Here's a picture of it on my Elizabeth. This outfit does have it's problems, mainly the fragility of the lace in the cuffs and cap. Mine tore when I first got it, but I fixed it myself and I just make sure to be careful with it now. I still think it is a good outfit overall because I love the way it looks on Elizabeth.

Elizabeth is just all around beautiful! She looks good in every time and all types of clothes. She is amazingly elegant and I think looks older than my other dolls. This is an old picture, but I think it captures her beauty best out of all of them.

This an absolutely beautiful and well-made set. Mine is new (just recieved it yesterday!); it is very soft, so I'm not sure if it is still made of wool yarn. The buttons are sewn on well and I don't have any fit problems, except for the hat. But, unlike the previous posters, my hat is really big instead of really small! I falls over Laura's eyes if I pull it all the way down! I give this whole set an A+ (even with the abnormaly large hat!) because it is so well-made and cute!

I think AG might have run out of the original shoes and substitiuted the flip-flop ones. I don't have this outfit, but my sister does and it came with sandals like the ones BuckinghamAlice described. I know the outfit was purchased directly from AG, but it could have been a late edition because hers wasn't purchased until at least 2001 (when we got our first dolls). I'll try to take a picture of the shoe (we only have one).

Mattel versionMy costume was purchased from AG last week. It has a leotard and skirt like described above. I actually like the material it is made of and don't think it is too stiff. The leotard feels like a real gymnastics leotard and the piping isn't exactly just gray. It has small flecks of silver in it; I will try to take some close-up pictures. The star is sewn on well and is very shiny. The skirt is well-made and not too short. It also fits my Molly pretty well (she is transitional). The socks are thick and stretchy; I like them better than her meet socks. The tap shoes are the best part of the outfit! The taps on the bottom are real metal and the "leather" (I don't think it's really leather) is very shiny. The only disappointment is the crown. It is made of thin paper that seems like cardstock. I was worried it would get crushed, so I stored it in my bookcase. It's also difficult to get it to sit on Molly's hard properly. I finally did it, but only with the help of many bobby pins. This outfit is an important part of Molly's stories (even if she didn't get to be Miss Victory) and I think it is a good addition to her collection. A+ Pic of just leotard: Close up of taps: Top of shoes: Front and back of crown: The socks are similar to the ones with Molly's rollerskating outfits, but shorter. Rollerskating sock on the left and Miss Victory sock on the right: Molly in just the leotard: Fully dressed: Crown pinned to Molly's head:

I love this outfit and I'm so glad I got it before it retired. The accessories are especially adorable! The towel is soft and thick, though I wish it was a bit longer. The shoes are awesome; they never fall off, a problem I've had with AG sandals in the past. The beach ball is realistically sized and I like how it matches the towel. The necklace is made of strong cord and, though I'm not sure why, it no longer closes with a magnetic clasp. It has a hook and spring-loaded piece that encloses it. The sunglasses have very dark lenses and fit Molly's face well. The suit itself it wonderful; it fits well ( Molly is a bit chubby, so I was worried) and is very flattering. Overall, this is an adorable and unique outfit and I give it an A+! Comparing size of towel to size of Molly: Picture of the clasp on necklace; it is the same as the one on the necklace with Emily's Chrsitmas outfit, which was purchased last year.

I received this as a Christmas gift in 2007. I have personally never seen the PM set, so I couldn't compare the quality. I do think the snow globe is a bit cheap looking, though. I would prefer the wooden base. This set is still really adorable, though, especially the doll and the box with Molly's dad's note on it! Molly is very happy to finally have a doll of her own! Here is a picture of her and Katharine spending time together.

On Molly, I find it helpful if you put the glasses in and then braid her hair around them. This is how I keep them on my Molly.

A+! I was really impressed with the quality! All the little pieces are adorable and well-made. My only issue is that the bag seems too small to put in the entire mess kit. I had to shove it in and was a bit afraid I would rip the bag. Otherwise I am pleased with the set because I love acessories, Molly's in particular. My set came in an AGP box with the description on the front, which I take as a sign it is retiring soon. So get this soon if you want it; it is definitely worth the price!

Warning: I left the galoshes on Molly without socks and the black lining around the zipper made marks on her legs! Don't put these on doll without socks underneath just in case!

My sis recently recieved it as a b-day present. It is much nicer than AG's photos make it look. It is a beautiful color, and the fabric is nice. However, I still can't get the petals to stay down! I am really pleased with it. I will post pics of it eventually.

I am rather angry about the belts, mostly because I see it as AG trying to cut costs. It is okay though, because I can still make the knot I use in the shorter belt.

I originally didn't like this outfit, but not that I have seen it in peson, I really like it. The blouse it well made and really cute. I like that is is a separate, and she can mix and match some. The colors in the shoerts are a little odd, but probably not for the 40's. I like the culotte style though; it makes them different and more feminine. The shoes are awesome;I can see Molly wearing them with almost all her other outfits. They are more red than they looked in AG's pictures, though. The socks are nice, but much too thick to wear with the penny loafers. Molly is happy to have another pair of socks though. The hair ribbon is the only thing I really dislike about this outfit. It is a strange texture, and not long enough to make a decent bow. I wil probably replace it with something alse Outfit:A Ribbon:D

These are pretty well made, but I wish the wheels weren't plastic. I guess they would be quite heavy if they were made of metal ,though, so I think I can forgive that. I also don't like the really thin vinyl the straps are made out of, but it doesn't bug me that much. Overall, I really like these. They are mostly historically accurate, and a nice acessory to add to Molly's collection. Grade:B

I don't understand why they didn't make the galoshes to go over Molly's shoes, since this is specifically mentioned in her books. This is still a great set though; everything is well-made, and I love the umbrella. A+!

This outfit is associated with the book, Changes for Molly. The Slicker & Rain Hat set and the Umbrella & Galoshes set were both introduced in 1987 and retired in 2007. The slicker, rain hat, and galoshes were then combined and renamed the Winter Outfit. This Winter Outfit was introduced in 2007 and retired in 2008.
Slicker & Rain Hat: Keep Molly warm and dry in her bright yellow slicker and matching hat. The raincoat closes up the front with fireman’s clasps and buckles the sleeves to keep her snug.
Umbrella & Galoshes: Perfect for puddle-jumping are these bright red vinyl boots that zip up the sides and a big red umbrella that opens wide.
Winter Outfit: Molly can jump puddles all day in her bright yellow slicker and matching hat. Her red vinyl boots that zip up the side will keep her feet warm and dry.
Original Rain Slicker and Hat: Although I wish Molly had a proper winter coat, this is a very nice set. The coat and hat are made of nice thick material and I like the realistic details (special closures, real pockets). Everything fits well on my Molly; I haven't had any issues with the hat. Actually, it might be a bit too big, it usually falls over her eyes if I don't position it carefully. It is a really nice outfit, though, and it is different, so it gets an A. The boots in the newest set close with velcro instead of zippers, which I really don't like, but I think that is the only difference. (besides the elimination of the awesome umbrella!)

I actually like this outfit. My sis recived it for her birthday, and it has become her Kailey's Christmas dress. I really love the jumper and blouse, not so much the tights and shoes. Our tights look really tacky and uncomfortable, but they don't shed gold flakes! Maybe they fixed that problem. Overall, I give this outfit a B, mostly because of the tights. It does look good with Kailey's colloring though; this is probably because she has the same coloring as Julie.

Awesome set! Everything is very realistic, but I'm a little confused as to why it only ties on one side. (My full- sized one ties on both) When she's not wearing a belt her gi falls open! Other than that, it's a wonderful set solid A.

I love this one! It came on Laura, or else I probably wouldn't have gotten it. It is a good outift that looks cute on any girl! It is a bit dressier than most of their current outifts, which I like. The good: The fabric the skirt is made of is nice and the ruffle is cute. The decoration on the sleeves of the sweater is very nice. The bad: The tights are thin and snag easily. I think the neck on the shirt is weird, but I've never been a big fan of turtlenecks. I also think th boots are a little too "clunky" and look weird on the dolls feet. Rating: All in all it is a good meet outfit. It can be mixed and matched with other things, so I give it an A-. Simply because of the things I think look "weird".

I think it depends on the doll, because I have this and Laura usually wears this and it dosn't look baggy on her. But she is my plumpest doll. Anyway, this is probably my favorite meet outfit so far. I got if by itself with the acessories before if retired. I love it all, btu my fevorite part is the tights, they are nice and thick. In addition to the scrunchie, the acessories also came with a beret, a small metal trunk and a "lunch ticket", and some tiny money. The beret is black and has an elastic band at the bottom and is made of some kind of fleece at the top, it also has a ribbon woven through it that matches the scrunchie. There was also a little necklace that look like a book and has the AGOT logo on it. The oufit: A The acessories: B because I couldn't get the beret to stay on their head with out looking weird.

I recived these glasses as a replacement for her original ones which broke. They are very well-made and the lenses are really unbreakable. It is rather hard to get them to sit right on her face though. I find it works best if you put them where you want them and then style your dolls hair. I also think they are slightly lighter in color than they were. I had another pair before this and I remember them being darker. I give these and A; it would have been an A+, but they are hard to position. Here is a picture of them on Molly. Here is a picture of them on my JLY #14, Laura.

My aunt got me these and an AGP t-shirt for me and my doll. She bought them in 2005, I think. They are the same as the ones dollsforever described.

*mod note: 2001 Soccer Outfit was available in both red (retired 2003) and blue (retired 2004)
This outfit comes with: red or blue soccer jersey, black soccer shorts, red or blue soccer socks, black shingaurds, cleats, soccer ball, towel, and bag. The jersey is made of shiny material that picks easily and has a diamond pattern. It has cap sleeves and a v-neck that has cotton trim with a diamond pattern. It also has small slits on the sides. The shorts are made out of a strange, stiff material and have an elastic waistband. They have decorative stitching in whitr around the bottom of the legs and have American Girl embroidered on them in white. The socks are knee-length and quite stretchy. The shinguards are made of layers of cloth stitched together and have a thin elastic band on the back. The ball is black and white and has the old AGOT logo on it in black. the towel is thick and white with American Girl embroidered on it in black. The bag is duffel shaped and white with black mesh on the sides. It has a black string to close it and carry it with. The cleats are nothing special, but they do have the nice pegs on the bottom. Also the jersey has a 6 on the front if it is red and a 9 if it is blue. I give this outfit a B, because of the weird fabrics and the lacking shinguards and cleats.

I love this set I got it a long time ago when it first came out. Laura has pretty much claimed it, she usually wears it to school. I like this outfit because it does look like something a real girl would wear. It's almost exactly what i wore at 10 years old. In fact, I remember I had a shirt just like the one in this set(not the AG one it was Levi). Also, this shirt goes well with the Go Anywhere outfit.

I have this outfit and actually asked for it because I liked how it looked on #14 in the catalouge. The tights, like most AG ones, are kind of thin and snag easily. I like the baedwork and wrap design of the sweater. I also like the skirt, but the silver layer is easily ripped. I agree that the shoes are the best part of the outfit. The only problems I've had is that the sweater pills a little and I had to reattatch the ribbon on mine.

:-*I recived this outfit last Christmas, and it is so much prettier in person then it is in the catalog picture. It has the most beautiful embroidery on the bodice. It is embroidered with sparkly pink and gold thread. The skirt has a layer of beige satiny material for the first layer, on top of that is a layer of starched meshy stuff and two layers of soft mesh. The final layer is really soft stretchy beige mesh. The acessories are the cutest! The gloves are stretchy, elbow-length, and embroidered with a flower vine design. The little shoes are satin and have tiny heels! They are lined with turquoise blue leather. They also have a backstrap to keep them on the doll's feet. (I hate it when shoes fall off) The jewels in the hair clip look fakey, but the overall effect is cute. I would give this outfit an A+, because Molly looks like a princess in it. In fact, I'm thinking of making a mask to go with it, so I can use it as a masquerade halloween costume.

I can't say enough about my AG14 (Laura). She has dark, shiny brown hair, it is somewhat wavy and tends to curl in at the bottom. Her eyes are bright, almost aquamarine. She looks very regal and exotic, because of her dark hair and bright eyes. She looks good in bright colors. I love Laura because she is my funky modern girl.

This one was also a late b-day present. It is very nice and looks good on Elizabeth. However, the fabric on mine snags easily. The dress has the less damaging velcro, and I have already snagged it a bit. I love everything else, though! It is a must if you have Elizabeth or like her collection.
