I'd go for it for half price! I purchased mine for $200 which is definately not an excellent bargain but it felt doable to me at the time. Mine came from an older woman collector's estate and seemed to be in new or like new condition. If the one you have the opportunity to purchase is in good shape I think you'll enjoy having it. - Meg B.

I purchased this at a garage sale and I really like it. I'm an adult and actually use it as my nightstand next to the bed. It's a good height for that. I store all of my dolls shoes and socks/tights in the two bins as well as the shoe holders on the door. I hang all of the longer dresses inside as well as all of Julie/Ivy items. Julie and Ivy did not have any other storage at my house so this works well. The other historicals share the few historical trunks I have. It seems extremely sturdy and I really love having it. However, I personally would have never had purchased it at full price but finding it locally for a discount (in almost new condition) I couldn't pass it up). Good luck making a decision. - Meg B.
