The fabric is extremely thin for something being advertised as a "winter coat." American Girl has made heavier coats that make this one feel cheap by comparison. I don't see this set as being worth the $34 price tag.

Released September 2012 Item# F0840 $58
Measurement; H: 7 1/2" x W: 5 1/2" x D: 7 1/2"
A perfect companion piece to the Dreamy Daybed set this white wooden nightstand has a lower shelf and working drawer for storage. It also comes with a pink floor rug with an embroidered bloom design in white to match the bloom on the daybed. The following accessories are included;
A yellowish orange tube lamp that works. (Batteries included)
Abridged version of the Bored No More book
Pretend glass of water
Pretend bottle of lotion
Pretend box of tissues
The first thing I did when I opened it was check the rug. I don't have any other AG rugs and I was very disappointed when Julie's green foot rug began to separate from the felt base. Thankfully this one is sewn down all the way around.
I am pleased with this purchase and glad I took advantage of the current code to order it. I recommend it but price wise, I don't think I'd suggest paying full retail. Use free shipping or another discount code when it comes around. For that reason I am going to give it a A.

Someone asked me for pictures of a doll sitting in the chair so here goes. Not sure why I didn't think of doing this in my original review. The chair sits so low to the ground that her lower legs and feet rest on it. I'd be wary of setting the chair in grass that's damp or wet because the chair and the doll clothing/doll itself will get wet. The doll can sit mostly upright. Devyn's pants are a bit tight so they aren't letting her legs sit correctly in order to keep her from sliding down just a bit.

Aaryana hit all the main points but I wanted to mention that these dolls do come with an Innerstar U code and charm necklace.
Some comparison pictures with Sonali and MyAG #26
It doesn't show very well in these shots but medium skin Sonali has the same color eyes as Sonali. I can't see a difference no matter which angle I look at them. It's a little darker than the amber shade on my #26.
The height difference is just because my Sonali is wearing platform sandals.

Meatloaf Item #F0850 $22
Meatloaf was released on June 28, 2012 with a revamped? version of Licorice the Cat.
Meatloaf is a tan and white bulldog with a solid body and very soft wrinkly fur. He comes with his blue collar and nametag.
The only other pet I have here to compare him to is Pepper. His fur is very smooth and has raised sections on his back and feet to represent his wrinkles. The layer of 'fur' is very thin- not fluffy like Pepper or deep like Honey. His ears are folded over and sewn down to his head.
I remember several people said he was an expensive paperweight but he's actually not that heavy. I am sure my cat would have to put forth no effort to knock him over with her tail.
His tail is adorably curled. I love the attention to breed detail they put into him.
The pictures show size comparison with Pepper. Overall I think he is going to be very popular and I give him an A-. The reason for the grade is because the old pets used to come with activity books for the same price so I think they would have done better to mark him down to $20, maybe even $18.

I have it but I haven't put it on a doll yet. I agree with tracya about the neckline, when someone finally wears it, I am definitely going to put a tshirt underneath it. I think it would look cute with a jean jacket. The shoes are my favorite part.

Chair and Bocce Set for Dolls $34 Item #T6613
Your dolls can enjoy a friendly game of bocce (modified for two players) with this set that includes:
8 bocce balls: 4 green & 4 turquoise 1 pink marker ball for scoring 1 fold-out canvas chair 1 faux water bottle Game explanation and rules for two player bocce 1 pink embroidered drawstring bag to hold it all
My husband loves to play bocce so when I told him this came out he was a little impressed. Unfortunately, I should have waited for AG to put this on sale before purchasing it. I think it's overpriced both for the quality and materials used to create the set.
The bocce balls are all very lightweight plastic and hollow. I can see the possibility of them moving around too much if someone were playing the game outside in a light wind or possibly a room with a ceiling fan at high speed. They need to be heavier to prevent them from never really stopping anywhere. The marker ball is very tiny so I would definitely not let toddlers around when this game is out in use. (AG has a warning on the website about this)
The instructions are on a tiny, flimsy piece of paper that blew around outside just now when I was trying to photograph them.
The water bottle is pretty much just like every other AG water bottle out there.
The embroidered drawstring bag is nicely done and the butterfly with the letters AG on the front are in white. The drawstring is a lime green I believe; the color matches the green bocce balls. It's sturdy enough to hold all the bocce items and a doll can carry it over her shoulder.
The little lawn chair is sturdy and the bottom and backing are made of striped canvas. The American Girl name along with a flower blossom are embroidered into the chair back. This item is the heaviest one in the set. I honestly think they could have priced the entire set better. I am not sure what the need was to have it marked up over $30.
Overall I give the set a C based on pricing and quality.
On to the pics!
(image links broken)
The bocce balls have the letters AG in them.
The marker is very tiny and has a star on it.

I very rarely get that "gotta have her" feeling with AGs so when I saw the first couple pics of this girl from the DC store opening I knew I was doomed and would end up with her sooner or later. As you can see it was sooner, rather than later. She has the Josefina mold in light skin with brown eyes, shoulder length medium blond hair and a side part with the same flip that #28 and #37 have. There aren't any pronounced streaks of other shades and I will try to get a picture of her this weekend compared with the blond of our Julie. The wig is thin and wouldn't do much for styling other than the short pigtails she came in unless you are really good at hair. For me it's more about the entire combination of length, hair color, eye color, face mold, eyebrows that drew me in rather than any one specific thing about her.
I am a little peeved because she arrived with alot of shorter broken hairs in front so I will have to spend time getting rid of those and waiting for the rubber band indentations to work their way out of her hair now that I have let it down. I would have rather seen her ship with a hairnet like my #37.
Overall I am very glad I purchased her because she is just as cute in person as she was in all the photos.

Got my Aloha outfit in today with the rest of my order and the one thing I haven't seen mentioned in reviews yet is that the floral belt is NOT removable. It's sewn to the back of the capris where a belt loop would be on the back seam. I'll try to get pics of it but I was disappointed the belt was not interchangeable to use with the shirt and say a pair of jeans.
Like cami below, after putting it on, it's definitely not worth $28. The shirt is very thin material and so are the capris. I don't see why they couldn't have been better/sturdier/thicker material like AG uses for the AGP exclusive capris and jeans.

What type of paper are the laptop screen clings? I want to make different ones specific to my custom character.
The dragonflies on the computer itself, are they stickers or painted? Are they on the outside of the clear plastic or inside?

Item # G0469 Grade A- Meet Tennille- yes, as in Captain & Tennille. (Showing my age here) Anyway, the description says she has hazel eyes but these are actually darker than my JLY 21. The green and brown flecks seem to be a bit more pronounced in this doll than the hazel I have seen in others. The color combo of hair/eyes/skin tone are very pretty in person and I am glad I picked this girl. However, she will be going off for an eye swap to have dark blue. She could have benefitted from a few well placed freckles so I may end up doing that myself. Again I have to say I am peeved by the downward head tilt on the new dolls. They always appear to be looking down rather than straight on. Her hair feels as if it has more weight and substance to it than the Rebecca I had earlier this year. I haven't tried to put it in pony tails or anything like that yet but from what I can see the wig cap seems to be covered very well so styling shouldn't be an issue. I also used to have a JLY 26 and from what I remember these curls may be a bit tighter than JLY 26. The spirals look scrunched to me. My only complaint with her hair is that the ends already look like they are split from too much brushing/styling/touching. My OCD is kicking in and I want to snip them off! Tennille says, "Hi AGPT!"

You could mix and match this with the retired Kickin Back outfit. The tank to KB is blue and purple while the capris are white with purple thread. Any of the AGP purple tshirts would be nice for wear with the darker purple pants. I do agree it's pretty expensive for the lack of shoes. I am guessing they felt the mat was sufficient and you do yoga barefoot anyhow.

We purchased Julie's room accessories as soon as her collection was released. Julie's bedroom has been sitting on my daughter's dresser as a display for more than a year, but this is what happened to her foot rug. The top portion has separated from the bottom. I don't know how it was attached, but apparently not very well.

The design on the tank, is it a sticker or is it embroidered?

I wanted to add a couple pictures of Chrissa in something other than her sparse meet oufit. Once you get her into different clothes I think she takes on a whole new look. The pictures make her hair seem alot darker than it actually is in person. She's an adorable doll. I bought her with this month's discount on the doll and the $5 shipping so for that price I will give her a B+. The meet outfit just really doesn't rate giving her an A. The little bracelet she comes with, I am still trying to figure that thing out. It makes no sense whatsoever. Tiny little scrap of grossgrain ribbon with printed flowers on it and some velcro. No socks, no tights, no undershirt/turtleneck. Something's missing that could set the meet outfit off better.

I just recently bought Lindsey after telling myself I wasn't going to bother with her for about 3 years. She looks like a mini me as a fifth grader, hair, eyes, freckles and all. I had that same short dark brown curly coarse hair. I have no idea how old this one is but her skin doesn't have the grayish tone that has been discussed above. She has near perfect hair and rosy cheeks as if she were practically new. She does look fantastic in anything blue. She has been renamed Gena and she's ready for the holidays in the retired Ice Blue outfit. She's adorable in person. I don't care for her original clothing and accessories which is ok because she came to me without them.

Since this came from a PS at AGPLA I don't have an item number but it was $14 with a $30 purchase.
Grade A-
The top is a long sleeved shimmery gray with silver glittery flecks in a mock turtleneck style. The spaghetti strap jumper is a very pretty royal blue with flowers and leaves in a swirled pattern all over in a darker shade of blue, maybe navy? The flower pattern gives off the appearance of being embroidered but it does not go all the way through - it's very thin. The high waist is accentuated with the darker blue bow tied in the center of the dress. The shoes are silver with ribbon bows attached to the front. It comes with two clear glitter hair clips
The jumper is very pretty but I am disappointed it's not a bit thicker material. I also think this dress would have been better with tights. I think Cadence's legs just look too bare with the silver shoes. I see potential in the shirt and shoes for mixing and matching. Overall, for $14 it's a very divine set.

Item F8778 $14 Toasty Pink Boots Grade A-
These are a very pale pink with a lamb's wool type trim at the top. The criss cross pattern leads up the side of the boot and ties into a bow below the trim. They have a light tan rubber sole. Velcro closure up the back and I had a problem pulling the sides together to close. I'm not sure if it's caused by the doll's legs or the lack of material in the boots themselves.

I just got this outfit on Friday with the new toasty pink boots. As mentioned above, the long john like unitard is see through. I had hoped to use it for simple pajamas, but Devyn's pink undies are pretty visible.
The overdress is polyester with pink embroidered and iron on snowflakes/graphics. The belt in the middle is not adjustable- just for looks only. It does go all the way around the back of the outfit. The zipper is functional and I left it open for one photo and zipped it up for another. I don't like the way it looks completely zipped up to a doll's neck.
The boots are white faux fur with a pink faux suede ribbon. They velcro up the back and I didn't have a difficult time getting them on the doll. There is no sole.
The mittens look very tiny to me, almost as if they wouldn't fit a doll's hand. They are pink fleece with the faux white fur trim.
For all the pink, this is pretty cute and Devyn's skin tone looks fabulous in person in this outfit.
I still agree with the grade above though and give it a B.

This is another outfit I have been wanting for years but usually went too far out of my price range whenever I would bid. I finally won it! It is missing the tights but I thought I would post a picture of the shoes first. They are slip on with a small bow on each side and a decent sized rhinestone in the middle of the bow. They are velvet and I don't see them being used for much other than this dress.
The red looks a beautiful burgundy in Colette's photos but mine definitely resemble the holly berry mentioned above. I didn't get the glasses that are supposed to go with it and the seller sent a red velvet bow pony tail holder that is a shade darker than the dress so I don't think that's supposed to go with this outfit.
I really like it with the jacket.

The colors of this dress are amazing in person as well as the detailed embroidery all the way around! I haven't found any issues with this dress so far and I definitely give it an A+ for it's design and all occasion possibilities. I think Devyn looks great in it!

I have been wanting this outfit for several years now and finally won it on ebay for a decent price. It's in very good shape. No snags or tears or anything. The only issue is the bow snap on the back. The sewing is loose so I had to be careful putting it on and taking it off for these photos. This outfit is a beautiful velvet with very detailed embroidery across the high waist. The socks are knee high, exactly like Kit's Christmas outfit socks. I like the plain shiny flats, they are easy to get on and the snaps are still tight and secure. I think I would like to see this dress with a pair of black tights though.
My daughter has this dress in a size 12 and I am hoping she will be able to wear it this year for the holidays. This is definitely a semi formal occasion type dress. More like a party dress rather than a ball gown or other organized formal.

#31 came home with me yesterday from AGPLA. I would not call her hair textured in any way, at least compared to Addy's or the other AA JLY dolls. She also seems to be missing some of the short pieces in her wig that Shawna's girl has. I think she's beautiful and am really surprised I waited last month when I first saw her in the new red holiday dress. That's what sold me on her. Her name is Devyn and I don't have anything else to change her into as we aren't home right now, but here are a couple photos.

I stopped at AGPLA again last weekend and they finally had it in stock. I haven't had a chance to try it on a doll yet, but the hair elastics are just the cheap plastic ones done in pink and not the usual cloth covered ones that come with most outfits. They have better hair ties and scrunchies in the sets they sell separately in the JLY section near the hair picks and brushes.
The shorts are "short" in order to be more like the form fitting female cut that volleyball players wear.
The top was a bit strange to me because around here, the volleyball teams wear shirts that are more like sleeveless v neck tshirts.

I have to agree with the previous review in most places but I have a couple other issues. I managed to get the jeans on Cadence with her underwear on and they are tight. She might have a little breathing room if I would've stripped her skivvies off. The fading looks like perfectly placed ovals instead of a natural occurrence. I also am not pleased with the way the shoulders of the top make the doll's arms look awkward.
I give this a C.

I picked up the back to school set today at AGPLA since we only had one backpack amongst our squad of dolls.
Item F8339-CF1A $26
The set includes one purple backpack with a light green bottom. Flowered embroidery on the front in bright pink and light green. There is one mesh side pocket as well as a mesh zippered pocket on the inside. The zipper pulls are all silver and shaped like stars. It comes with a small water bottle, an American Girl library card, a Smart girl's planner with pages set up like dayplanners, a School Smarts Homework survival guide with printed tips, the heart print notebook has blank pages inside and the green binder has three rings inside that actually work. You can pinch the clips together to open the rings and insert the heart notebook.
I was surprised by the working three ring binder so I gave it an A.
