The post above represents the best looking Jip dog. I was at the store with my DD and she saw him on display. He was absolutely darling! When I went to purchase him I checked the box and took out Jip. He looked NOTHING like the display. He was absolutely horrid looking. So, I asked the manager if he would allow me to check another box. He sat there with me opening each and every box (several) and the only Jip that was adorable was the display. He agreed and all the other employees were astonished at the quality difference as well. He sold me the display! I don't know what's going on with Jip's quality right now but I would strongly recommend picking this dog out in person.

I just had to share my complete delight at receiving Caroline's Skiff! I opened it last night and I'm in complete awe...
It is DARLING! So, timeless and special, exquisitely detailed and made of high quality. There is a red flag attached to the top of a canvas sail that attaches and detaches wonderfully. The entire sail easily rolls up and stores inside the skiff along with the oars. I was surprised how easy the skiff is to store. It takes up little more room than two dolls sitting facing each other both in length and width. It's not very tall so it fits nicely under a bed to store. I also ordered Caroline's bed and had a harder time finding a place to store that. These are for my DD's birthday on the 24th so I have not taken photos or seen her play with it but I can already envision all these great adventures our girls will get to go on! I'm already stalking eBay for Josie's spyglass and Kirsten's fishing set!
If your thinking of purchasing Caroline's Skiff I highly recommend it! To me it was definelty worth the sale price I paid for it and I would without hesitation buy it again! The oars are so sweet and I think I gasped when I first saw them. Very detailed and fit nice and snugg onto the boat. I slid Caroline along my bedroom carpet floor for quite some time before going to bed last night with the oars on and everything is so sturdy and FUN! I can't wait for DD to open it! I'm already planning a local beach photo shoot and will take Caroline there the first chance I get.
I hope that anyone who thinks they want this piece can snag one before it's gone. I like Caroline's bed very much which I also got but given the choice I would have picked the Skiff over the bed hands down!

I'm a mother that has handed down my PC Samantha collection to my daughter. One of the pieces I kept was her bed and for Christmas I ordered Rebecca's bed to add to the sleepover fun for her dolls. It does go together nicely side by side in fact she scoots them close together and covers them both with a single handmade baby blanket. Rebecca's bed is made from a quality material that's heavy and thick. Sam's is lighter weight and the metal material is a little thinner and bendy. So I have no doubt of Rebecca's heirloom quality! Also, Rebecca's coverlet and pillow have loads of fine detail where Sam's is very simple. The gold and soft pink iron in person is tasteful. The pillow is also striped and looks cute as a throw and doesn't need to be placed in the bolster since it stands up on it's own. AG is announcing the return of Samantha this fall 2014! This bed would be a fine addition to any doll's collection.

This set truly has some serious play value! I ordered it for myself but my son and daughter have been playing with it since I received it. My son thought it was a "treasure box" and couldn't wait to open it. He loved the double stand pearl necklace and placing all her things in and out of the chest. My daughter adores every piece and has tried different mix and match combinations which seems to please her and even gives her self esteem a boost somehow! The pieces in this collection are extremely easy to dress on and off so there's no frustration. I'm really not sure which piece I love the most and together it's a winning set! I'm surprised at how much I love the headdress, it's a fun, fun, piece!! So Downton Abbey like with the gloves and pearls! The shoes are the sweetest softest silkiest golden ballerina flats and her shawl is thick and soft with a darling bow at the neck with Velcro closure. The wings are quality, thick with a nice metal clip which I totally get-fun imagination for children as well. It's also a manageable size and easy to get on and off. We also have the limited edition set with the wings and this one is very portable but still fun! The chest fits a nice size collection of clothing in the base and the top shelf keeps her small movie posters, necklace and smaller items stored nicely. The rounded top is high enough to store her high button boots on the top tray along with her makeup box from her special edition set, and phonograph record book all as well! I prefer to open the chest against a wall or AG furniture as the lid is attached by hinges and looks better. The interior wallpaper and photo is a nice touch. The chest doesn't take up a lot of space but sure holds a lot and it's light weight and portable. So a great alternative to a real wooden chest!

I'm a mother who handed down my own childhood PC Samantha and things to my daughter. When I saw this set online I took a leap of faith and ordered it for myself sight unseen. I can honestly say that the quality of the entire dress, wings, and shoes blows PC Sam's outfits out of the water! The material is thick, detailed, silky, and a pleasing shade of periwinkle and gold. The dress features a v-neckline, gathered waistline, stiff golden sleeves and a very cute slit up the back to show off her legs. A very gorgeous dress on it's own. The wings in this set are GLORIOUS and together add a high level of playablity that this dress deserves! The wings are a beauty on both sides either hanging down by her side freely as a train or placed within her fingers and raised by her arms as if in a butterfly's flight! On one side is the beautiful brocade fabric and on the other features the stunning golden butterfly artwork lined with gold very carefully around the edges. The finger loops are a thick golden cord that is substantial and stays in place. The wings velcro around her waist with a thick double ribbon. It is so cute that I do wish it was separate from the wings so it had the option to use as a belt with the dress alone or even as a headband in her hair. Maybe with a loop to attach it to the wings? The shoes are actually heavy with a hard black bottom. The shoe is very thick and hard but with smooth satin fabric around it and lined in soft white felt. They were snug on my old PC Samantha but they did fit fine with a little wiggle. The golden butterfly headdress/headband is a beautiful addition that completes her ensemble. It is not metal but plastic and worn in these two different ways gives her a new look! Cute even with Samantha's bangs! I did receive the headband with a slight chip on the top right wing so this is a piece I'm ordering as a replacement part for incase it get's lost, chips, or breaks. Then there's the collection of makeup which skyrockets the playablitiy of this set even higher! The box is lovely! The mirror is quality surrounded in gold with golden ribbons at the side. The material is thick and hard and of substantial quality. The blending powder and rouge are detailed and cute little cardboard containers. Included is a soft bristle brush and an adorable white felt circular blending pad. Both my daughter and son have been playing with this set for days since I received it. Fun Fun Fun!!! We also ordered Rebecca's costume chest, and phonograph which I will review also and already have plans this year to add her (metal) hair curling iron accessory set, the activity doll STAR book, and the Rebecca doll! I would love to see more movie themed sets for Rebecca. Namely featuring an authentic period movie camera with crank, lights, and microphone and maybe even an over the top dramatic vanity with rolling costume rack with golden wire hangers for all her spectacular movie clothes!
