I was really impressed with the quality of this sweater, and the working buttons. My only complaint is that it's snug on a current doll; I wouldn't even try to put it on one of my linebacker PM girls. Here it is paired with the Sweet School dress. I think it would look cute with leggings as well.

I was trying to go for a vintage vibe with this one, though I think it still looks a little young. I never had a bitty, but I loved looking at them in the catalog, and this dress was always one of my favorites. It has an heirloom look about it, to me.

The mini power beads are one of my favorite AG accessories ever. They look exactly like the ones I friends and I used to wear.

When this catalog first came out, I loved the idea of mix and match outfits, and I think they AG pulled it off really well. I used the shirt from the Denim Jumper outfit here, and draped the cardigan to show off the sleeves. I got this set used, and the white shirt seemed a bit yellowed, though that may have been the original color. As the name suggests, these are definitely basics, designed to be everyday wear or mixed and matched with the Drawstring Cargoes and Plaid Skirt and Sweater sets. On its own, it can look a little plain; I always have to add a necklace, and sometimes the hoodie from the cargo set. On the other hand, this is definitely very similar to what I wore around the millennium, flared jeans and rib knits. I didn't have a problem with the fit of the jeans, but I do agree that the top looks unfinished, especially from the back. I always keep it tucked in because the velcro stops about halfway down. I'd give this outfit a B; nothing wrong with it, but nothing special.[/a]

I found this by chance on eBay looking for a different pink bitty dress, and fell in love. I think it works perfectly as a 50's-style dress for #21, Marcy. The fabric is really nice--it has some texture to the weave, and enough weight to hang nicely. Marcy is wearing it with a petticoat underneath. The sleeves have little bows, and there are tucks at the waist and hem. I can't speak to any of the other pieces in the set, as I only have the dress, but it gets a definite A from me.

I just purchased a 36 as well, and my wig looks the same. In my opinion, the wig is actually designed like this to hide the seam for the bangs. The extra-long bangs right at the part are cut from the rest of the wig and should be brushed over to cover this spot. The wig cap is visible if I brush her bangs forward and the rest of the hair back. You can see the beginning of each row of hair and the seam for the straight-across bangs. When I put her bangs back the way they want to be, though, it is hidden. It is hard to tell from photos. Yours might be more drastic, especially if your DH noticed it. It does look a little odd to me that some of the hair in the clip seems to come from underneath the bangs. There may be something different with you doll that I am not seeing in the pictures. I just don't want you to be disappointed it she comes home from the DH looking the same.

I would never have known about this dress if it hadn't been on Spotlight Savings during the last free shipping--which is a shame, because it's seriously cute. The dress and hat fit Marcy perfectly. For reference I believe she's from 2001 so it might be looser on newer dolls. The shoes also fit, because they are entirely made of a pleathery material, but they don't look like shoes a ten-year-old would wear. You can also see the outline of her toes. To my eyes the dress has a retro look. Marcy is a 1950's girl, and while the skirt is probably way too slim to be quite accurate, the dress is surprisingly close to one on Advance 5578. When I finish making her petticoat I'll have to see if that helps at all. www.etsy.com/listing/67986838/advance-5578-girls-dress-double-breastedIt's definitely a summer dress because the material is on the thin side. I'm not usually a fan of the color orange but this is a more subtle shade and actually quite pretty. The ribbon trim on the hat is a slightly darker shade than the dress, with a bit more of a coral tone. The set also came with a Bitty Twins picnic book; I have no use for it but I guess it's nice that they are encouraging reading. Mod edit to remove broken image links

The skates and the roses have both held up very well, and the skates are easy for a child to get on and off. They have a lot of play value. The set does feel skimpy, though. I would have preferred that AG drop the roses and combine the skates with the skating outfit. skydrive.live.com/?cid=A5D863D8658431F0&id=A5D863D8658431F0!613&sc=photos#cid=A5D863D8658431F0&id=A5D863D8658431F0!614&sc=photos

The set consists only of the outfit itself and the matching barrette, but the outfit is very high quality. It is a purple sparkly spandex, and surprisingly the glitter does not get all over the doll or my hands like I was afraid it would.
My neighbor has this set when we were younger, and we played with it all the time. It was one of my favorites. I recently tracked one down for my PM #8 Meg. It is very snug on her; you can see the snaps straining in the back. I don't remember a fit problem with my neighbor's, so maybe Meg is just chubbier than Felicity.
For the barrette, you have to put the ponytail in between the clip and the curved metal part. It reminds me of the shoelace loop barrettes I had as a little girl.
I do wish AG had sold this bundled with the accessories, and it doesn't make sense to have either by itself, but maybe they didn't want a high price tag on a single set.

As a pastel person I loved this whole summer collection when it came out. I'm pretty sure I would have gotten a girl-sized version if it was available. Sarah Elizabeth still wears this all the time. The plaid seersucker is perfect for summer, and the shoulder ties complete the casual look. The purple t-shirt is a very soft cotton. I like to pair it with denim as well. I never used the clips because of S.E.'s hairstyle. They look just like the ones I had then, though. They match surprisingly well given that green and orange aren't actually in the jumper. The shoes are cute but very similar in construction to the Earth Day sandals--meaning that they don't stay on for play very well. They never bothered me but might be a problem for others. Overall it's a great casual outfit for hot weather, and a good reminder that girly doesn't have to mean pink. skydrive.live.com/?cid=a5d863d8658431f0&sc=photos#!/?cid=A5D863D8658431F0&id=A5D863D8658431F0!616&sc=photos
