I just purchased this set (on sale and free ship) - what a bargain!
I must say that I am very impressed with this set - it is truly fantastic! I like that you could easily fit 4 chairs around it. I also love that this table can transcend many time periods (I am using it for Kit) - it is such a flexible piece of furniture and is now ranked as one of my favorites. I also like that this table is very sturdy, so it's not easily tipped over - especially with all that glassware on it.
I love this table with Kit's items on it - that is what I intended when I purchased it, but I do have to add that Skukla's table setting with Addy's set on it is absolutely enchanting!

These boots are OK... just standard brown boots. My only complaint is that mine bunch strangely around Kit's ankles - that annoys me. Otherwise, they are nice and you can't see the weird bunchies when she wears her overalls.

I second what everyone else has said... the typewriter is a fantastic accessory!
I was one of the fortunate ones that got a gooey typewriter, thankfully the mishap was on the nightstand (just barely before it retired) and not one the then backordered desk. CS wanted me to send back the typewriter (which was backordered at the time and now retired), I declined - promising I would always keep something under it, so it didn't wreck anything else. Glad I did - or I would have lost out.
Despite the fact that they typewriter goos - it is still an awesome and wonderful accessory - the best of the best! I purchased this long before I ever even thought about collecting for Kit, as I just knew it was a fun accessory.
Everything else included in this set is just "icing on the cake" - the box and pretend papers are really neat - typed just as if Kit typed them. The little eraser is cool and so is the baseball card.

Even though I wasn't lucky enough to get the complete outfit before it retired - I did manage to snag the hat and sweater - which are great pieces in themselves.
I love the pom-pom on the hat, it's just so cozy! And I love the sweater paired with Kit's overalls. Two great quality pieces and I am so glad I got them! They also compliment Kit's eyes nicely - really bringing out the dark blue!

Aside from the clumped food - this is a nice accessory. I agree with everything that keri said. I did compare the color of Kit's lunch box with her bed - the only difference is that the lunch box is a shade (maybe 2) brighter - it doesn't clash.
Overall, I give this set a B! I really prefer our food not to be clumped together.

Wow, wow & wow! I ordered this desk on January 7, 2009... I finally received it on December 16, 2009. It was worth the wait - however I am still not happy about the uncertainty of possibly not getting it all all.
It is the most awesome piece of American Girl furniture - bar none! Photos do not do this desk justice - really.
I believe that giving this desk an A+ doesn't even do it justice. It is truly a superb piece!

I really like this set... and I have to agree - the camera is very fragile. DH had to open it for me, at which point I determined that it would never be closed again.
I forgot to photograph the newspapers and the camera case. I think the newspapers are so cute too - I slipped one out like someone suggested, so I could read it.
The Kodak box is just a small Kodak box - nothing spectacular.
The journal barely (and I mean just barely) fits in the pouch - and I had to put the pen in first, otherwise the pen didn't go in at all.
The stickers, I didn't like them. So, what I did is I cut a flap off of a regular AG clothing box, and stuck the stickers to that - then I cut them out perfectly. Now they are the weight of actual photographs, and much more sturdy, so I don't have to worry about wrecking them. I highly recommend doing this.
Overall, I give this set a B+! Only because the camera is so so fragile, and Kit's journal barely fits into the pouch.

I really like the print of this dress, and the red accents. I also agree with green chile supergirl that this dress is too long - if I had any seamstress abilities at all, I'd modify it. But I don't - so it will have to stay long for the time being.
Our headband is quite tight, and if I don't get it on just right - it shoots like a rocket off of the top of Kit's head.

I like the color of this outfit a lot - I dislike the pattern a lot. The only reason I purchased this outfit, is that I think Kit looks great in blue - if it wouldn't have been blue, I wouldn't have gotten it.
I love the shoes, they are super cute. I agree that Kit wouldn't have had shoes to go with every outfit, but they do look great with this one.
Overall, this outfit gets a B-! Again, the quality is there. I just don't like the print.

I'd had this set on my AG wishlist forever, and my dog took pity on me and gave it to me for Christmas - right before it disappeared off of the AG website. Good doggy!
This is a great set, again I love everything about it. Everything looks so realistic, it's amazing. The paper fans are quite delicate though - so you'll need to be careful with those. I love the cake and how realistic it looks... such a fun piece!

Another one of my favorite Kit outfits!
The bibs are so realisitic - all of hte pokets function - I love how her harmonica (from the Hobo Camp Supplies) fits in the tiny top pocket. The undershirt velcros and doesn't button - but I can over look that since it's under the bibs and you don't really see it. Our hat is a little weird and tight, but if I mess around with it a bit, I can get it to look OK.

I purchased this because of the retirement prediction list, and I am very glad that I did - as it is now retired.
I love everything about this little nightstand. The drawers work - great for storing things.
I did end up having to get a replacement nightstand, because I had my typewriter sitting on it, with nothing under, and it ate the varnish right off. This had nothing to do with the quality of the nightstand - only the quality of the typewriter.

I love Kit' meet outfit. It is one of the best ones out there. That said, I get sick of seeing the dolls in their meet outfits all of the time in the catalogs - so our dolls don't wear their meet outfits very often. As a matter of fact, I think this photo shoot was the first time our Kit has had hers on since I got her for Chrstmas over a year ago.

This is one of my all time favorite Kit accessory sets! I love everything about it!
The binoculars are adorable, so is the harmonica. The flour sack bag is so neat, I love how you can actually read it - same with the evaporated milk and tomato cans. The light is neat too - I would have never known that it actually lit up if I wouldn't have read the review.
If you get a chance to purchase this set, you will love it!

I don't think that there is anything really special about Grace - she is cute - but no cuter than any other stuffed animal out there. Definately not worth her $18 price tag. I also think that you can't have Grace with out the scooter, or have the scooter with out Grace.
Overall, I give Grace a C! I don't think I would have purchased her, if I didn't get a good deal on her.

I really love this set. I purchased it on a whim, right after Christmas, shortly after Molly's China Tea Set and Kit's Party Treats disappeared, I didn't want to take the chance that this set would suddenly retire. My only disappointment is that I waited so long to purchase it.
I love everything about this set, and I couldn't be happier with it!

I do like this dress - however I will agree with the others that said the fabric is thin. Personally, it feels cheap. I like the pattern on it though. I don't like this barette either (it ran off for this photo shoot). The shoes are cute, but I don't like the color.

I would have to say that this is my favorite historical bed! I love the color and charm. I prefer the tufted bedding set with it, rather than the quilt. Our bed is very sturdy, but we don't move it around much - it just stays on display in Kit's room.

I really like this dress a lot! I love how all of the little accessories compliment it so well! I a very glad that our scotty dog pin is sewn on - that one less thing I have to worry about losing.
I have two complaints about my set... First, the stockings are so tight that they are really hard to get on and off. Second, the straps on the shoes are too short, I can just barely get them fastened - which means that the prickly side of the velcro is exposed to the stockings, so we need to be extra careful.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? This is a great set and an excellent value for everything you get. The details are amazing - truly amazing. This is one set that you couldn't be disappointed in!

We have the new version of this doll. I think I would have liked the older version better. I might try snipping some threads and see if that does the trick. She is a great doll on her own, it's just hard to give her an outstanding review when you know that she used to be better.
