The jogging stroller is pretty sturdy. We have a Walmart brand one as well and the AG onevhas held up much better than the cheaper option. I got ours for $10 at a garage sale.
Quick question. Does anyone know if it folds down or disassembles for storage? Since we got ours used I don't have a leaflet or anything for it.

Can someone measure the length of the pink ribbon on the floral wreath? I just got one today without the ribbon. Also if the ends are cut at an angle or straight across?

Overall I like this set. The Basket is fun to use for outdoor and nature scenes. The flowers can be used in various scenes. The magnifying glass can be used in school scenes. The only thing I don't like is that there is not much play value in it and a lot of the pieces are very fragile. Not great for younger kids to get into. But it is fine for collectors. Here is my take on comparing different versions of this set. These flowers are lovely. They both have very different feels to them. The one on the left reminds me of something you would buy at a market or in a flower shop with how close together the flowers are, the short length of the stems, and the smaller size of the flowers’ “eyes” in the center of each bloom. The one of the right has more of a wild look to it. The flowers are looser, the stems are longer and more spread out and the “eyes” of the flowers are much bigger. The magnifying glasses are both considered first editions due to both having the cream handles (the handle color later changed to black). There is a noticeable difference in the length of cord on each magnifying glass the shade of cream on the handle of the right one is of a lighter shade. These I was quite surprised in the differences. The set on the right the colors are almost translucent. the magnets on the back were also heavier in this set as well. In the other set the colors were more vibrant and the magnets very light weight. The flower presses were constructed very much the same way. The main difference is in the size of the square wood pieces used to make the top and bottom of the press. One is definitely bigger than the other. The only differences here are the length of the handle on the net may vary slightly and the netting on the top changes from a light weight fabric to a slightly heavier weight fabric. Samantha’s wicker baskets also have subtle difference. The length of the straps can vary as well as the spacing of the weaving as seen on the bottom of the basket. I have this and additional comparisons with photos on my website.

This a is a great durable and playable piece! I like the quality of this set. I don't like that it is so specific. You can really only use it for outdoor pictures and scenes. The primary difference in the chairs is the size of the wicker materials used to make the chairs. The chair on the left has a thicker material and appears to be a bit stronger in regards to durability. The wicker materials on the other chair appear thinner and more delicate. Samantha’s wicker tables are very similar. The only variation I noticed with the coloring changes slightly. This could have also occurred if the wicker had been sitting under bright lights or near a brightly lit window for an extended period of time. I have posted this and other comparisons with photos on my website.

A few years ago I came across duplicate PC versions of this set and thought I would share with you. These are from two different editions. The one on the right is the early PC edition with six paints and a smaller box (see second photo below). The one on the left was the later edition. The paints were reduced to five instead of six (the white paint was no longer included). The box was also reformatted on the interior and made slightly larger on the exterior. The pine tuffet pillows are identical! I could not see any noticeable difference in the size, shape, coloring or texture. The sketchbooks are very similar. The only difference I found with these is the writing on the front of the books is thinner and smaller on one than the other. I have posted this and other comparisons with photos on my website.

I apologize for the poor photo quality. I took this several years ago before I sold the duplicate set. I enjoy this set, and am considering getting a few more of the hard resin edition for a full sandwich and several eggs and cookies. The early edition on the left were made of a heavy resin. You can tell the difference between the two due to the weight and the detail that went into creating the earlier pieces. The pieces on the right were made of a light weight rubbery type material. I do think the coloring on the peach in the later set is more accurate than the earlier PC one. I have posted this and other comparisons with photos on my website.

There are some differences in how these were made. The earlier edition was made of a heavy brass, the front wheel was extended further out, the handle was at a slightly higher position than the later edition and there is a gold/brass plate in the bottom (see second photo below). The carriage section of the later PC edition is still made of wood and pieces were still made of brass, but there is a noticeable difference in weight when you pick both up. The later PC one is much lighter than the earlier edition. This and other reviews can be found on my website.

Does anyone have measurements for her bed? It's on my wishlist and what to make sure the shelves I am considering are the correct size.

Below are some comparison photos between an early 1990s pram and a late 1990s pram
Left is early 1990s, right is late 1990s. The early 90s pram is double spoked and a good pound or two heavier than the late 90s one. Also the position of the front wheel is different. The wheels on the earlier edition feel like they are made of actual steel, whereas the later edition is a gold-covered light-weight plastic. The older edition is slightly taller in height than the later edition
Under carriage placement is different as well as one having a brass covered plate and the other not.

Comparison between early 1900s set and late 1990s set
Late 1990s on left, early 1990s on right
Late 1990s on left, early 1990s on right
Only difference i see is the gold on the earlier set was done in thicker more prominent lines and the cherries are half a shape redder.

Below is pictured two pleasant company versions of Samantha's Lunch.
The one on the left was released in 1994. It is made of a hard clay-like material. rather heavy. The set on the right was released in 1996-7 and all pieces are made of rubber. I prefer the feel of the 1994 set, but the coloring of the 1996-1997 set.

I think this accessory set was a good idea, but I'm not sure what to do with it. It doesn't match very well with Samantha's birthday accessories. They should have added something else to it (though that probably would have made it more expensive). I wish they would have made it so it had like one piece that was removable to give a little more detail, (like they did with Addy's pie). But you take what you can get I guess.
though it is has a child-friendly feel to it.
I would give this set a somewhere between a B- and a C+

I have the Pre-Mattel version too, and are made with a different material than the Mattel ones are. They are so Pretty and go with many different outfits.

She a beautiful Doll overall with excellent details. I'm not sure about being extremely breakable, because I've had her for over 10 years (since I was a little girl) and she still is in decent shape & unbroken after being played with a bit. Her dress does get runs in it, and the hair gets frizzy, but overall she is beautiful.
I give her a A-
