From afar, it seems like a very plain outfit. But once you put it on Samantha, it looks extremely cute. Possibly due to the way the skirt flares out. The ribbon and buttons on the front are very cute. I do put the white socks and mary janes with this shoes- as well as her hair in a ponytail. I bought mine in early 1997, just in case. The grade is A.

It is WAY too big for my Samantha. It shows the Lacy Whites. It just seems to fit awkwardly. Hence I am disappointed with it.

This is my favorite one of Samantha's outfits. The color is a very beautiful shade. The quality of all the fabric is very durable as well as appealing. And it does resemble historical costumes of that time period. I have seen similar outfits in the most recent Peter Pan movie, as well as the A Little Princess movie and the BBC production of Five Children And It.

I had no trouble putting the clothes on my PM Kirsten who had the flannel underwear underneath. She looks absolutely beautiful. My favorite part is the skirt- I like that the waistband stays on the skirt and is not a removable sash. I love the hair ribbons as well. The blouse is lovely- it is flannel so it is warmer than if it were a crisp cotton. This outfit gets an A+ from me- I cannot believe I did not buy it earlier.

So far my Kirsten's underwear set has fit well beneath all her clothes. Even the tighter ones fit well on top of it. The petticoat adds an extra poofiness to the dresses, which is very cute. Overall an A+ from me.

Mine is from 1998- before the announcement came that Mattel would be taking over.
Kirsten's hair gave me problems since I let it down for the first time. Way too dry and hard to manage.
Plus eventually she developed silver eye.
I sent her to the Doll Hospital to get a new eye- and her hair is in much better shape now.
See my signature image for a pic of her.

Trunk

I just received Kirsten's trunk. On the promised day- albeit late.
I like even better than what I expected!
I was able to store all my AGOT supplies. All of Elise's outfits are in the middle. I put Inga's in the left (as well as those that I have saved for future dolls), and I put the shoes and accessories and hats on the right. I still kept the shoes and accessories inside a Ziploc bag.
The wood finish is really smooth- so there will be no splinters. The trunk felt heavier at first than what I expected- but I had no trouble lifting it even after filling it up.
It's even fitting well next to my table and chairs.
The designs are absolutely beautiful. I love the plate on the back. I love the main background color and the one used on the designs.
A++++++ overall for both form and function.

The color is definitely my favorite aspect of this dress. Although the sleeves are a bit tight, it is otherwise a great dress. I am glad I kept it. It's in my siggie pic. A.

I will have to show a very different view on this dress. I was very disappointed with it. The fabric was too thick and unappealing. The color combination does not look good on Kirsten at all- and I do not know if that shade of green worked best for that shade of purple. The design was way too overwhelming. I was not satisfied with the dress and have not put it on my doll again. D.

I have the current Sari. She's absolutely beautiful. I love how she is modeled to have socks and pantalettes. Her braids are made so well. The calico prints are adorable. The face is so cute. A+

Another A+ from me. I am a sucker for things Scandinavian. The ribbons are adorable and have lasted. The unbleached muslin gives it an extra touch.

Beautiful gown. Everything works well together. I have not used the second stomacher at all-IMHO it clashes with Felicity's complexion. However, the first one does not for some reason. Many pieces are hard to lose- but they all make the outfit look complete. A-

Hadn't gotten around to review this outfit I guess.
I like this dress MUCH better than the original Rose Garden Gown. I like the colors, the print, and the style. I have no problems with the shift. The cap is a bit poofy, but still works fine. The choker is okay. I did not get the new stockings due to my getting it as the Traveling Outfit. But hopefully they are not as thick and fuzzy as the original ones.
Overall, the parts I got, I give it an A-.

The outfit is beautiful per se. Skirt is really good. Jacket looks pretty but it is hard to lace up without her shift showing underneath. And two of the grommets have fallen off already- I bought this outfit in 1998 or 1999. A-

I did not realize just how beautiful Josefina looked in this outfit until I had her wear it to cosplay another character. But it is fantastic. At first I was not too thrilled by the colors, but they do work well for the doll. The design is beautiful. My favorite aspect is the veil and mantilla. And the shoes also go well with most of Josefina's other outfits. The pantalettes are cute, though I don't always use them. A+

This outfit is just plain spectacular. The shirt is fancier than the other ones she has while at the same time not being frou-frou in any way. I like tying the ribbons around the sleeves to add even more color. The skirt is absolutely beautiful- I love the turquoise and the pattern. The shoes are not staying so well on her- but I am using the black ones from the Christmas outfit anyway. Very beautiful color combination. A from me.

I like this outfit quite a bit. The buttons in the jacket are hard to button- but otherwise it is very nice. The dress can be worn on its own. If the jacket is closed, it looks a bit too heavy. A-

I'm quite pleased with this outfit as well. The skirt and shirt fit well on Josefina. The shades of blue and red used look good on her too. But I will give it an A rather than an A+ because the design of the skirt and the shirt are both rather plain.

Josefina has to be the most beautiful American Girl doll that AG/Pleasant Company has ever manufactured. Between her coloring, her luscious hair, her earring, and her clothes, she is just plain drop dead gorgeous. She looks like Salma Hayek. She's just plain alluring. I only have one tiny little detail preventing her from getting an A+: her hair is cut in a weird angle and it is hard to get back inside a braid once you let it down. But otherwise she gets an A.

I absolutely love this outfit. The dress' design and print are beautiful. Though orange is not one of my favorite colors, it looks very beautiful with Josefina's complexion. The leather vest and straw hat are very cute additions. It goes well with Josefina's other shoes- so the boots are not absolutely necessary. Another A+ from me!

I finally put this outfit on Josefina. It's absolutely beautiful. I especially like the design of the camisa- the sleeves and the embroidery. The skirt is cute and looks comfortable. The sash is very pretty and it fit my Josefina. Overall an A+.
