I made a review video of the Sunshine Gardening Bench. I think the retail of $68 is high, as is par for the course with American Girl. I bought it during the 20% off Spring sale with free shipping, so I'm fine with the price I paid.

Adding my video review and few pics. If this were $50, it would be an A+. I think it's overpriced for the quality of the plastic for all but the mixer. BUT, I love the mixer and it is a "must have" for my collection. If you can't pull the trigger at $68, definitely buy on sale if you have the chance! I love Julie's new meet! I was completely uninterested in Julie until the Beforever revamp. There is not extraordinary about the meet, it's a simple sleeveless tee and jeans with inset floral fabric sides. The vest is crocheted cotton. Even though it's simple, it manages to pull off a kitschy 70's vibe without being over-the-top gaudy. It probably goes without saying that I MUCH prefer the new meet to the old! The buckle sandals are adorable and will match well with many of our other AG outfits. I did an unboxing video for Julie with a few still pics at the end.

#61 is a gorgeous doll! I bought her for her beautiful, unique red hair. Her green eyes are very pretty and suit her coloring. Comparison with Saige (I altered Saige's wig to move part away from the center): #61's hair is shorter and less curly then Saige's hair, but it is definitely more red. I did a review video for #61 and compared her to Saige and #55, with photographs at the end.

In my opinion, this was the best of the Beforever release! Excellent quality and attention to detail, and heirloom piece for sure. Video review (along with a few other new Addy outfits):

I really like Addy's new meet! I think the color looks terrific on her. I wish it was a tad longer to more easily cover her crionline and chemise. My favorite part is the boots! LOVE the boots. Addy's Beforever Meet Outfit by steph6468, on Flickr I did a video review of her new meet, her school outfit, and her crinoline and chemise:

This was the outfit I knew I had to have when the first sneak peeks of Beforever were revealed. I will admit, though, I swallowed hard at the price. I think it's worth it? Don't get me wrong, I love it, but $60 for the dress + accessories (hat, handbag, bracelet) is a.lot.
Anyway, I think the colors are gorgeous, the fabrics are high quality, the detailing with the buttons on the placket, the peter pan collar, and the rickrack trim is divine.
I don't have Kit but it looks great on Caroline and Cécile. I made a review video with additional photos at the end.

I give Samantha's Beforever Bicycle an A! It feels very substantial to me and the materials seem to be very high quality. I wasn't sure I'd like the plastic "wicker" basket, but it's very nicely done and removable, as well. I think the scale is right on and Avery looks super cute riding her new bike. I did a video unboxing and review for YouTube. There are more action pics at the end.

I agree with Laura Isabella's review and had the same concerns about the felt gaiters. I love the top and bloomers, though.
Overall: Worth the price, A- with credit taken away for the cheapness of the felt used for the gaiters.
I did a video review of this outfit. I don't have Samantha, so I used Avery (MYAG 55) for my model. There are additional photos at the end of the video.

Spa Chair Item# F5355 She can treat her doll to a spa day! Just like the real thing, this padded spa chair tips back so she can "wash" her doll's hair with the pull-out sprayer, or give her a pedicure in the foot bath. The faucet and footbath make bubbly water sounds! Set also includes:
A faux bottle of shampoo A bottle of pretend spa salts Make-believe nail polish bottles An embroidered bath towel Three sheets of nail stickers A mini magazine for her doll to read while she enjoys salon treatments
$110This was purchased for my 8 y.o. daughter in December of 2013. Unfortunately she's already misplaced a few of the accessories, but you can see how this item has held up after 6 months of real-girl play. The chair is made of nice heavy weight, durable plastic and has a substantial feel to it. It has a non-slip bottom as well so it stays in place during play. The seat is topped with padded vinyl. The seat tips forward for a soak in the foot bath or backward for a hair wash. The velcro strap secures the doll into the seat, otherwise she'd slip down with the chair is in the forward position. I am using a plastic band to secure the spray nozzle in Cécile's hand. The foot bath has non-working "buttons". The silver lever moves back and forth, but doesn't appear to do anything else. AG's description says that the foot bath makes bubbly sounds, but the button for the bubbly sounds is actually on the chair (turquoise button pictured under the left arm rest) and the sound emanates from underneath the sink portion of the chair. They are very nice bubbly sounds though! The foot bath also has a drain with real holes in the bottom, so it would be impossible to actually fill with water, which is probably a very good thing. The sink portion features a sprayer that pulls out on red plastic tubing. The sink nozzle turns and produce a running water sound effect. The drain pictured is also a 'real' drain and would prevent the sink from actually holding water. As I mentioned, my daughter has misplaced some of the accessories (the towel, a bottle of nail polish, and the stickers), but the ones she found are very nice quality and well made. None of the tops open. The Doll Style magazine has 8 pages including the front and back cover and has cute "articles" and "ads" that you can read if you have a magnifying glass or young eyes. The price is pretty steep at $110 but it is a quality piece. I would say this has moderate play value for a child, particularly if your child is interested in pretend salon. Overall, I would rate this item B+, with the biggest "con" that it is slightly overpriced. If it was $85, I'd give it a solid A.
