Does anyone know if there's a way to get Molly's name off/out of the front of the bag? I want to buy the school supplies for Emily, but I want to either put her name on them or have no name at all. I just cut it out. I have a schoolbag for Emily and now I want to buy one for my new Molly. Good luck!

I love this dress but the fabric gets wrinkled very easily.

I bought Samantha's desk at a flea market. It is very good quality, a sturdy, heavy wood and Samantha can sit in it comfortably. I give it an A.

I adore my 35th anniversary Kirsten. She has such a personality and an adorable face. Her Meet dress is one of my favorites, though I lost the spoon that goes in her spoon bag. Overall grade: A

This is my favorite of Rebecca’s outfits. Even though the skirt is attached to the top I think it makes it look neat and smooth. The sweats is nice and well made. I love the black boots, I use them with her meet outfit as well.

This is a cute set. My Rebecca is an older one, wearing the original meet outfit but she also wears the necklace from this set. The purse works wifh either outfit. I don’t care for the hat in this set..

I love her hat. The shawl is stiff as everyone else has said and my pin broke immediately when I tried to put it on. In my opinion the hat is the only reason to buy this set.

I have the Felicity charm. I put a ribbon on it and made it into a tiny christmas tree ornament for our minature tree. So, if you don't have a charm bracelet, you can make a tree ornament!

I bought this outfit for my Emily and it looks adorable on her. The colors really suit Emily's coloring I think. I also love that it is a two piece (blouse and skirt) because you can mix and match the items. The shoes and socks are also very cute and go well with this outfit as well as others. The only thing I would have added is a hair accessory- a ribbon or some barrettes. Otherwise an A from me.

My Kanani hasn't arrived yet, so Lanie is modeling the outfit for us. Its very cute, I give it an A-, the sunglasses feel kind of flimsy.

I just got these today. They are supposedly on backorder until Dec 10th, but they showed up today. The laptop and bag are super cute, though it would be nicer if it had an actual screen and not clings. Lulu the bunny is also super cute and soft. I love Lanie's bracelet. The letters are fine, but nothing paper lasts long in my house. I give it an A-.

WARNING: I am a dancer. I've been dancing for ten years. AG could do everything correctly and I would still yell at them for being unrealistic. No matter how much I rag on this set, I *love* it. Shoes: AG dolls are ten years of age, not three. The soles of the shoes should be split, like so. (Image of Split-soled ballet shoes) ETA: will finish review later. Gotta go get dance stuffs! ;D I don't agree with the shoes comment. I've been a dancer for 24 years (am 27 years old now) and I have danced semi-professionally. Ballet shoes are a personal choice, I know many semi and professional dancers who dances with troupes and companies who wear full-soled ballet slippers. Many also wear split-soles, but depending on the dancer and their preference, full soles are also commonly worn. Its not like a pointe shoe where there is an age boundry nor any written rule that one cannot wear full soles after a certain age. When I taught dance classes, most of jr high aged dancers, who were on pointe as well, wore full soled shoes.

This set was released in 2010 and retired in 2015.
Rebecca loved collecting souvenirs on her summer trip. These souvenirs are the perfect way for Rebecca to remember her family’s trip to Coney Island: A seashell-embossed memory book with pages to place postcards Seven colorful postcards with sticker backing A ride poster from Steeplechase Park A wind-up carousel music box that really turns and plays the tune “Over the Waves” A ride ticket that hangs on a string
I ordered Rebecca's Souvenir Set along with her summer dress, because I thought the souvenirs were cute and it seemed natural to get them together. They are cute, especially the carousel. I was hoping it wasn't plastic, but alas it is plastic. It plays the song "Over the Waves" (which many carousels even these days play!) and its really cute. The rest of the set is pretty much all paper, however. The seashell photo album is cardboard with black paper pages and the photographs are stickers that can be put in the album. It also has two pockets for the extra photos and the "combination ticket"- a piece of cardboard on a string. The set also includes a paper list of rides. It is a cute set but I think the price tag is quite steep for what you get. I ended up keeping it because my kids fell in love with the carousel, but otherwise I would have sent it back and waited for a sale.

This outfit was introduced in 2010 and retired in 2014.
Rebecca can’t wait for her family’s trip to Steeplechase Park at Coney Island! To stay cool in the sun, she chooses this summertime outfit: A cotton dress with a dainty floral print, plus a gathered sash and lots of ruffles A pretty hat featuring a taffeta bow will help shade her eyes from the hot summer sun White patent Mary Jane shoes to match
I was very excited when Rebecca's summer outfit was released, and I wasn't disappointed! I know some people have issues with the looks of the dress but I think its lovely. The material is not as thick as it looks in the photos, its a lovely summer cotton and looks great on Rebecca. The hat is a nice straw-like material with a purple band, I'm not big on hats but it looks just like the one from the book. I hoped for a little more from the shoes, they're just white shoes with velcro "clasps", but its nice that the outfit includes shoes.

A lot of old radio shows were also hard to understand, for the very reason that was radio and at that time it was the nature of the beast. I collect episodes of OTR shows (Old Time Radio) and some are very clear, most are understandable but with crackles, and a few are completely unintelligable.

I really like Chrissa's warm up set. I was able to get it from the website after Jan 1 by searching for "Chrissa". The terrycloth shorts and blue tank top are very cute and I love how everything has "Edgewater Swim Club" on it. The jacket is very nice and well made, as is the visor. The flip-flops, I feel, are a little cheaply made- they are just foam with a plastic strap to hold them on. I could care less about the IM me thing either way. Mostly I like the outfit for clothing it came with.
A; would be higher if the shoes weren't so cheap looking.

I was able to snag this outfit from the website by searching for "Chrissa". Its a very cute dress that looks nice on my Chrissa, although my Chrissa has a chunky butt and so its a tight fit to get it to close in the back. The shoes are okay, nothing particularly special, same with the barettes. Nonetheless, I was glad to be able to get this important part of Chrissa's collection.

This is the pink AG nightgown with a print of colored envelopes. It also came with slippers and a mini games and giggles book, but I do not have those. The nightgown is nice. Its simple, but its a thick cotton and apparently good quality, because 12 years later it has no pilling or snags on it. It has a cute little pocket on the front on as well. I give a B+, just for its plain-ness.

I just received this set today (with my big after Christmas order spree :/) and its adorable. The cake is so detailed and realistic, it makes me hungry looking at it! The little candle is removable so you can use it for other situations too, not just Kit's birthday. The stoneware platter is nice quality, I just wish it included two little plates for the cake slices, it would make the set more complete. It also has a metal server which is very detailed
The little baskets of candy are soo cute- they feel like metal with plastic molded candies inside. The candies are quite detailed, its very cute.
The decorations seem more fragile, but the laterns are actually quite sturdy. The only part of them I dislike is the cord which they're attached to- it seems too modern, not something Kit would have used to hang them. The fans are cute, but very delicate and one of mine already has the paper coming off the wooden handle.
All in all, its a cute set. I give it an A- for the fans and fact that it could have included two plates for the cake slices.

Second Version
*price increase from $42 to $48 January, 2012*
Josefina's new baking set includes the retired adobe oven set as well as elements of her cocina supplies. The adobe oven is plastic, and feels plastic when you hold it, its fairly lightweight. I wasn't terribly impressed by the make of the oven, its fairly simple and the fake fire feels cheezy, but it has great play value. The wooden door that comes with the oven just sits in front of the oven's opening. It also comes with a wooden spatula to take the bread in and out of the oven which is made of a nice glazed wood and two rolls of bread- one white and "unbaked" and one brown and "baked". These rolls add a lot of play value to the set.
New to the set is a woven yellow and red tablecloth/runner. Its very cute and well made- thick. It also contains a small woven basket which can hold either the two plastic red chiles or the bundle of maize (corn) that the set comes with. It also has a set of "stones" (made of out plastic) called a mano y metate which are used to grind corn and grains. Adds another element of play value to the set. It also includes a small piece of soft leather (fake) and I'm honestly not sure what its for- I use it to put the bread on it when it comes out of the oven.
Overall its a very cute set with a lot of play value. Especially since the cocina set was retired long ago, I'm glad they brought back elements of it in this set. For the price of it, you get a lot of things. I do wish the oven didn't feel so fake and plastic, but I'm not sure what really could have been done to change that. Otherwise, I give the set an A.

I agree about the goggles.
As for the towel, I'm pretty sure its actually supposed to be a shammy, not a full towel. A shammy is made out of the material that shammies used to wash cars are made of- they dry you off very quickly when you get out of the pool as they super absorbent. They're always small, about the size of a large washcloth. I think that's what AG was going for.

I bought this today at AGPC, sort of on a whim. I thought "ohh that's so cute" and got it. I am really disappointed that the dolls don't seem to be able to sit comfortably in the seat. I was hoping to use it as a display piece with the doll sitting in it, but it really doesn't look good when she sits. I'm considering returning it, though I'm not sure how much it will be to return via mail and I don't think I'll make it back down to AGPC anytime soon. The accessories are really cute, the book and folder especially, though I agree that I am disappointed it doesn't come with anything inside the pencil case.

I just bought this set at AGPC and I love it! I'm a nurse also (used to work ortho, now work hospice though) and it is so adorable and realistic! A lot of other reviewers have said all the great things about this set, but I agree! The only minor complaint I have is that my leg cast tends to pop off, but it could be I got one with a looser clasp than others.
PS: No, it does not fit the BB/BT. Their arms and legs are shaped differently and thus it doesn't work!

I finally bit the bullet and ordered Rebecca with the code a few weeks ago. Oh my gosh, I am so glad I did! She's absolutely gorgeous. I adore her stories and at first I wasn't sure about the doll, but she is even more beautiful in person than in the pics. It is true that her wig is a little thing and I had to re curl her hair out of the box because it arrived messy, but otherwise the doll herself is beautiful. I love her meet dress also, and that was mentioned in the meet book, although the fabric was a bit thinner than I pictured. Her tights, shoes and barrette are fine- nothing special. All in all though, I give Rebecca an A+!!!

This outfit looks much prettier in person than in the pictures! Its a beautiful velvelty plum with shimmery sparkles on the tulle skirt. The tights and shoes are well made and coordinate with the outfit. The hairpiece is cute, but I had a very hard time getting the ponytail to wrap around in the doll's hair... it either wraps once and is too loose or wraps twice and is way too tight a fit. Either way, a beautiful outfit! A from me!

I bought this set because I though the cocoa and cookies would be cute. I was disappointed however, by the cheapness of this set for the price of it. The "tin" for the cookies is plastic (I have no idea what I thought it was, but not plastic) and the plastic is thin and cheap. The cookies do not come out of the "tin", they are stuck to the bottom. The cocoa mug is cute, but again, feels very cheap and the sheet music is a very thin paper which I don't feel will hold up well to play. I decided to return the set.

The book was eliminated and the charm was added in 9/2010.
This outfit arrived today. I wasn't sure what I was going to think of it, so I decided to look at it in person and decide if I wanted to keep it or not. Well, I'm keeping it... it looks adorable on my #25, Phoebe. The sparkly dress looks even more shimmery and the skirt looks fuller in person and the little white shoes are just adorable. I don't care for the gloves much but that's a minor point. Overall, I give it an A-, I think maybe it could have come with a necklace or hairpiece to accessorize it more.

My #23 has been made into Laura Ingalls. (ETA I had this planned long before the comment above!) She's a beautiful doll, though in the pictures her hair looked longer than it actually is when you try to put it into braids. Still, she's a gorgeous doll. Here are some pictures of my "Laura":

I have a PM white-bodied Samantha, but I bought my daughter a Mattel Samantha to save for her when she's older (of course I may take her out of the box and play with her myself too ). Anyway, she's a gorgeous doll. Its such a shame they retired her. The mattel version of ours has darker hair and slightly darker eyes, and more face coloring. She's very sweet looking and her curls are gorgeous! Here are some pics of the mattel Samantha and a comparison pic with my (well loved, 20 year old) PM Samantha. mod edit to remove broken image link
