I got this for my Nanea. I wanted it because I didn't want her luau set. It's nice. I love the detail. All the pieces are well made. The scale is good, the plates are realistic and the chopsticks fit fingers. Worth every penny.
AAA++

This is what I expect from AG.
The Dress: Every thing about this dress is perfect. The fabric is soft and substantial. The color is a pistachio green. The floral pattern is a good and realistic scale. The floral varies in rose color. The dress has very tight gathers that look perfectly made. The tucks are continued to the skirt. The wide rose ribbon is placed at the hip level. A very nice detail. The flare of the sleeves is pretty. The sewn trim looks like tatting. The white lace overall makes this dress very 1904. The fit is very nice on my doll. I think it's a classic look.
The Hairbow: I love the bow features in this article. It can be a double bow or a waterfall bow. It matches everything in the dress. The attention to detail is wonderful.
The Shoes and Tights: The tights are on pare with AG. The shoes are not what I expected or wanted. I do like them, they are beautiful, but I exchanged these for a pair of white button boots. A much better look. Overall Grade: AAA

This is a beautiful outfit. The Dress: The fabric is a rose pink with a nice floral print. The fit is good. The lace is beautiful. I like the ribbon sash. I am happy the outfit comes with a hair accessory. I love that everything is to scale.
The Shoes and Tights: These are the average AG items I already have.
The Basket and Flowers: This is a little disappointing for me. I would have liked a more realistic group of flowers. Overall Grade: A-

I bought this "Molly's curl Kit" set a few years back when it was still available. I just got one for my sister, her Emily wants one for Xmas. So do her DGD's. I don't need to show any pics... those featured above are fantastic.
Mollys Curl Kit: This was a well concidered purchase. I knew I wanted it for my Molly's collection and it is well worth it. The "Hair Dryer" : I have to say it should plug into a mini wall scoket! It really works, a battery. Well, it makes a sound like it works. Too cute.
The Box Of "Perment Wave Solution" , "Hair Net" and the "Bottle": These are very realistic and well done. They look like those in the book illustrations. Not to mention the 'Movie".
The "Curlers": I have seen these made for other sized dolls. But, I like these better. Might be a bit much for kids, in that they could break with over use or hard use.
The "Hair Pins": I really like these, I need to find more in fact. I could use them for lots of doll hair do's!
The "Hair Combs": these are consistant with others mede by AG. They are well made and are realistic looking for the period.
Overall rating: A+ The cost was worth it. I like this set a lot. My family (kids) love to use it in the 'Hair Salon' when playing, so it has great 'Play Value'. I am pleased with the overall usage and look of the set.

Mollys Yellow Jenny Lind Bed:This was an unexpected surprise. I purchased this bed from AG on 3-3-2013. The Bed: is a classic 'Jenny Lind' style. It has a headboard and foot made in the 'spindle' style. The bed has side rails which are held in place with screws and bolts, simular to an "Ikea" furniture piece. These are hidden by clip-on covers the same color as the paint. The bed came with the only tool needed to fit it together. It was very easy to construct. There are 2 bed slats, with a solid wood piece for the base of the mattress. These are attached to the bed frame and of a very solid construction. The Mattress: is a typical AG issue. It is well made and the cover fabric is a bit more substancial than the more recient beds for dolls. The Pillow: Is also a classic AG issue. The size is good for the bed. The outer fabric is the same as the mattress, well made. The Coverlet: This is a nice departure. The bed cover is made from a brocade material. It is a light yellow, covered in a white diamond pattern vine trellis. There are small light blue flowers in the center of these diamonds. Overall rating: A+ The cost was $94.00 and worth it. I like this better than any other bed AG has made. I am well pleased with the new Molly bed. I can see this bed being used for a Historical or a Modern dollowner. It is strong, well made and kid friendly too.

This review is for the 'Floral Pajamas" set. I purchased these on 3-3-2013. Pajama set: These are a two piece set. There is a top and a pair of full length pant style bottoms. And, a pair of matching slippers. The fabric is a good weight cotton. It is strong, polished cotton and pretty thick. The printed pattern is a light yellow and light blue plaid on white. In the center of the plaid boxes are small dark blue rosebuds. The overall effect is very pretty. The trim is made of a dark blue cotton piping, simular to the d. blue rosebuds. Also, there are dark blue satin bows as decoration. The Top: The top reminds me of a shift. The sleeves are 'cap'-style ruffles. The decoration includes the curved/rounded inset at the sholders. This was popular in the early 1940's. The neckline is straight across and has a small ruffle along the top. A d.blue bow is centered on the middle of the neckline. There are two rounded pockets with a gathered ruffle. This has elastic and gives slightly. They have the same dark blue trim around them and d.blue satin bows. The back has a velcro attachment. The Bottoms: These are well made. They are pants with an elastic waist. They fit very well. Molly can sit-up in them. The waist is high enough for her. There is a dark blue cotton piping trim at the cuff of the legs. Which is a very nice finish. The Slippers: Cute Blue Mules, with and elastic back for fitting. I like the style, they have a seam on the top, and look realistic. They fit well too. I'm not happy with the small "kitten" heel. I know Molly would not have had these heels. But, I'm sure this is made for kids, as well as adult collectors. Overall: A+ I am very well pleased with these PJ's. They are the 'Summer" PJ's Molly needed. I am the most impressed though, with the fact that they (AG) made sure that the "Plaid" matched up with the pieces on all of the top and bottom seams! That is hard and very nice. As well, the plaid is on a bias. Which means that there is a lot of care put into this outfit.

I have the Very First Original PC Version of the Molly Miss Victory Tap Outfit. This came with the Winter Activities, in a PC white box. Both the outfit and the 'Sick-in-bed' items were packaged together. I have both and will review here separately. I love this version. It is the soft satin, which flows and drapes on Molly just like a 1940's version should. The blouse has the silver/white satin star, going from the upper left towards the lower right side of the top. This is like the original 1987-1990 version of the Molly books, before the illustrations were changed by PC The skirt is separate and all three colors (red, white and blue). It has a Velcro tab in the back. The waistband is red. The panties are made from the same soft blue material. The hat, there is a 'Silver 3 Star Crown' with the set. The paper was not like the more modern holographic silver paper. It was just silver, with the elastic back. There were NO shoes. You were to use the original Gotz Black plastic shoes. Overall Rating: A+ I really like the set. It was the most "Patriotic" ensemble that was made by PC for Molly. To me it was the personification of the 1940's and the high point of Molly's books and movie.

I love this set. The dress is sweet. It was offered to AG customers at the Major AGP locations (Chic, LA and NYC) This was one outfit used during the ''On Stage Revue" at the AGP Theater in the above stores. The scenes featured musical performances based upon the Historical Characters. These are no longer in store. The Dress: It has a 'Princess cut'. The sequins are machine strung and applied along the 'Princess-cut'. As well as the Pinafore style ruffled arm openings. The Shoes: These are the best ones, and are shinny 'Red Patent Leather' tap shoes with metal taps! And, unlike any other Tap Shoes, they have an ankle tie, for a 40's look. The Hat: 'Star Crown' is just like the 'Molly Miss Victory' tap set, but in bright red. And...

This is the 'AG Revue' Purple and White Jitterbug Dance' set. EVERY MOLLY DOLL SHOULD HAVE THIS SET ... or at least I think so... When the AGPLA first opened they had a stage with live performances. Unfortunately the stage closed later on. This was one of the costumes used there. And, then offered for sale as an exclusive for the AG dolls DRESS and TAP PANTS: The set included a Purple and White satin Jumper set. The skirt has box pleats, with purple on top and the white as the inset. The blouse is white with a Burgundy red piping on the Peter Pan collar. This is a one-piece set, that is, it appears to be 2 pieces. There is piping along the edge of the puffy white short sleeves as well. There are two Red Star buttons on the jumper straps. The Tap Pants are the same purple satin, and are meant to go over the under ware, this way you never see panties when you dance. SHOES AND SOCKS: The set came with a pair of white bobby socks. This included Black and White Saddle shoes for dancing the Jitterbug. These are the best of the 'Saddle shoes' AG made. The navy/white and the red/white were poorly made. These are really solid and well made, the best! HEADBAND: And a matching Burgundy Red headband, set with small silver stars and 'diamond' rhinestones. It is wonderfully made. BOX; The Box was wonderful, it was all Burgundy with a Picture of the doll wearing the outfit. I give this set an overall A+Originally it was $20.00 and only available at the AGPC, AGPNY and AGPLA. Note: once I download my camera I will post pics!

I love these dresses. I say that because I have both versions. The oldest is so soft and silky. The white lace is thick and full. A really beautiful dress. I give it an A+The second edition is also a beautiful dress. It is not as soft. But, it has a great feel, hey, like velvet. The lace is different (also not as thick) and there are a row of buttons down the front. This is an A, but, only because I have both and prefer the first edition.

This dress was a total surprise for me. I didn't expect that it would be so beautiful. The cotton cloth used is very soft, thick and close-woven. The print is very pretty with a small pink rosebud pattern over a sprigged leaf pattern in light green. The attention to detail is amazing too. The piping along the 6 gore skirt makes the skirt stand out. The use of the piping and lace at the neckline is very well done. It stands upright and does not bend over. The bib at the front would have been easy to leave off, but, it makes the dress so much more unique. Even the sashes for the bow in the back of the dress are carefully done. They are hemmed to make certain that they both tie well and are ample for a nice bow. I first bought this as a Grey Market item, gave that to my sister. (Very thin and stiff material) But, the REAL THING is just that... a Really beautiful dolls dress. A+

I really LOVE this set. I would have worn it too. The pants are great. The small wade Corduroy in a dark blue is so spot on. The flannel plaid shirt is just perfect in detail, right down to the red buttons. The fit is wonderful on my newer Mattel sized doll. And, yes, the pants fit best if the cotton undies are on. The doll can sit and stand without a problem. A very realistic set - Love it! A+

Version I
I've been collecting Kirsten's sets forever, or so it seems, and I finally got this set. The table and chairs are so well made. This looks like real furniture, not a childs toy. It is so pretty. They are all sturdy and finished to fit together well. A+ The Pine table and 2 chairs are really old and the set has a beautiful golden glow. My girls had these and we gave it away in the early 90's. I feel like I found the same one again. What a wonderful presence so much better than the newer painted version.

A++ for this set. Well, I took the plunge- I bought this full set on eBay. It's from 1992. The price wasn't that bad. Seems a lot of others are up for sale, price goes down with competition.
The workmanship is wonderful. The tiny stays are perfect. The cloth is a heavy muslin. The stays feel like they are plastic. I really appreciate the PC for the amount of detail they used in the original pieces. The pocket has very fine embroidery with a single thread. The colors are nice and sharp. The corset has tiny stays and the sewing of the garment is perfection. Very well put together. The hoops are tremendous, in terms of the sewing. Again, the stays and the placement are rendered quite well. I was going to use these as a diagram for sewing a set from the patterns. But, I seriously don't think I can do as well. Worth the price for either doll. Will make an outfit...in terms of it being realistic and fitting well.

I got my Elizabeth on Valentines Day. What a beautiful doll. A+ Everything works here; her hair, eye and skin color are completely in harmony with one another. They work in other words. I waited to get her and she was worth the wait. Once I get the dress and apron done I'll reveal her to everyone. She's my cousin Anna from the Kirsten series.

Rebecca is a great additon to the Historica Line. A+ The hair and original Meet Dress are perfection. The hair clip is a big disapointment. It slips out of her locks. The dress is wll made, but, tight around the cuffs. They were hard to remove. The boots are perfectto the time period. I had to jump on board too. Rebecca is our new girl. There are 12 AG's in our family now. She is my doll, and I'm the only one who can play with her. I love this face and her hair is perfection. She has such a sweet look. I wish she had more period clothes. I am very happy she has lots of hats!

Over all, I give this an A+ for size, usefulness and historical accuracy. Great for the child or collector. I have the PC Model of the trunk. Unfortunately, mine was a used piece and it was damaged in transit. I am so happy to have this one though. I got the piece before Kirsten was archieved and the prices went sky high. Overall the damage was easy to fix with glue. I found the trunk lid is a pine plywood. The rest of the trunk is a fiberboard. The outside and inside is coated in thick paint. The size is great. The trunk is big and roomy. I wanted to get all Kirstens items into a real storage piece, that wasn't a cardboard box. It is a nice piece to add. The painting technique is called "Rosemalling". It is a Northern European style. The original paint was a 'tempra' (milk and egg yolk) based paint. Originally, many coats were applied to the pine piece. Because the pine is like a sponge it soaked the paint up. The paint went deep into the fibers of the wood. The floral design is typical of the style. There is a stylized nature theme in rosemalling. I took a class in college to perfect the technique. The colors are traditional, earthy tones.

This outfit is so period perfect. The coat, skarf and skates are very 1850's. I love this with either her red school dress or the black wool skirt and white blouse. Buy it even if you can only get a reproduction set.

I have this desk too. But, I'm selling my Josefina items off and aquiring all Kit items. So, I read this review and thought the desk was plastic.
It's not a cheap piece at all. I'm having a lot of trouble getting photos loaded here and now. Once I figure it out - I'll let you see.
It is NOT! The desk cube is entirely made of Wood. This is a Pine and is easily carved by hand. The desk top closes for storage and to keep dust and dirt from getting into to the papers kept inside, just like a real one did in 1824. The inside, while not hand-painted, it has a very realistic print on the lid and desk-top. The drawers open and there is the secret hiding place inside. But the entire piece is all wood. There is a very solid finish in black painted on the outside. If you take out the big drawer and look inside it is wood on all 4 sides of the black outside cube. I really like this piece. I wish I had more room for these pieces. I think it is close to museum quality. Take my word for it- If I didn't have to let it go I wouldn't.

I decided to buy this chair and the outfit, they are AAA+++++ ! ! ! I want the Ruthie doll when she comes out - and stuff is retiring fast. This is so very realistic and well made that I am bowled over...I had one of these chairs! Back in the late 60's and 70's this was what you got - no short leg chair like now. Everything in KIT's group of items is just awsome.
