I have a PM addy from when I was a kid ( Xmas of 1993- still has the hang tag that says "dolls made in Germany exclusively for Pleasant Company). A Beautiful doll. Sturdy and well made, very detailed- right down to the threading around her black boot lace holes. She is also a heavy doll. I only wish I had left in her original braid ( but I was 11).
So, i bought one on Ebay, with the original braid still in tact, that had the hang tag and box (the white on white silohouette) - the dress tag said West Germany on this one (mine said made in China). The Ebay doll doll's face was narrower, and the body weight was not as chubby at all- more akin to the Mattel build (but heavier). Has anyone else noticed such a difference in their PM German Addys?
Is that normal? I kinda want to keep her because the hair is still in tact, but the body weight discrepancy concerns me. She is supposed to be practically MIB.
Thoughts??
