I bought this dress for my ten year old niece who wanted it as soon as she saw the things on the web site and got her the girl's matching outfit as well. Ouch, for the price of the girl's 2 pieces, but she's been wearing it each day and it's a perfect summer dress without the tee, and will be fine for her for cooler weather with it. Fits easy and well and is versatile and flexible and is comfortable. Very modest skirt length which will please Papa as well. Flattering to her--it's a win, win.
Since this is all about the doll's version: It's a great dress IMO for the dolls that look best in the muted colors Niece has it on a MG whose aqua eyes stand out from the teal on the dress. I felt this outfit looked like a cross between that roller skating outfit skirt and Mckenna's meet outfit, but it works. And really, if AG had just sold the tee separately instead of merely sewing on faux tee sleeves, it would be as versatile as the old Perfect Plaid outfit. But they did not. The workmanship and quality of the outfit is evident next to the OG outfits I recently purchased. Stellar in both. AG still rules when using this outfit as comparison.
The dress fits easily and well on the doll just as the girl's version fits on the girl and is flattering in cut. A bit warm looking for summer--again regrets on the permanent sleeves, but, oh well. What more to say, other than it looks great on MG, fits like a dream. As mentioned above it is one of the less pricey items in this new release, I guess because it is only a dress and shoes outfit. I agree barettes or a headband would have been nice, but separate tee even better. Sad, as the Perfect Plain outfit, not only had the separate tee but a hat as well for about the same price. But, this dress is a very nice complete outfit. I don't think a $2 increase in price on it for a couple of barretts or a ribbon would have improved my comments on it. Had the thrown it in for the $28, I'd give it some more points for value.
The shoes are terrific. Niece wants some for herself. Funky looking with fold over tops and doodle on them. Something quite different from anything else I've seen AG put out. I give them an A+. There is also a "smart" charm included.
I find grading these things is difficult as it's really a nice outfit with that one "I wish" regarding the separate tee. That's what detracts me from giving it an A+ for the outfit.

I adore her. She is very pretty. I think the minis were getting a little too bland without enough detail in the eyes for a while and with the GOTY minis, this appears to be addressed. I got several of them, and some of them have mismatches on how the eyes are painted, but she's still cute. I really like her hair. Th outfit is spot on. I give her an "A".

AG makes the best PJs for the dolls! This one is a winner. Too cute to be just Pjs. Pants look like yoga pants and the top can be mixed and matched with other pieces too, IMO. Cute slippers and the headband is a nice extra. I think this will make nice stay at home lounge wear more than PJs. Just too nice too wear just in bed. I give it an A.

As others have said, the sweater is sheer and stiff. You can see through it if you hold it up to the light or daylight window. Clearly intended to be worn over a leotard or cami as someone said. Any bulky tee shirts or dark colored anything will interfere with the look.
Mine was not well constructed for the $14, Loose threads, the first time I've had more than one on a new AG wardrobe piece.
The pluses? The color is lovely. I do love that coral. The thumbholes an extra touch and the slanted hem makes it a bit different.Love the boatneck. Worn over a white, beige, pale pink or like color leotard or tight shell, it's the perfect piece.

It took CyberMonday for me to get this outfit and the first thing I did was compare it to Saige's tunic set that was released this year. Both tunics are made of the same fabric, or close to it. The cut of this older outfit is much, much more generous, all around. The Embroidery is far superior and the cuffs and neckline have some fringe/serging to give it more detail. Kind of sad as one can clearly see the corners (and material) cut from when this outfit was made to 2014, when Saige comes out with a tunic. Tunics were worn a lot in the 70s and still are around these days, still worn by many of us who wore them in the 70s. Still, the Sparkley tunic that AG made for MyAG line is superior in my opinion because of the fabric used in that as opposed to plain old cotton. I think tunics need the flow of that gauzy fabric to give it that comfy look. I know I would not have bought one made of this stiffer material
But it looks great. For Julie, it's a must piece, IMO, as she wears it quite a bit in her stories. It looks terrific with jeans, no reason not to have this versatile top. A lot of other dolls can wear it and look terrific too. I don't have a Julie and I have a number of candidates for this.
The gaucho pants, well,..I don't like them personally, never wore them in the 70s or ever, nor did anyone I personally know wear them that I remember. But they were around and worn then, and part of the Julie story. I guess I'll give them to my 60s girl. Don't see these often these days, though anything goes today. The pants are well made and a lovely, deep plum color, so would go well with most anything, colorwise.
The boots are terrific. They can be worn fashionably today as well as in the 70s. Love those boots and at the prices AG charge for boots, these are a steal getting full outfit for just a bit more.
I give the outfit a C as it just isn't all that attractive all together and there are surely better looking pieces for AG to have found from the 70s, but the qulaity is there in the embroidery and cut Could have done better with a gauzy fabric. The gaucho pants, though nice, are not something 10 year olds wore very often back then. I know, I was there. The boots are an A+.

I finally bit the bullet and completed Ivy's massive collection by buying the romper, now that it's on sale at $14. My Ivy is a modern girl and refuses to wear it, though I can tell it would look cute on her. This outfit really looks nice on many dolls, but it's really, really 60s or 70s in style. I had one very similar to it that was so comfortable, when I was young teen or so. Enen with a multicolor built in "belt". But it's just not a piece one would see on young girls today, except at a beach or pool. So this is an outfit that, yes, can be worn today and not be out of place, but generally isn't seen. Not so cool and stylish.
So my Skipper AG, #17 will get this outfit and she will be happily fashionable in it. Looks terrific on her. The red bandana is, of course, classic and the orange flip flops as well. That's what we all wore those days.
I give this outfit an "A" in authenticity as an outfit worn often in the 70s. It also looks great on the dolls. But it hasn't done well at all, because it doesn't fit well with today's outfits. This is something that happens with a number of Julie outfits, I've noticed.

I like the set, but found it expensive for what it contained. An extra water bottle and another piece of something so that it could be for two, would have made me feel it was almost worth the price. I bought it to support AG accessories for the dolls which seem to be dwindling and also because I love the food sets and baskets. I have the Fiesta Set for the MyAGs and it can work well with that, I think. I also did not want to regret not getting this LE item.
Actually if you found a basket somewhere similar in size and had the Fiesta set, with a few home made napkins, you would be in good shape for a similar set up for far less. I kind of wish I'd done that. I give this set a C, solid.

I passed on this dress when Kanani was the GOTY and again when it was on sale. Should have gotten it them. Decided I wanted it for Lindsey or Mirielle Grayson for Hanukkah this year (Lindsey gets it) when I was able to grab it on Ebay for a price in between full market when it was new and sale price. It was NIB .
Right now I'm trying to let the wrinkles shake out It 's not as bright or as deep of a color as I had anticipated, and I did not notice the island theme in the subtle print in the skirt of the dress. I didn't get because it appeared "flat" to me, very 2 dimensional, and the effect is definitely that. I give it a C because it is so average. Had the color been a bit deeper, if it didn't have such a flat effect and if the skirt were a little fuller, I'd have given it a full grade higher.
It was a leftover from Kanani's stock, and I can see why. My niece who has Kanani and got the year she was released, did not want the dress. It just didn't excite her, in part because Kanani's meet outfit and PJs were already that color, and because the dress just didn't have the wow factor for her. The same goes for me.

This 2013 release of winter PJs includes a faded blue tunic top with darker blue lace trim, and dark blue with white polar bears print leggings. The knit blue slippers have a white fur cuff to them. Two fuzzy pony tail bands and a charm also come with this outfit for $24.
The idea of wearing leggings as PJ bottoms gives me chilblains as I prefer loose nightwear, but these PJs are so cute, are a fresh new color in the last few years and are flattering in style on nearly any doll. The neckline comes right to the point that reduces neck gap issues. The top is cute enough to be worn as a day tunic, IMO, and I might just be doing that with my dolls. Would go well with jeans or the blue pants in the new mix and match set. My favorite of the new night wear. I give it an A though I would have preferred flannel loose pants to the legging style.

I bought this because it fits with a doll character I am putting together. . It is a fresh, bright looking bed with some old fashioned charm, yet would work with modern dolls.
However, I probably should have gotten Kit's bed instead. Checking the measurements, it's 8 1/2 x10 x 21 1/4 vs the 9 x 10 1/2 x20 that Kit's bed is. That extra half inch in height and width I think gives Kit's bed a more balanced look. This is just feels a bit low to the ground and narrow. On top of that Kit has a trundle feature that this does not have for the same price, plus a throw pillow. I don't know if I would have gotten this right now had it not been part of Molly's archival, and am still mulling about exchanging it for Kit's.
I don't know if Kit's bed had to be assembled; this one does need to be put together. Did not take me long, but I;ve done years of Ikea type of assembly.

This dress is gorgeous on my MG too. I heartily recommend to anyone looking for something like this for their 18 inch dolls. I think the dress looks far better on those dolls than for the Bittys that it is intended. I think Saige's turquoise eyes would just sparkle with this dress, and it really enhances MG's aquamarine ones. That was her holiday dress last year. It was pretty enough to be used for special occaisions, IMO. This dress has shown up on sale a number of times already, and I'll bet it does again, so it's likely to be obtainable at a bargain price. I give it a full 10, given the value for the price.

Best accessories of any of the GOTYs and maybe any of the dolls AG released. A+ and worth every cent as long as you have a doll with AG type pierced ears.

I chose not to get Saige, but I wanted the meet outfit. It did not disappoint. This is probably my favorite of all of the GOTY outfits. The style and color of the dress, the wonderful detailing and color of the boots as well as the style give it a big A+ from me.

One of the best outfits AG has put together for a GOTY. The sweater is just perfect for an artsy, southwestern girl, and it looks very much like similar wear I've seen in boutiques this year. It feels so soft. Not my style to wear, but I'd love something that feels that way and is my style and size. I'm not surprised that AG has just come out with a girl version of it. Want to add that with my Casey wearing this outfit now, one thing that I think it could use is one snap so that it can look a little better when worn closed, as it flops loosely, when one tries to have a doll wear it that way. Ample fabric to close it, it just won't stay in place.
The leggings are well made and of a substantial material. Wish they weren't so skin tight, but they do work with the outfit. I'm glad that they are ankle length too. And I am thrilled that sandals were included, and I do love the style of them. I think flats could have just as easily been used, and that they were not make the outfit worth the premium price ($34) charged.
I wasn't as crazy about the shirt. But I'm glad one was included. A little old ladyish, IMO but maybe that is what the kids are wearing. I wouldn't know. But that is a piece that I would have in my wardrobe and not what I see my niece wearing. Makes for a nice mix and match with the Coconut Fun outfit and adds a bit of pizazz to any other leggings or pants that are matched with it, and one can get white shells and tees anywhere, so it's just fine. Just a bit puzzling to me and not what I would have chosen for the outfit.
An A for this outfit.

I can't believe I bought this dress, as my first impression of it was not good at all. I could not believe that AG was even contemplating it. I first saw it as a sneak peek from a gray market site, and I would have bet money that it wasn't going to be a an AG piece.
And now I've bought the danged thing.
The dress can look very pretty if positioned properly on a doll, but it does expose what I feel are the weak parts of AG doll construction. With the wrinkles carefully smoothed out, and a doll decked out for a party, it looks very nice. The bright pink is so nice with so many dolls. I don't have a Saige, but all of the dolls seem to be great candidateds for the dress. With a stole, or short jacket, it makes a luscious special occasion dress. I felt I had to get it as a reflection of what's hot with the young girls in 2013 because this dress is selling well. That it's lines is nice and though I don't like the way the darker sash sits, not on the waist line, it can look very nice on a doll. But if it's not on smooth and set just right, it really looks terrible. It's a dress that has to be positioned just right to look good.
The boots. Not my style, but a change from those pumps, I guess. I 'm giving them to my niece who will be thrilled to have them. Not the style of any of my dolls. The necklace is very nice, and I like it a lot but not with the dress. I'll get a sparkly gold or clear glass necklace that I think will look a lot better than this plain silver piece, but I'm glad to get have it.
I thought $30 was a little high for this price wise, and I would not have bought it had it been in the MyAG line at this price, but waited for it to go on sale. Being a GOTY item, I didn't think the odds were good I'd get it this way, so I coughed up the full price on it.
I give the dress a B. Not my personal taste, don't like the boots, necklace is not so great but a nice piece to have, the dress is not that great on its own merits, but it is something very different and I like that AG does go that way and also, the ones who count, the little girls seem to like it just fine.

This could have been a much nicer outfit, IMO. The tunic top fabric should have been what was used in the Sparkly Tunic or Caroline's birthday dress. I would not want a top of this design in this fabric, nor have I seen any. That the embroidery is stitched is a plus, unlike the transfers used on Caroline's dress. But the use of this fabric gives the tunic a flat look. A bit skimpy on the fabric too.
The belt should have been one that could be taken off Ok, stitch it on for the younger kids at key points but make it easy to snip off for those who want a loose belt. You're stuck the way it's sewed on. Tan or brown would lhave looked better. The bright white detracts from the style IMO.
The jeans are very nice. I just wish they'd been real stonewashed looking jeans or of another color since AG already has the white and off white store specials that I own and I think they look better with this tunic than these jeans, but still these are nicely made with pretty stitcing. I'll find plenty of use for them. The shoes--well, I wish AG had gone with sandals instead. Enough of those plain pumps. The moccasins that AG sells separately would have really been nice, but why do that when they can get $14 for them alone? AG is becoming too like OG with the shoes they are including with the outfits. I have so many of those flat pumps now. Is that really what little girls are wearing? I'd have loved a pair of more realistic ballet flats that I see women/girls wearing, not these things that I'm just throwing in a drawer.
I give the outfit a B-/C. It could have been so much nicer.
I've downgraded this tunic to a C-/D, and only so high because the of the jeans which are nice. I just bought Julie's outfit with the orange tunic, and, oh, to see how AG has become skimpier is so sad. Julie's is the same fabric, and I still say the gauzier material is a lot better for this style, but the cut is fuller all around. extra fabric at the collar instead of just serged, extra serging with a accent fringe at the collar and sleeves. Much fuller around the waist, longer and big full sleeves. Embroiders superior. I'm glad AG used real embroidery for this top, but since they did, they could have at least made it look more real. I had to look at it closely to ascertain it. I would have guess upon first glance that this was just applique. The belt has to go, I've decided, and AG has made it a difficult propositions to do so. Can't even snip it off whole as it's stitched extra securely in a number of spots.
The tunic is overstocked, and has been reduced in price, by the way at the tail end of GOTY13 season. I guess it did not take off.

I would think AG could have come up with a different name for this outfit, given it's already been used. But that's about the only thing I have to say that isn't wildly positive about this new AG release.
I though about just piecing a similar outfit together, but the instant I saw it, I wanted it all. And the "all" is a lot. For the $28 you get a pear of well made twill pink short with pockets and belt loops, and cuff, a pair of nice quality gray leggings, and a navy blue long sleeve tee that fits the doll just perfectly, even getting that neck/body transition to perfection , a nice plastic head band in a pink plaid with teeth that actually is easy to use and stays on the doll holding her hair back nicely, and a pair of navy blue simple pumps/ballet type shoes. Nothing really special, but it all works together, quality is good and it looks great on the doll. Oh, there is a charm as well, as always with the clothes.
I give this an A+. Worth every bit of the price to me. Lots of mix and match, but best of all it all looks so good on the doll. One of the few pieces I'm buying at full price.

I don't have a Bitty Baby and my Bitty Twin is an old fashioned girl, so this was purchased for my 18 inch dolls. This is the second year I've purchased a Bitty holiday dress for the 18 inchers. I guess AG did learn from the major fail of the burgundy Snowflake dress that did not sell anywhere near to expectation for the Bitty Baby. Like that dress, which is a favorite of mine for the 18 inch dolls, this one just didn't do well for Bitty again! There were tons of this left at AG Place and it's been lingering on final sale on the website at rock bottom prices.
I bought the dress at the NYC AG Place during the post holiday sale when I was really hoping to snag one of the 18 inch holiday dresses which were sold out there. I really wanted the red dress, but, this was Bitty version of the purple was all that was left, but lots of them. So I bought one, and have to say, I was delighted as to how it looked on my younger aged dolls, and then Ruthie Grace (MG with a Ruthie wig) tried it on, and it was just perfect for her. A little short waisted but then it's not made for the 18 inch dolls. I think the bow is a little funky and too big. I may snip and resew it on so it lies straight. The up and down tie just doesn't do it for me. And the skirt is a smidgeon short and a bit too full to be perfect, but it works and looks cute, and at this price, I won't complain, just making note. The head band fits well enough and the tights were a bonus. Shoes..ok, nothing to write about. Black would have been better, but AG did the same purple with the 18 inch version too.
I give this a 6 for a holiday dress for the 18 inch dolls due to fit, but it does look cuter than the purple version for the big dolls for some of the dolls. And for the discounted price it gets a full 10. So I'm rating it as an 18 inch doll's $34 holiday outfit. Would't buy it at that price or at the full Bitty price even, but at 25% off which is what I paid, I'm good. For some great comparison photos of this next to the Big Doll version, check out nevergrowupdollguideblogspot.com which did a great write up on both dresses. The 18 inch dress is not much shorter than this dress, by the way, in fact nearly the same, but the fit and the flow of that dress is very much calibrated for the 18 inch dolls and it is more of a tailored look.
For a Bitty Baby, I say this dress is a fail despite the trend for some of these darker holiday dresses for babies, and the market agrees with me. It didn't sell. Nor did the dark dress last year. Hopefully AG is getting the message But this meant a bargain for those of us with the 18 inch dolls, as both last year and this year's holiday Bitty dresses work well for the bigger dolls and the price points are so much better.

This was the dress I didn't so much want of the two 2012 releases, and I only bought it because it went on sale as well as the velvet jacket so it made for a nicely priced outfit. I am glad that I did. I'd already bought the companion Bitty outfit that worked well for my younger aged 18 inch dolls, so I nearly let this outfit pass.
The dress is classic, and at first look nothing that special. Upon having it in hand, I'll say it's well made, but not spectacularly so. Fabric and fit good, but nothing awe inspiring. But as mentioned, it is a change from the red, and it is very much a holiday, fancy dress. It fits the dolls well, the hem line is perfect on it IMO and it's exactly what it should be. It's better made, IMO than the Bitty counterpart and the bow is a much better size and the waist line works a lot better. On sale it is a good deal. Full price, I would not have bought it having seen it and I so chose not to spend that much on it upon first seeing it. Works very well with the velvet jacket, and I do like the headband a lot. Still a little tricky to get it to stay on, but much better than the Rosy Red head band that was just about impossible to place so it looked nice and stayed put. The shoes, I did not like at all. The purple was just not realistic to me. Reminded me of OG shoes which I despise, though the quality is much better. Did not match the dress well; maybe if it were darker, I would have liked it. Black patent leather look with purple or jewel garnish would have been much preferable.
I give it a 6-7.

I wanted this dress over the purple one that was released with it for Holiday Season 2012, but thought it was just too pricey. So I looked for it at the NYC store during their post Holiday sale. Both holiday dresses were sold out, and so I just bought the Bitty version of the purple one at 25% off. But I hoped it would surface in some sale in the next year.
And it did. I picked up this dress at the MCM sale at $20 which was a great price for it. But unlike the prior year's Merry & Bright red dress, that I thought was beautifully made and just plain scrumptious, this one was a disappointment.
I knew up front that it was a dress more for the "older" group of my dolls as it is more sophisticated than a lot of dresses and holiday fare and wear, but if really seems too old even for my older dolls. Maybe if the length were not so long and the skirt a bit fuller, it would have a fresher airier look to it that the shoulders and accent rose does lend. Instead, I feel like it's got a stodgy feel to it.
The color is lovely. Give that a 10 and the asymmetrical sleeve is something that is very 2012, another plus. But the whole look left me not thrilled with this dress. Merry and Bright is a 10, this is really more a 5-6. The whole effect just doesn't make me say, "gorgeous". I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this; I would have been glad to have done so with the 2011 red dress.
The head band does not stay on the doll's hair well at all. If I can't get on there right, I don't think little girls are going to have a lot of luck with it. Shame on quality control at AG for not catching this. Especially at the price point of this outfit. The shoes are cute. The little flower does add a nice touch.
Since all the good stuff about this dress is the top around the sleeves and neck, when the holiday jacket or any other cover up is worn, the dress is really very plain other than that lovely color. Downright dowdy when the flower and straps are covered up.
So for $20, I'm glad I got it. Full price, I would have been a bit perturbed.

I bought this outfit as soon as it came out for my 18 inch dolls, and I love it on any number of them. YOu would not know it's made for a Bitty, it fits so well, right down to the sandals. I particularly like that the tee shirt has the slightly puffed sleeves and more defined neck than simple tees do. I'm surprised I like the print on the dress as I don't generally like fruit prints. but I highly recommend this outfit for Bitty Twin and 18 inch dolls alike. For the bigger dolls the price is a bargain given what a similar outfit would cost for them.

I don't like the cut of the top of this outfit. It shows the most unflattering parts of the AG doll, namely the vinyl to cloth transition, not just in at the neck line but around the arms too, not to mention the back with drawstring so exposed. But it's just so darned cute, that I have to give it a thumbs up. It's one of the few full priced outfits I picked up for the dolls in this release, and I'm glad that I did. It was difficult to decide who got to wear it this summer as it looks good on most all of the dolls. The shorts are very well made with more detailing like real pockets and fly front and waistband than it needs to have with the long top that covers most of it. But great for mix and match. ti's a very nice piece and the top is just adorable. The plaid and floral print work so well together and is representative of a lot of clothes on the market for girls this year. I suggest putting the top on the doll first, starting at the feet since the shorts are bulky with all of the detail it has.
Pricey, yes, but hard to find anything that hits the mark as well for these dolls.

She wasnt' on my list, but now that I have her, she is a beauty, and I want to keep her. As close to a mini me as the MyAG line has. This doll can be any number of nationalities.
I found one with thick hair, and the sweetest face, wonderful coloring, so she is way up there in terms of being a gorgeous doll, but is a little older looking than some of them with that hair, and if one isn't careful in picking one with a sweet expression, I think that straight dark hair can give her a harsher look than some of the dolls. I have hair like that and as a result am not crazy about it. Wore it that way too, when I was young. I also prefer to put her clothes that do emphasize prettiness rather than the plainer lines.
I'm glad I have her, but I give her a 7-8 overall. But I do prefer her straight even hair to the ones with straight layered hair. This is one of the MyAGs that I would recommend one hand picks.

Didn't intend to get this doll. Got the last one at the MCM sale practically snatched out of my hand before I could get hold of her box by a reseller, but it was going to be for an auction donation anyways. But then I asked for the display doll there, and the volunteer found a box and gave her to me. Then I found another one that was returned from the check out, so I got two of them.
55 is a beauty. The dark tortoiseshell hazel eyes are very different from the light green that seems to be the hazel that my Rebecca and other hazel eyed dolls have. Her hair is magnificent. She's one of the standouts in the MyAG line, IMO and I give her a 10.

The beautiful photos on this thread made me ever so curious about this doll. I bought her at the MCM sale to donate to an auction, but I wanted to check her out as well. I had taken a lot of time to pick this doll, and she was perfect in terms of nice wig, good facial coloring, eyes that were level and matched, no neck gap.
Sorry to say, she just didn't do anything for me. The layered hair bothered me and if I handled her could fall in an unattractive shaggy way IMO and also I guess I didn't do a great job picking a doll with that right expression. Perfect as she is, she just didn't have the spark that any of the other dolls did. Which is good because I can easily donate her.
I find that the straight layered hair just makes her face look too severe. The 25 I got as well, sort of has that issue, but I managed to find one with a little extra sweetness in expression which makes a difference and I just don't like layered straight hair.
I thought she looked very nice in Julie's 2011 Spring/summer mini skirt with the peasant. Probably the best of all of my dolls. But she is not a keeper for me. There were quite a few of these dolls left on Sunday of the MCM sale, so there must have be a lot of overstock of her. She was one of the few light haired, light complexioned dolls left for the second day of the sale.

I was intrigued with this doll when she was first released, but did not care much for her when I saw her in person at the store in the displays and in her box. But my niece is beginning to look more and more like her, and when I saw her without her usual tan and now growing out her bangs, I realized that is now her mini me, rather than the #28 I got her 4 years ago. So when I went to the MCM sale, I decided to get one of these dolls as a memento of how she looks at age 10.
I picked through quite a few of these dolls, and there were quite a few left on Sunday of the sale, so my guess is that AG has had an overstock of these dolls. I wanted one with a heavy piece of the sideswept bangs, as there were a lot of these doll with hardly any bangs at all.
I don't know if I will give her up. I pulled back some of her longer hair on the side that has the sideswept bangs and stuck a barrette to keep the hair back there, emphasizing these bangs rather than blending them in with the rest of her hair, and she has a whole other look than any of the other AG dolls. She is adorable. I have to give this cutie a 10 out of 10 in cuteness, a new look and just looking like a sweet little girl. I put her in the Easy Breezy outfit which suits her . She'll be one of my younger aged dolls. I think a lot of Kit and Molly dresses are going to look so precious on her.

I picked up my not-Sonali at the MCM sale, knowing that both 46 and 47 have wigs I don't like. I was going for the face I liked the best out of the two doll lines there, and disregarded the wig, hair completely with plans to rewig her with a RRG black brown long wavy wig I have. I'd gotten a Sonali mold doll without hair whose face was not one I liked with eyes too close together, something that crops up often in that mold.
Well, I got my beauty, and though her hair is on the thin side, and yes,it super straight and cut in layers so that the short pieces stick out in many styles, including a simple single pony tail, she really looks good in it,and I wish I'd given the wig a little more attention and gotten a thicker one. I'm actually loathe to scalp her because she looks so darned cute.
I actually got three of them, and the board member for whom I shopped, seems to have also "lost" her rewigging candidate as her daughter has scooped this beautiful doll up as is too. The third one is also just as gorgeous in the face, and has a similar wig--she's being donated in the fall to a charity function.
What can I say? I deliberately ignored the wig, so it's thin. I don't like the layers and the super straightness of her hair but she looks fantastic, adorable, etc just the way she is. Also, she brings s whole fresh new look to my collection. Yes, the actual GOTY friend, Sonali, has a terrific wig, one of my favorites, but then I do have other dolls with the same style whereas this wig that 47 sports is one of a kind in my collection and, yes, she is just absolutely a cutie and I don't think rewigging her is going to improve the way she looks.
I give this doll a 9 out of 10, and only because of the thin wig that I deliberately did not check out when choosing her when I could have. If she had thicker hair, I'd give her the full 10 even though the hair style is not one I like, because clearly it suits her. Also, the darker skin tone over the medium version that AG offers in the dolls without hair line, is much prettier on this doll. She and Cécile are stunners in my collection.
I want to add that her cloth body is very much NOT a peachy or orangey color at all. It 's a beige that is identical to a medium complexioned doll I have, and it's really a bit too light for her, but I prefer it to the orange shade.

I bought this recently after Molly's archival notice because I was eyeing the outfit as sundress for Marisol, and I didn't want to be hunting it down on Ebay. To me, it was no bargain because though it has a lot of things that come with it, I had no interest in the towel or the beach ball.
I was pleasantly surprised with it, despite what I felt was a high price. Yes, the neck, shoulder and back does expose more than what is attractive on these AG dolls, the necklace does provide enough distraction. Throw the towel over the shoulder, and it looks mighty good as a sundress. I don't think my niece's Kanani is going to want to give this outfit up. She really looks good in it.
I think the peach color looks particularly nice on the medium complexioned dolls.

I only bought this because it was on sale and was a little sorry I did, the minute I pushed the "done" button. But now that I have the item in hand, I'm feeling better about it . It is a cute outfit. The jeans are very well made and look real. The sweater--well, I could have done without the embroidered Sugar, but it's cute. And the bonus for me were the shoes and head band that match the Party Plaid dress that I have in ind to use. Perfect colors and the flats have a cute bow on the back of them.
That it's June is partly what's affecting how I feel about the sweater too, I'm sure. It looks like a substantial, warm cozy piece to wear, come winter, and I'll see how I feel about it then.

I got pulled into the buying mode by the AG sale which is why I bought these PJS. My dolls really did not need these and they do not serve dual play clothes purposes that a lot of the AG PJs do, so I was feeling a bit of buyer's remorse with these. But the cupcake slippers made it all good. I have a pair of those myself and the doll's are true miniature of them. Soooo cute.
The top is embroidered rather than being a screen print which shocked me. Wish AG took that kind of care with some of the day wear outfits. Would't have minded these PJs being screen painted. The sale wasn't that incredible on this, but took a little edge off the cost which was sweet too.
