This item was introduced in 2018 and retired in 2019.Nanea’s mom made most of her clothes. She often used palaka, a traditional Hawaiian checkered fabric that was easy to find on the islands. This outfit includes: A cropped top with a bow at the sweetheart neckline , High-waisted shorts with front pleats and wide legs, Green sandals with crisscross ankle straps and cutout hearts, A faux plumeria flower clip for her hair. This set includes cropped top and shorts, green sandals, and plumeria flower. The cropped top looks really short when you first put it on Nanea, but it's balanced out by the high-waisted shorts. The shorts were a pain-in-the-behind (pun intended!) to pull on. They don't have velcro, just elastic in the back. They might be easier to slip on if you remove Nanea's underwear, but still, they're pretty tight. Because of the shorts, I wouldn't give this outfit to a little kid, as I fear that too much tugging would lead to rips. I don't even know if I'd want her to sit in those bottoms. Like I said, they're tight! The sandals have cute little heart details. I really love the plumeria flower, which is made of fabric. I'm glad Nanea finally got a plumeria!

For $28, you get a pair of yellow sandals, two plastic red barrettes, a sailor-style shirt, and a skirt. I'll be honest, it feels a little overpriced for what you get, and I probably wouldn't have purchased this without a coupon. The Sailor Moon shirt was really tight on Nanea, while the skirt was rather loose. The skirt is short, and as you can see in my photos, Nanea's undies show unless you're careful. I may have Nanea go commando for her birthday. The shirt, skirt, and sandals all have non-snag velcro, and I found this an easy outfit to put on. The colors look great on Nanea!

Released in 2016 for $32, retired in 2019.Josefina celebrates the joys of the harvest festival in this colorful outfit. The harvest was an important part of life in New Mexico and was a time of bounty and gratitude. Her outfit includes: A white blouse with intricate embroidery. A vibrantly patterned skirt with a wide red belt. A satin shawl. Over-the-knee stockings. Pale-pink shoes with bows.Josefina looks beautiful in bright colors, and this dress is no exception. At $32, I feel like it's a good buy for what you get. The set includes an embroidered camisa, a skirt, a red woven belt, socks, shoes, and shawl. I especially love the embroidery on the camisa, and it's probably my favorite detail. I also like the use of a woven belt instead of a ribbon (like in Josefina's Feast Outfit). The shawl is a tad too short to really be used as a rebozo, as it doesn't quite tuck itself under Josefina's arms very well. I'm also not a fan of the shiny material used, though I really like the bright color and how it compliments the colors in the outfit. The shoes.... Well, they are pink with little ribbons and flat out don't fit on my PC girl's larger feet. I'm not too sad about that, as Josefina has tons of other black shoes she can wear. Speaking of my Josefina being a PC doll, the skirt is very tight and has to be worn a tad bit high up on the waist. But I fully expected that, as the same has applied to all recent clothes I've purchased for my Josefina. Overall, I love this outfit! I'm not someone who typically purchases things as soon as they are released, but this one came home with me right away! Grade: A

This is my favorite of Samantha's dresses, probably because Samantha Saves the Day is my favorite of her books. Also, though, it's a very well-made dress. The fabric feels thick and heavy, and the trimming and ribbons have held up over time. The one major problem would be the black ribbon on the back of the dress, which started to fray and eventually, I replaced it. I haven't had any problems with the ribbon on the tam. In fact, the dress and tam really looks like they were made just yesterday! A grade of A!
I wanted to point out that I've owned middy boots that have wooden circle heels. Those boots were purchased off eBay and came with a complete set of Samantha's other things, all in original PC boxes. Since the boots came off eBay, I can't 100% confirm the authenticity; however, since they came with a whole bunch of other Samantha items that look authentic, I feel like the boots themselves are authentic.
