was my 2nd doll and my last doll purchase was for a brand new Addy back in 1995. I love Ruthie, I think part of why I love her is that her hair color and mine are nearly identical. I grew up with way too many blonde Barbie dolls as a little girl. I like the fact that her hair is curly, but it also can be frustrating at the same time. Ruthie also looks good in almost every outfit I own, modern and historical. I really like her in Samantha's play dress, Addy's meet dress and Kirsten's winter blouse and skirt paired with her winter woolens. I highly recommend Ruthie to anyone considering to purchase her. Ruthie in her Meet Outfit I love the button details on the front. Her shoes are very cute. I'm not a fan of Kit. So here is Ruthie with her best friend, Beatrice.

I received Addy's Trunk as a belated 2010 Christmas and 2011 Birthday gift from my parents. Hooray for Christmas in March (and the free shipping code)!! I love Addy's trunk and it was much bigger than I expected. The wood feels solid and sturdy. I was able to get all of my Addy collection (clothing and small accessories) in the trunk. I have some dresses from Kirsten's collection and they fit in the bottom compartment, too. My husband commented that Addy looked like a vampire when packed away in the trunk. It would have been nice if Mattel kept the hinge, but that small detail did not deter me from purchasing the Mattel version. I do wish the latch on the front was real. I highly recommend Addy's trunk to any Addy lover. It is a nice way to store her and her collection and keep it dust free. I purchased this outfit from a board member. I have been yearning for this outfit since I was a young girl. I am so happy to own it as an adult and it looks b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l on my PM Addy. The school suit has PC tags and fits my chubby Addy well, but the blouse is a bit snug. I give it an A+ for the quality of the fabric and construction.
