I put this outfit on my Caroline doll, and she's not especially beefy or anything.
Overall: It seems like it would be easy enough for the colors in this outfit to match, since it's mostly white. But the sweater and leggings are a much dingier shade of white than the very bright white on the cuffs of the boots. Do not like!
Sweater: Pretty, I like the sparkly fabric and that the sleeves are a good length since many AG sweaters seem to have sleeves that are a little too short. I also like that the sweater is a reasonable length. Wouldn't mind it being a little longer, but a lot of AG shirts are really short, so I appreciate that this one isn't. I do not like how tight the sweater is. It looks uncomfortable! The fibers are taut enough that you can see the doll's body fabric through it. Not so bad that it's hard to velcro shut, but still, it could definitely stand to be less tight.
Skirt: Oh, this is SO tight! Even as an adult, I had a hard time shimmying it up over the leggings. I think a kid would find it very difficult. It's also shorter than I would prefer. That aside, it's nice and plush and soft.
Leggings: Again, really tight. Could be a bit thicker. I do like that they're full length and not capris, though.
Boots: I think these would look better with the rest of the outfit if they were white. They are also VERY tight! It took a lot of wrestling to get the boots on my doll, and when I finally did get them on, one of them doesn't even velcro shut all the way. I'll have to be careful to keep her away from fabric when wearing this outfit.
Verdict: My overall impression is that this outfit is very tight! I half worry that my poor doll will develop body image issues because it's so tight. I got this on sale for I think 50% off, but would not keep it if I'd paid full price. It does look pretty cute when it's on, though. For all the reasons noted, this outfit gets a C grade from me.

Let's just jump right in! First of all, the dragon is 7 1/2 inches tall when sitting (measured to the top of the spines), and 10 1/2 inches tall with the legs extended (again, to the top of the spines). It is pale lavender with pink wings and peach spines down the back. The fabric on most of the dragon (head, arms, legs, and back) is plush and very soft and silky feeling. The bottoms of the feet, tail, and belly are made of a very soft, fleecy fabric with a corduroy appearance, the wings and horns are silky and shiny , and the spines on the back are made of a ruffled piece of thick, velvety material. The dragon's claws are made of a kind of flannel-like material that catches on your fingertips easily, like the fabric used on cheap baby dolls' pajamas. The claw material is the only fabric that doesn't feel really high quality, but at the same time, I'm really impressed they actually sewed individual nails and didn't just use triangles of felt. The dragon's eyes and nostrils are embroidered. This makes the dragon look like a baby toy to me, but the tag says it's for children 3 years and older. I'm guessing this is because the dragon has a lot of beans in its butt (it's heavier than it looks!), and those could potentially come out and pose a choking hazard. Front: Side: Face: Spines and Tail: The spines are very thick and soft and stand up nicely on their own. The tail is well stuffed and sticks out behind the dragon even when you pick it up. Nails: Tummy: The tummy is very fat and soft. It's stuffed enough to hold its shape, but is still very huggable. Wings: The wings seem like they will hold their shape well and there's a layer of batting between the layers of fabric. They stay in place well and don't flop around. A child could certainly make the dragon "fly" and flap her wings, but they should go back to laying flush against the body afterwards. Specific details aside, this is a very well made plush. Mine looks exactly like the one in the stock photo. I'm really picky about stuffed animals, and this one is perfect. It looks like it stepped (flew?) out of an American Girl photo shoot. The limbs are all the same size and length, nothing's twisted weirdly or sewn on at an angle, and the materials used are all very high quality (with the possible exception of the claws, as I described earlier). I have not washed the dragon and it hasn't really been played with, but it really seems like it would hold up to a lot of loving! The possible exception is the wings, as the material may snag easily. I also think the dragon is incredibly cute and very unique! The list price for these plush is $30. Before I bought this dragon, I felt the price was a bit steep, and got mine for $12 on sale. It is well worth $12, and I would actually say it IS worth $30 if you compare it to similar plush. Similar types of stuffed animals are made by the company Jellycat, and a plush of this size would list at about $35. I own several Jellycats and have given many as gifts, so have a lot of experience with them and they are known for making good quality plush. They even make a dragon, which I have seen in person. This dragon is much nicer than any Jellycat I've seen (both in quality of materials and quality of construction), and is definitely nicer than Jellycat's Dylan Dragon. The Bitty Baby dragon is a bit shorter, but fatter, so I think the comparison is fair. I should note that I'm not sure the other Bitty plush are worth $30. The dragon is the only one I've seen so far, but it has a lot of extra pieces and detail that the other plush do not have (tail, wings, spines, multiple types of fabric used, etc). My overall grade for the dragon is an A. The only thing keeping it from being an A+ is that I feel the design would have been improved if they had used normal plush eyes instead of embroidered eyes. As I mentioned before, the embroidered eyes make this look like a baby toy. That would be just dandy if this was sold as a toy for babies, but it specifically says on the tag that it isn't for children under 3 years of age. I feel like this plush would appeal to a broader range of people if it didn't look like a baby toy. A 3 year old or 5 year old probably won't mind the embroidered eyes, but a stuffed animal loving 10 year old who would otherwise want the dragon may not want it if they think it looks like it's for babies. Even as a doll collecting adult who also has a large collection of stuffed animals, the fact that this looks like a baby toy makes me disinclined to keep it for myself, just because it feels weird to me. As cute as it is and as much as I love it, I will probably hold onto it for a couple of years in the hope that I will have a baby to give it to, or I will give it away as a gift to a special little kid in my life.

First of all, sorry about my awful photos! At least Pru is pretty in them, right? I got this outfit for Christmas and have mixed feelings about it. It's VERY pretty and I'm glad I received it, but there are a few disappointing things about it. This set has so many pieces, I'll just give my thoughts on each one! Cape: Beautiful. Nice fabric. I love it! the snowflake embroidery is so pretty and the brooch is gorgeous, love that shade of blue. It would have been nice if they'd used a snap to secure the brooch instead of velcro because you can see the square of velcro behind it. Gloves: Pretty nice, my first pair of doll gloves. I like the silver fabric. One of the gloves went on Pru's hand really easily, the other required a little tugging, but not too big of a deal. They're pretty cute and help make this outfit look super fancy. Belt: Blah. I put it on Pru, then took it right off because I didn't like how it looked. It's very tight and squishes the bodice of the dress too much. Wish they'd done a necklace or something instead of the goofy belt. That said, the construction of the belt is fine. It's pretty stiff. I thought it was just going to be a piece of ribbon with velcro on it. Tiara: Very pretty! Again, love the shade of blue of the stones. A tiara is such a nice touch for this outfit. It's kind of tough to make it look nice on a doll with a side part, but I think it looks nice when arranged properly. Dress: Pretty, of course. I'm not usually into sequins, but like the sequins on this dress. The dots on the skirt are nice as well, and the fabric the skirt is made of seems fine. I wish the blue was a shade that matched the blue of the stones in the brooch and tiara better. Also, rather annoyingly, the skirt of my dress came out of the box with wrinkles and I'm not sure how to fix it, don't want to melt the fabric! The underskirt is a nice touch, but I think I'd actually prefer the dress without because it makes the overskirt pooch out kind of awkwardly at the waist. As for the bodice, I wish it wasn't just a straight across line between the sequined fabric and mesh fabric, and that there was a sleeve of some sort or ribbon around the edge of the sleeve holes/neckline or something. The seam between the sequin fabric and the mesh fabric also sticks out rather awkwardly. The dress definitely looks better with the cape on top! Shoes: Oh, the shoes. Sad times for me. They're very pretty, but one of mine is defective. It was cut improperly so the doll's toes show. I'm fairly displeased about this since the outfit was so expensive. I own many pairs of doll shoes and this is the only pair with this problem, figures it's from the most expensive doll outfit I own! My overall grade for this outfit is a B. The shoes are a big issue for me, and the weird things about the dress bug me, especially considering the price. I do like this outfit regardless and am glad I have it!

These jammies are so, so cute and unique! Thumbprint reindeer, how adorable. I do kind of question whose thumbprints they're supposed to be since they're much to big to be a doll's and much too small to be a person's, but that's beside the point. I like pretty much everything about these pajamas. The fabrics are nice quality, as is the iron-on on the shirt. The detail of one of the reindeer having a pink nose is very cute. In my opinion, the shirt could also double as a regular shirt to wear with pants. It's nice that AG chose to make a long sleeved shirt and full length pants, since lately I don't think any of their pajamas have been like this- not even the coconut PJs, which are also decidedly wintry. My slippers fit on the doll's feet perfectly and the fabric is very nice, very fuzzy and not terry cloth. The slippers with the Honey Puppy PJs are terry cloth and they've looked kind of ratty from the start.
I have two minor complaints: First, the shirt is quite tight on my Mattel doll, to the point that the velcro in the back is strained and the fabric at the bottom of the shirt flares out. My shirt is also cut oddly in that the velcro does not run up the exact center of the shirt, it's noticeably off to one side. Definitely would be better if the shirt had a tiny bit more material. Second, I really wish the slippers were not pink. Of the 4 or 5 pairs of modern pajamas I own that came with slippers, all but one are the same shade of pink! Please pick a different color next time, it's getting old!

I purchased this outfit at the original price from a very kind board member, even though I've never really liked it. Something about the intensity of the blue always seemed mismatched with the style, like the shade of blue belongs on a mail box or something instead.
After receiving it, I liked it even less. The fabric of the dress isn't my favorite and it fits too loosely, but what really gets me is the incredibly icky, plasticky lace! I really do not like that lace. Some nice lace would have drastically improved the look of the outfit. The style itself is very nice. If they'd used a slightly different color fabric and different lace, my opinion would be much higher. As is, I think this is a pretty cheap looking and feeling AG outfit. However, I originally purchased it and have kept it because it's important to me that she have her Christmas dress, both because all of my other dolls have special Christmas outfits and because this outfit is important to her stories.
My overall grade for this outfit is a C based on the reasons I gave above.

Let me first say that I LOVE this outfit! It has zoomed straight to the top of my list of favorite AG doll outfits. This is probably in part because I simply love Christmas, but the outfit itself is very well made and so cute. I won't re-hash everything that's been said before, but would like to mention a couple of things: Fit: The dress, boots, hat, and scarf all fit perfectly. Everything is easy to get on. I was afraid the hat may be too tight, but it's actually just right. It fits fairly snugly on Pru's head, but in a good way, and I'm not afraid about it falling off. Quality: It all seems top notch to me. I purchased this outfit used on eBay, and presumably a child played with it before. It looks great, though. The fabric and construction all seem to be quite nice. Look: As mentioned, I think this is incredibly, excruciatingly adorable. I seriously love everything about it, from the plaid flannel scarf to the embroidery on the skirt. The boots are pretty awesome, too. Below you can see the lovely Pru modeling the outfit in its entirety: Some people think this outfit looks too mature for a little girl. I am pretty conservative when it comes to clothing, and I think the only thing that makes it a little iffy are the boots. they're so tall! I wanted to experiment with making the outfit look a little younger, and figured thick white tights were a good place to start. Here's the outfit with the tights and the black flats from the 2011 Spooky Fun Outfit. The shoes are not the best match for the outfit since they're rubbery, but they were the first black shoes I grabbed and it was just for this photo. Fancier black shoes would be better. Here's the outfit with the white tights and Addy's meet boots. I chose these boots because I liked the idea of black boots with the outfit, but wanted some that look less grown up. Although I like the outfit with the black flats, I think these boots are the winner! And just for fun, Prue and the resident Christmas Moose wish you a very happy holiday season!

This dress is so pretty, I bought it even though I don't have Emily. It's for my #40, who is modern. I was lucky enough to pick mine out in person so rifled (carefully) through several boxes before finding one with perfect ruffles, perfect flowers, and the perfect bow. No issue with a short ribbon on mine and the necklace length is fine. The material that the dress is made from does not bother me at all. I really like this one and would buy it again!
Edit: Oh and I don't have Emily's black meet shoes, but I purchased Ivy's Chinese New Year outfit at the same time and the shoes from that are adorable with this. They're little black velvety mary janes.

I think these jammies are really cute. Admittedly I have a weakness for doll pajamas and own a lot of them, but these are just sweet. The vintage looking fabric, the ruffled sleeves, the little ruffly pockets, the blue slippers... I purchased these for my #40 rather than Molly (even though I have Molly) and she's been wearing them for about 2 weeks just because they look so comfortable and cute. Nice to see lightweight pajamas with long pants! They are also nicely made and fit the doll well. Only slight issue is that the print of the fabric of the shoulders on many of the shirts seems to be sightly crooked, but that's pretty minor. They get an A from me and I would wear them if they came in my size.

My #40 is named Prue, short for Prudence, and I've only had her for a few days, but I think she is a great doll.
Hair: Her wig is very nice. Good thickness, silky hair, and really cute. I thought the length might be slightly awkward but it really isn't. It's just long enough to put in a little ponytail without looking silly and you can do more with it than you might expect just by looking at it. Prue's hair is definitely a very dark brown and you can see shimmery brown highlights when you look at it in bright light. The cut of my doll's hair is slightly odd- when it's all behind her shoulders, it slants down from right to left- but still looks pretty good. I thought it might be because of the side part since #26's hair is like that, but my mother has a #40 as well and her hair slants in the opposite direction! So I think it may have just been a sloppy cut job. Lucky for me (and rather surprisingly), it doesn't really bug me. Both of our dolls have sewn parts. Prue has plenty of short hairs on her wig cap so I can separate the hair into pigtails and have it look great. So far the hair on this doll is really easy to keep looking nice since it's short and doesn't have any curls! Oh and I've noticed some rather substantial differences in hair length from doll to doll. Prue's hair is barely past the shoulder, but I've seen some #40s that I thought were #30 because the hair is so long!
Eyes: Pretty brown eyes, not much to say. This mold is prone to having the left eye smaller than the right. Of the four #40s I have seen in person, Prue is the only one with even eyes. My mom didn't notice her #40 has one eye smaller than the other so I didn't point it out! The eye thing may or may not bother you. If it does, it wouldn't hurt to pick your doll out in person. Her eyebrows are feathered.
Facial Coloring: Prue's coloring is lovely. She has a nice rosiness to her cheeks and nice coral lips, but it doesn't look like she's wearing makeup.
I think that's pretty much all to say. This is a very sweet, very cute doll that looks younger than some of the other AG dolls and looks good in pretty much any color or outfit because of her brown hair and eyes. She gets an A from me!

I got this bed during the amazing sale and have not set it up yet for a number of reasons, but I did take it out of the box and inspect each piece. It is absolutely beautiful! Very detailed and very well made, seems really sturdy. I love it. The only things I would change would be to make it a little bit higher (the actual bed part, not the canopy thing) and make the blanket a bit more substantial. I get that New Orleans is hot, but the blanket could at least be longer and wider. Minor complaints though, I'm really happy about having received this bed and can't wait to get it set up! It is certainly unique among doll beds and I absolutely feel it is worth the original price. My grade: A.

This doll is very cute and sweet and I adore her. Mine is named Zoe Winter. Normally the laser green eyes don't appeal to me and admittedly she would be very pretty with the new green eyes, but the laser ones look nice on her. The startling eye color does clash a bit with some clothing colors sometimes and she tends to look best in green, but pink, purple, and yellow are nice, also. Her wig is not all that great. I think it's the same as the other revised banged wigs? It's cut in kind of weird layers and I don't really like the giant curl under "fwoop" thing it does. The wig is also pretty thin compared to many AG wigs, BUT I think the thickness is actually pretty realistic if you shrank a child down to her size. The thinness doesn't really bother me and I can style her hair assorted ways without any wig cap showing through. I do like the revised bangs and the texture of the hair is very nice. It isn't super slick like some of the dolls' hair and feels more like real hair to me. Setting aside my own very affectionate feelings towards my Zoe, I would give #19 a B. The wig bugs me! But if you're fine with the revised wig style and want a sweet, "average" (as in not super exotic or breathtakingly gorgeous) doll, you can't go wrong with this cutie.

This outfit doesn't seem to get much love, but I like it! Here is the lovely Zoe modeling it for you: Shirt: The shirt is a bluish turquoise (bluer than the jumper) and has 3/4 length sleeves. The outfit I got has shorter sleeves than in the AG picture, but I actually like that because in the AG picture they look like an awkward length. At the bottom of one sleeve, there's a cluster of printed on flowers, and the bottom of the other sleeve has an American Girl logo. I would prefer flowers on both sleeves or not at all, but that's a teeny tiny complaint. My one issue with the shirt is that it fits weirdly around the armpits. It's like they made the sleeve holes a little too big, if that makes sense. I was worried the jumper wouldn't fit properly over it, but thankfully it's fine. Because of the armpit issue, the shirt may look a little odd when worn without the jumper. Not awful though. I will have to get a picture later! Jumper: The color of the jumper is a pretty and rather unusual dark turquoise. The fabric is like a light corduroy and there are little clumps of 4 embroidered dots every inch. The bottom of the skirt falls right at the knees. No complaints at all with the jumper and I think it could be cute with other shirts. Boots: The color is actually a bit off to me. They're a different shade than the jumper. However, they're reasonably cute anyway. I didn't think I would like them because in the AG picture they look crinkled, but they don't really fit that way. These shoes velcro up the back, but you can get them on your doll without messing with the velcro if she isn't wearing socks or tights. I know this because at first I didn't realize they had velcro Boots fit on fine over thick tights. So overall, yes, I quite like this outfit. The color is really nice and the style is good. Pretty, but not too frilly, and it seems a bit younger than a lot of the outfits AG offers right now, which I consider to be a good thing! It looks like something I may have worn back in the mid 1990s if it had full length sleeves. My one complaint other than the weird fit of the sleeves around the armpits is the lack of tights. The doll's legs look naked without tights! Light blue tights to match the shirt would have been great. I just put some white tights on my doll though and called it good. Oh and a little hair do dad of some sort would have been nice, too. Regardless, I give this a B+. The lack of tights and hair thing for the price combined with the odd fit of the shirt knocked it down a tad for me.

I have this set, it's very cute and fits well. The one thing worth noting is that the scarf is already knotted and it actually velcroes around the doll's neck! So don't buy it thinking you can tie it different ways.

I got this shirt at AG Seattle in July of this year. It's very cute! The purple is pretty and the star is very shiny. It fits pretty nicely, too. Not much more to it than that. I would buy this shirt again. Here it is on Saffy with the skirt from the meet outfit and the Sporty Sandals:

This dress is beautiful! It's only the second MyAG outfit I've purchased in the past 2 years, the currently available outfits just don't appeal to me much. I really like everything about this one though and do not at all think that it looks too young. I would have worn a dress like this at 13 or so. The dress seems high quality to me. Fabric does not feel cheap and the sequins are sewed on well. The underskirt/slip thing is nice and a great addition, it would definitely be way too see through without. It helps the skirt lay nicely as well. I'm not a huge fan of the sash going around the middle- the serged seams are kinda ugly and the sash lays oddly on my doll, but it's not a big problem. The shoes are pretty, fit well, cutely decorated. I do agree they look a bit like slippers though! Still look nice with the dress. The barrette seems high quality. It's metal and stays in the doll's hair fine. It would have been nice if it could hold a bit more hair though. The back of the barrette is pretty long, but only about half that length can actually hold hair and the rest sticks out beyond the barrette which is a bit unsightly. A little odd, but still a cute addition and it looks nice with the rest of the outfit. Overall, I would definitely buy this outfit again!

I SO wish they made this robe in adult sizes! It's the fluffiest, softest robe I've ever felt. Don't even like pink but I'd wear it anyway, and it's adorable on this robe. The white loop decoration goes all the way around the bottom of the robe. Slippers are okay, they almost seem a tad too short and the doll's heel hangs off the back a little more than it should, but that's my only complaint. If you're like me you may balk at spending $50 for doll PJs and a bathrobe, but you really should spring for the set. They're so, so cute together and so cozy for Emily or modern dolls!

These PJs are darling, definitely one of the cutest things AG makes, and very well made to boot. I don't have Emily, but the PJs are great for modern dolls as well! I love that they button up instead of use Velcro, and the lace is adorable. Usually I think lace looks tacky. My buttons show no signs of wanting to fall off. If you have Emily or a modern doll, you should get these jammies!

This dress is so, so cute! Even cuter in person. I was under the impression that the fabric of the main part of the dress was dark blue, but it's actually a very pretty purple. Right up my alley! The quality seems very good and the dress fits well. I really like the red tights though I wouldn't leave them on the doll for long because of staining risks, and as others have mentioned, you need to be careful putting the boots on/taking them off or they can snag the tights. The boots are okay, not my favorite, but nice enough. My mom said to be truly authentic they would have needed fringe, and I think that would have been adorable! Last of all, I personally really like the head scarf thing. It's so cute and looks great on dolls! One quick note: I would pick this in person if possible. The vertical stripes on many of the dresses are rather tilted. If that bothers you (like it does me!), if you pick in person you can find one with straight stripes. Here's the dress on my #49. I don't have Julie, but I bought it for my modern girls and it's so cute on them!

I don't have any pictures of this dress because I had to leave it at my mother's house, but I wanted to weigh in anyway. Based on all the reviews, I wasn't sure if I'd like this dress, but when I saw it at AG Seattle, I thought it was really pretty. The yellow is a lovely shade. Kind of a buttery lemon. Not eye searing or anything. The feel of the fabric didn't bother me and it didn't bother my mother either, who is an excellent seamstress and extremely particular about things like fabric quality. The little bonnet is very cute as well. While I would have liked it if the dress looked more like the one in the illustrations, overall I quite like this outfit. Out of everything in the store, this is what I chose when my mother offered to buy me something, and I don't even have Cécile yet! She will look pretty in it for sure though.

I bought this outfit as a Purchase with Purchase at AG Seattle. Was not on my list of things to buy so it was an impulse purchase, but I thought it was pretty cute and hoped it would fit my 18 inch girls since I don't have a Bitty Baby. My new #49 has claimed the dress. It looks so pretty on her, the brown snowflakes and bow look nice with her brown hair. The quality of the dress itself is very nice, the tights fit well, the shoes actually have hard soles and don't look too infantile, and the head band is cute even though like all AG head bands, it doesn't fit the best. If I could change anything, I would make the neckline a little higher cut and do something decorative with the plain short sleeves (or make it long sleeved!) and the neckline. Overall I recommend it though! As you can see, the head band looks fine once you fiddle with it, and it stays on pretty well.

I had this doll for a couple of days but didn't get any pictures of her, sorry. Chose her at AG Seattle. She was not even on my radar when I went into the store, but I saw her and was immediately taken. She's very beautiful- the medium skin and brown eyes are gorgeous! Her eyes are her best feature in my opinion and AG should make more dolls with medium skin and her shade of brown eyes.
Her wig was a little confusing, for lack of a better word. Pretty color- dark brown with some red and light brown hairs in for good measure, but dark overall- but the texture was odd. AG says it's textured, but it hardly is! It actually feels more like my own hair than white dolls like McKenna's. So it definitely does not feel textured, but I didn't really like how it felt. Felt kinda icky and cheap to me even though it isn't, and it falls kind of oddly. Almost looked a bit greasy? In my opinion, she would have been better off with either completely smooth hair, or truly textured hair like Addy's. Black hair would have been lovely on her as well. Texture aside, the wig is nicely thick and has the short hairs in back. It does have a tendency to fall over her face and get stuck in her eyelashes on her right side so I suggest pulling her hair back on that side, but she looks quite cute with her hair pulled back!
In the end, I had to return my doll because the length of her wig was seriously uneven. It was more than an inch longer one one side and looked awful. Confirmed with other forum members that the wig was not supposed to be this way. I decided to exchange her for a #49 who I am quite happy with, but this doll really deserves more love! I promise she is even more beautiful in person and the wig texture probably won't bother most people. Definitely could have lived with it and probably would have gotten used to it if I'd had her longer.
My grade: B+, the texture and look of the wig is what knocked down my grade.

Here is Honey: He was a gift so I didn't really pick him. He's cute enough, but looks like the love child of Snoopy and Woodstock, so I named him Woodstock He's been shuffled around as the pet of many of my dolls. Honey is honestly not my favorite of the pets, but I like him enough to keep him around! The quality is fine. Hard plastic body covered in fur, everything seems well attached. I wish he was bigger, he's super tiny for a Golden Retriever. I do not think he's worth the list price, you should only plunk down the money for him if you really, really like him! Any little stuffed doggie would do just as well as a pet for an AG doll.

First VersionNutmeg is wonderful! Seriously, seriously cute, and not just because I'm a lifelong bunny lover (I've seen some ugly plush bunnies before!). Nutmeg himself is very nice, he's soft and squishy and his fur is velvety. The little basket with the embroidered cushion are charming and the carrots are a nice touch, though I really wish they were not clumped together. I love Nutmeg, he's probably one of my all time favorite AG things and I'm glad he came to live with us even though I don't have Julie (or at least not historical Julie, Nutmeg belongs to my #19 who is I named Julie looong before historical Julie was introduced). Nutmeg gets an A from me, and the A stands for "Adorable"

I bought this outfit for Nellie and it's so adorable on her: The fit is perfect and I'm crazy about the style. I'm particular about lace but quite like the lace on this dress. It does not seem excessively thin to me, though I certainly wouldn't have minded if it was lined! I could do without the little pink bows on the hips, but they're okay. The shoes are fine, not my favorite, but fine. The hair bow is kind of short and VERY wide, it looks huge on Nellie's head but is pretty cute! Seems like little girls back then wore giant hair bows anyway. The ribbon is thick, silky on both sides, and very nice. I do wish the outfit came with tights because Nellie looks pretty bear legged. Overall, this is one of my favorite historical outfits and I give it an A- (because it needs tights!).

I got this for Christmas and agree that it's tight! You would not be able to put it on a doll wearing long sleeves. Maybe my jacket is extra tight, but I don't think a child would be able to put the jacket on. The material also feels kind of cheap. It is definitely cute though, I like that it's red with just a little pink. I give it a B- because it's hard to use but is very cute and there aren't a lot of jackets to pick from.

My McKenna arrived today! Her new name is Miri though and her character is slightly different, but I won't go into that here. I have to say McKenna is beautiful! She's just beautiful and very sweet looking. She does look a bit older than some of the other dolls to me, especially when her hair is in some hairstyles, but that's okay and some people probably specifically want that. McKenna's wig is gorgeous. I love how it looks and think the unicorn is charming. As a kid I often wore my hair that way. The length of the wig is great and I really like how it turns under ever so slightly at the bottom. The curl is not as extreme as on many of the MyAGs, which seems more realistic to me. The hair itself is very silky but the hairs are not too fine, and it's easy to play with. Nice and thick, too and the V part does not interfere with hairstyles, you can just kind of make your own part on the top and it looks just fine. It's true that the wig doesn't have short hairs in the back, but the wig cap is the same color as the hair and while I'd like short hairs, it doesn't bother me that much that she doesn't have them. Here's a picture of her hair from behind with the hair in the unicorn ponytail, her hair is so silky that you can hardly see where the hairs blend together: The color is very lovely. In some pictures (and lighting!) she looks more blonde, and in others she looks more brunette. For my doll, the truth is somewhere in the middle. Literally. The hair on the back half of her head is darker and the hair on the front is lighter. This is a picture of her hair from the side: You can see the color difference in the two halves. Not sure exactly what happened there and I wonder if all McKennas are like that. It looks like they ran out of hair partway through making the wig and the next batch of hair was a slightly different shade. It really isn't all that noticeable though when you braid her hair or just have it down because the hairs from both sides mix together, though I would prefer if her hair was all the same (the darker shade, ideally). Aside from that, her hair does have lovely highlights and all the strands are not the same shade. Overall I would call her hair golden brown. Very pretty. As others have stated, McKenna does look a lot like Elizabeth. Her hair is a little darker and she doesn't have pin curls but other than that, they're basically the same. I wish AG had given her different colored eyes. The dark blue would have been stunning and would have set her apart a bit more. As for the outfit, it's cute enough I guess. I may sell it because it doesn't do a lot for me, but I do like the little shoes with the grippy soles. All in all, I give McKenna a solid B. She's lovely and sweet and a great choice if you don't have Elizabeth, but I would pass if you do. She would have received an A for me if her hair was all the same color and if she had a different color eyes. Freckles wouldn't have hurt either but I didn't deduct any points for that

I got this jacket and cap along with my #19 Julianna for Christmas 1995, when I was 10. Sailor Molly already wrote a great review so I'll just agree with her and say it's a wonderful jacket and very high quality. One of the things I really appreciate about it is that the sleeves are roomy and silky inside so it's quite easy to get the jacket on over shirts and sweaters. Here's my Callie wearing the set:

Here is Julianna (my GT 19 with a new body) wearing the Frosty Party Outfit. It's the only modern outfit I've purchased from Mattel's AG. Not that I'm against buying them, this is just the first one that I really wanted so when it went on sale I snatched it up! I'm quite glad I did because it's so pretty. Sweater: Very pretty. The sequins seem to be sewn on tightly. I wish it was a little looser and a little longer, and the neck on mine stands up a little weirdly. Skirt: Love it! The fabric feels high quality and it's nice and full. The decoration around the bottom is so pretty and I like that it goes all the way around the skirt. It's actually a slip on skirt with a bit of elastic in the back. I fear it wouldn't fit over the butt of a non-Mattel doll because it's kind of tight, if anyone's really curious about it you can PM me and I'll try it on one. No complaints about the beautiful skirt. Shoes: Cute! A little hard to get on but they shouldn't fall off. Nice detail. Headband: Also cute! It stays on pretty well and doesn't look too goofy. The big tag is kind of annoying but no use complaining about that. All in all, I quite like this outfit. It looks so lovely on sweet Julianna and I would have killed for an outfit like this when I was a kid. If I could change anything I would make the changes to the sweater I mentioned before and also I kind of feel this outfit should have tights. I have plenty of tights already so that's not a hard fix, though the shoes may be difficult to get on over the tights. I will post an update when I try.

I got this for Christmas 1995 along with the bunk beds. It is high quality- higher quality than many sleeping bags and comforters I've seen for adults. It's not super fluffy like some comforters but I think it's fine. It fits the bunk bed great and I really like that it can double as a sleeping bag. Very clever! A+ from me. I'm not the hugest fan of the color black but I really appreciate the uniqueness of this sleep sack- it isn't the pink or pastel that seems to be the only option with current AG stuff.

There's a reason this girl is so popular! She's utterly gorgeous. My heart goes pitter patter when I look at her. Mine is named Rose Adele. I love the roundness of her cheeks, her sweet expression, her warm brown eyes, her skin tone, her brown hair, and the beautiful curls that I've twisted into sausage curls. I've only had her for a couple weeks (picked her on my first ever visit to an AG store, the one in Seattle specifically) but her hair isn't too hard to manage yet and I actually find it less intimidating than Kanani's hair because the curls are tighter and more compact. Her character is still a work in progress but she's going to be a historical. She looks especially beautiful in Addy's birthday dress (pictured below) and Addy's flower picking dress. I just love this doll! A+ from me!
