No, it isn't textured at all. I don't have Jess or Samantha, but I can say that Sonali's hair actually has a very fine texture to it. I also think it is really smooth and soft.

Sonali is everything I could've ever wanted. I ordered her straight from AG on January 29th, 2010 and she arrived on February 5th, 2010. I love her to pieces. Her hair is beautiful; it is a rich dark brown, with different highlights and the perfect curls. Her face also has so much expression, she also looks so sweet and happy! I also love her warm skin tone. She is truly stunning. And, she has instantly become my favorite. What can I say, I love Sonali Matthews!! Her meet outfit is adorable as well. The color combination works for her, and the cute capris have a nice green flower embroidery. The flats are very cute. And, I prefer the buttons over the velcro, so I'm glad they used them on the tank that goes over the green t-shirt. I'm scared to put outfits with velcro on her, in fear of it yanking her hair! I'd HATE to ruin those lucious curls. Alright, enough of me blabbing. Let's let the pictures do the talking! A definite A+++++ girly!! And to answer some of your questions, she does not have an orange tummy! Not at all!! And she doesn't look like a chipmunk! Why would you think that?

These shoes are very pretty! The dolls can stand in them easily. The mutlitple colors make them very versatile, and these shoes can go with nearly any color of shirt or dress...maybe excluding black. But even so, they are very adorable, and stay on farily nicely with the useful little elastic. I would definitley give the casual clogs an A+.

I think the Rebecca mini doll is soo cute! Her hair is so curly and pretty. The clip is plastic, but it's not a big deal IMO. I love her little black tights and boots, they're so adorable and small! xD I can see from pictures, that Mini Beckie's eye color is very close to 18" Rebecca's eyes. They are a very pretty hazel color. I also love the mini meet book; perfect for the 18" dolls. Anyways, I give mini Beckie and A++! Now for a picture! (I only have one of my doll Noelle holding Mini Beckie, not one of just Mini Beckie by herself) *mod edit to remove dead image link*

This is my friends doll Maisey. She is cute, but her eyes are just wierd. Though I LOVE green eyes, they are neon-ish and I wish they were more realistic. Her hair is pretty! I give her an A.

This is a very adorable doll. My friend has her, (I haven't taken any pics of her yet, but they will for sure come) and she named her Colette. Her hair flips out, and is really cute! It's a lighter brown than my #13's hair. And her eyes almost look gray-ish blue. That might just be the light, or my imagination. lol. She looks good in any outfit you put on her, from any era, but I think she makes an especially cute colonial girl. A+ from me!

Josefina is probably my prettiest doll. There is something about her. Is it her long, wavy, silky hair? (Which is IMO gorgeous) Or maybe, her big, beautiful brown eyes? Everything about her is just so cute. She looks so sweet and huggable, yet very mature and thoughtful at the same time. She is a wonderful doll, please get her if you don't have her already!
Grade: A+++++++++

I don't have this doll, but my friend does. Her name is Avery. I love, love, love her! She is so cute and squishy. Lol. But she was given a haircut by my best friend a long while back. Her hair is really soft, yes, very thin, but very soft in real life and Avery looks pretty good with this haircut IMO. (Just not in this pic! I wish I could get a better one to show) Avery is indeed PM. The stamp on her neck reads "Pleasant Company". She has soft eyelashes and as mentioned before, a plump and squishy cloth body. I'd give miss Avery Kay -her middle name- an A++ [mod edited to remove dead image link]

She is adorable. I love this gal. She never actually told me her name, though, even after all these years. First, she was Rebekah. Then Evelyn. Then Lynette. I LOVE her, but I'm still trying to discover her story. Right now, I call her Cécilee-Rebekah. (SESS-ih-lee) Her hair is easy to style, very thick and smooth. Not silky like my Josefina's, which is a disaster to style IMO (I just can't get a hold of it) She's very beautiful. I don't regret buying her one bit. She was my first doll, I got her long ago sometime, and I love her to pieces. Grade: A++++++I apologize for pathetic pictures! I had to use my camcorder! I'll get better pics on here soon. The little cutie!Her hair is rather easy to brush. It does shed frequently if brushed often, because the brush pulls it out no matter how soft you brush it. That is sometimes a problem, but it isn't a huge deal. Also, her hair has a lot of styling potential. Put it up in a pony, pigtails, braid, two braids, buns, nearly any style, and you can do it. I just greatly dislike those unflattering pie bangs I won't say 'hate', hehe, they have kind of grown on me after all these years. But I do greatly dislike them in a way. I'd prefer the lighter revised bangs. Any who, I could never sell her, no matter what. I have had thoughts on re-wigging, but I can let myself do it...she is so sweet. A really old pic of her.JLY #13 makes an excellent first doll. Her hair is easy to manage and I can see it withstanding a lot of years of play. Just a little brushing will keep it nice and silky, I haven't had to do any major treatment on it. I did shampoo and condition her hair once, but only once, and it's been fine.

I do not own this outfit, but my friend does. I'm lovin it, it is just too cute! So, about the shirt. Nice and cute, a great mix and match peice. The shirt gets an A+ from me! Now for the skirt. Hmm... well. Very big. I don't know if it just our dolls, but it always seems to slide down their legs. Well, its just adorable, so, it gets an A-. Shoes, well....SO CUTE! we've had some trouble getting them on, though. Well, thats just me, so.. A. Sorry no pic, Overall grade-A

Nellie is adorable. Everything about her is just so sweet. Too cute. She's very unique with the Josefina face mold and the freckles. Also, she has the rosiest cheeks of all my dolls and the pinkest lips. She. Is. Darling.
Doll Grade: A++++++ (they go on and on...)

Can you put her hair in any other style besides a braid like a ponytail?

Please excuse the PATHETIC photo. It's all I could find. Grade- A-/B+It gets a little low towards the shoulder, but it doesn't bother me all that much. It has a soft feel to it IMO. It's also pretty cute, and I would reccomend it. The "bonnet" is adorable. Very cute. The slippers have a very comfy look and feel. *Mod edit to fix oversized image*Mod edit to fix formatting

Appearance: A- Quality: B
Addy's bed is pretty good quality. It's great! But, the legs are wobbly and pretty unstable, and they have been practically ever since I got them. I've had it for a year now, but I never remember being rough with it. I simply set it there for display. Anyways, it's a great bed and I recommend it! Very lovely, too. And if you didn't buy it with the quilt, it looks great with other quilts too, and works (to me) as a modern bed.
