I got mine in 2007 and it has the snaps. I don't see how Velcro would work without snagging the lace of the stomachers.
I think the reason the dress fits loosely is so that it can go over Felicity's undergarments. I've noticed that most of my older Lissie outfits are a bit large as well.

I will warn you- it does take up a lot of room, so I would only purchase it if you have enough room. I have two, and am definitely pleased, but decided on no more doll furniture until I am able to get more space to display my collection.

Mine is pretty snug and fits more like a choker than a necklace, though. I don't mind that, but I can see how it would be difficult for a young child to put on. I would call AG and see if you could get a replacement choker.

Overall, I would give these glasses an A. I would give them an A+, but I found that no matter how much I play around with them, they never go on perfectly straight. I like the design and think the tortoiseshell pattern suits every doll, regardless of hair color/skin tone/eye color. I purchased these glasses with Alexandria (#25) in mind. I especially like the way they look on her, but as I said before, these are cute for any doll. I normally fix her hair and then put the glasses on...no problems.

Overall, I give Nellie an A+. She is a beautiful and very unique doll. Her wig is very thick, which I definitely like. Her face is equally adorable; the feathered brows and freckles look great with her strawberry blonde wig and deep blue eyes. I give her meet outfit an A+ as well; the color and fabric used are breathtaking. I'm not too impressed with the shoes, though; they have a very cheap look to them, which is why Nellie's holiday shoes are worn with the meet outfit.

I noticed yours has stickers on it that look similar to what's on mine; did those actually come with the bed originally? The stickers on your bed were part of the second set of bedding released for the bed. The bed originally came with the moon and stars stickers.

I really love this dress- the pastel colors are pretty and very springy. The little flower at the waste is a nice addition. My only complaint with the dress is that the straps are too long, causing the dress to come down too low and expose a lot more of the cloth body than need be. I usually just tie the straps. The shoes are unique, but for young girls, they can be tricky to get on without the doll stepping on the heel. I would give this dress an A-, due to the straps.

This outfit is probably my favorite outfit I ever purchased from AG. Not only does this outfit work well for modern girls, it's also perfect for Julie and Ivy. The tunic top is a very versatile piece- it looks great with jeans OR a denim skirt. The teal color and detail of the rick rack and rhinestones make this a unique piece. The jeans...what can I say? They are a great mix and match piece and probably one of the main reasons I got this outfit. As cute as the clogs are, they really can't be worn with anything but the tunic. This outfit gets an A++ from me.

This outfit is cute and definitely an explosion of pink...maybe too pink for my taste, but nonetheless...my dolls have gotten their wear out of it. The sweater is darling and looks great not only with that skirt, but with jeans and Nicki's pink riding pants. I really love the sequined criss-cross butterfly detailing. The skirt consists of a crinkly pink over layer, with a lacy tulle under layer. It makes for a very elegant piece of clothing. I love the tights and they definitely come in handy during the cold winter months. The shoes...now...I'm obsessed with the shoes. I love the style and sequin detailing on them. I'd give this outfit an A+; the quality, IMO, is outstanding.

Sprocket is furry, adorable, and very unique. However, I think his turned head is a little funny and would much rather have preferred it being straight. I also don't like the fact that his collar is sewn on. I would give him a B due to the head and collar. The accessories that came with him are nice, but I don't feel there was a whole lot of detail put into them. Grade: B+

I love this skirt and think it's cute, while not being overly trendy. It's a great mix and match piece and I found it could either work as a dressy or casual skirt. Grade: A+To prove my point.... Dressy: Casual:

I purchased this shirt in 2007 at AGPNY. I really like the rhinestone detailing and style of the shirt; it's a little more trendy than just a basic T-shirt. It looks great with just about anything- jeans, the black gaucho pants, the Petal's and Plaid skirt... It was definitely worth the money; my dolls get a lot of wear out of it. Grade: A++

I'm very pleased with this outfit, I just don't like the sneakers with it. I prefer to put Nicki's cowboy boots or Jess's sandals with it. I'm a really big fan of this outfit because of all the mix 'n' match possibilities it has. The jacket is very cute; the cropped style makes it very trendy. It also looks great with a plain T-shirt and jeans. I wouldn't recommend buttoning the buttons; I don't think the jacket was intended for that. Grade: AThe shirt is a very nice pale pink color with a flower appliqué in the center. Not only does this shirt look cute with the plaid skirt, it also looks great with jeans. Grade: A+The skirt, although a little short, is the perfect skirt for fall. It looks great with the pink long-sleeved tee, but I prefer it with black shirts. Grade: AI’m not too big on the sneakers with the outfit, as I mentioned above, but they are perfect with jeans and sweatpants. They are very easy to get on or off. Grade: A+

Don't get me started on this outfit- it was so well-worth the cost that I have two. The jacket is more of a blouse-type of top. It's fully lined on the inside, which is a big plus. The detailing and lace on it is very nice. My only complaint is that this jacket is a little tight on some of my dolls. Grade: A+I love the embroidery on the skirt and I feel that gives that outfit a very elegant and springy touch. The skirt has a mesh over layer and it's satin underneath. I really like the creamy color of the skirt and I think it works very well with the peachy pink color of the jacket. Grade: A+The shoes are cute, and I have no problems getting them on or off, but for a young girl, I can see how they can be confusing to put on/take off. Grade: AOverall, this outfit gets a definite A+!

This outfit belongs to a friend of mine, and modeling it is Laura, her Samantha. This outfit is cute on Bitties, but it looks just as nice on the 18 inch girls. I love the way the blouse looks. The color and detailing on it is very nice. I feel that the hat is a very nice addition to the outfit. The pants definitely look better on Bitties, but they look decent enough as capris on the bigger girls. Overall grade: A+

My Mia was a birthday gift...purchased in Feb. 2008, and she is probably one of the most unique AG dolls. Overall, I give this girl a A++++++ for excellent quality. I love her hair color; it's a shiny light red/strawberry-blonde color. Her wig is also very nice and thick. The layering makes it possible to fix her her in more modern styles. Wig: A+++Her face is adorable to boot- I love her pale freckles and hazel eyes. I'm not too crazy about the whole meet outfit together, but the pieces make for great mix and matching. The outfit fits just about any doll very well. I give it an A+.

This dress is absolutely stunning. I love the white crinoline underneath and the fabric used. The fabric is very delicate, so I recommend being careful when taking this dress off or putting it on so that the material doesn't snag on the Velcro. I have an obsession with doll shoes, and these shoes definitely added to the obsession. They are pink flats trimmed with white ribbons...and they are just too cute. The necklace is cute; my only complaint is that I would have much rather preferred it to tighter and not so loose-fitting. I give this outfit and overall A+

My Chrissa was purchased in April 2009, and I absolutely love this girl, despite some wig problems. Her meet dress is cute; it's a pink floral faux wrap dress. I'm not too big on this dress on Chrissa, but it's adorable on other dolls. The shoes are a little snug fitting and hard to get on and off. I give the dress an A+, but the shoes a B+Taylor in the meet outfit: I love Chrissa's dark hair and blue eyes; that has to be one of my favorite combinations. However, her wig is a little thin in the back and you can see the wig cap in some places. As other members have said, she has little fly away hairs that make hairstyling a little bit tricky. Overall, I give her an A, but the wig a B

Meet Nicki and Vicki Fleming, who affectionately refer to themselves as the Sun Queens. Both were purchased January 2007 at AGPNY. I love the meet outfit- the shirt/bodysuit is very mix and matchable, as are the boot. I love the color and design on the skirt. The only complaint I have is that underwear is not included. GRADE: A-I love Nicki's hair and eye color combination, but her wig has been trouble for me. I give the doll an A, but her wig a B. Nicki is wearing the Sweet Sequins outfit and Vicki is in the pants. Click for oversized imageclick for oversized imageHere is a picture of Taylor (#23) in Nicki's meet outfit:

I received this girl for Christmas 2008. Overall, I have no complaints. She is gorgeous. I must say, I do prefer these new bangs; they don't get in the way when trying to style her hair. Her wig is nice and thick; I'll take some pictures from the back and post them later. Again, her bangs are nice, although I can't pull them off her face completely. I also love her hair and eye color combination; it really is stunning and very realistic, as I know plenty of people who naturally look like that. All in all, I give her an A+++. She deserves it.

This outfit is one of my favorites! I love how elaborately decorated the skirt is, I think the shirt is very pretty, plus it's a GREAT mix 'n' match piece. I'm not crazy about the jacket with the outfit... Now the boots: I HATE THEM. The got stuck on my Nicki's feet when I was trying them on her. I never will and have never planned on using the boots with the outfit. I think that they are hideous and the don't look good with the outfit. I prefer using other shoes with it.

My sister has this outfit, and it's awesome! I give the dress an A+++, the leggings an A+, and everything else but the shoes an A. I'm not overly crazy about the shoes. I don't like the way the look. Anyway, the dress and leggings fit nicely.

Here is my AGT #6, Amanda. She is a Mattel doll, purchased from americangirl.com. She arrived on September 21, 2007. She is just the cutest! Her her is so shiny and smooth. I love her: Grade: A++ One thing, the only thing, I dislike about her is that when in pigtails or two braids, her wig cap shows.
