I bought this just becasue I saw it in the store and liked the color on Addy. Not as full as some of the older dresses. Hat is not real sturdy and my ribbon band is not tacked down at all so it seems a little bigger than the brim. No specail details and I do miss the litte extra touches. B+ for color and it fits my older Addy.

I too bought the stove for my granddaughter who does like it. I gave her the choice of the stove or the laundry set; in person I personally liked the ironing board. She was at the AG store when she picked the stove so it was an "in person" choice for her.
Agree with many other collectors. I would not buy it myself and think it not such a great buy. But kids seem to love it and it does have play value.

Mine was broken also. But I did make it (on a very hot day--bad idea). I made own pattern by piecing together the broken ones. I used a "mortar" of flour water and allspice. Color was perfect.
It is very cute..will try to post picture. I did use the original candy pieces but used icing from grocery store tubes. (think I used the AG pastry bag for the edging).
There is also one of the AG cookbooks that gives great ideas for gingerbread houses by using graham crackers. That is so easy and kids love to do that too.
When the AG Gingerbread house and my made-up goo finally dried I did give it a coat of spray varnish.

I sewed on my scottie pin by simple basting around neck and hind. It positioned the collar properly. I actually wish Kit had a Scottish Terrier as they were so popular during the 1930's and later becasue of FDR's dog Fala, but he had his dog in the 30's. Of course partial becasue I have owned these dogs my whole life. I spend lots of time buying the pins and sewing them on for the Mom's I know....I care more than they do I think. But really sewing works perfectly and keeps the collar more perky and rounded rather than just flat.
