Grade: A + Includes: Windbreaker, shirt, shorts, wool socks, hiking boots. The Good: This outfit is GREAT. First, it's authentic. My dad was big on hiking so we went hiking a LOT as a kid. The shirt, shorts, shoes, and wool socks are all something I'm familiar with. The hiking boots are extremely detailed and accurate. Everything has great details, like the nylon belt for the shorts, and the classic REI pattern of the shirt. The colors are fun but not too "girly." The windbreaker is a great finishing touch, though when hiking for real you'd probably have something a little warmer than that. The Bad: Ok, unless you're an REI fan, chances are you're not in love with the pattern on the shirt. I'll admit, it is a little busy. Also, because the windbreaker doesn't zip all the way, it can be a pain to pull on and off. Belt and shirt detail (binoculars are a separate accessory)

Drawstring Cargoes & Plaid Shirt Grade: A + Original Price: $24 Review: This outfit is one of the most sought-after classics in the Girl of Today Line and there's no question why. While each piece can stand on its own as a basic, the outfit as a whole represents the epitome of fashion ... about two or three years before it actually came out, but still. As a girl living in the Pacific Northwest while grunge was all the rage, this outfit was an almost carbon copy of the clothes I saw teenage girls wearing on a daily basis and in middle school I had an identical bucket hat and khakki cargoes. Meanwhile, each of the pieces on its own is fairly standard and basic, with little to date it. So, a great representation of what was popular, while still retaining an element of timelessness: perfect. What are the negative aspects? Well, while the outfit as a whole is great in terms of quality, the layering does make it seem frumpy and can be tricky to pull off. On to specifics: Pros: - Lots of pieces, great for mix and match! - Quality construction. - An accurate reflection of what girls were wearing at the time. - Regular colors, not pastels. Cons: - The sweatshirt is hugely baggy and the sleeves are too short. - The bucket hat is just a smidge too big. Pictures: Minus the first layer: Minus the second layer: Sweatshirt only: Shoes: Edited: For grammar.

There's a lot of negativity towards this set that I have heard. But I'll admit it: I like it! Yes, so it's a little bit ... interesting, for a little girl doll, but I had a lot of fun with this outfit as a kid. The Good: It's not pink! Ok, it has pink in it, but that is not the primary color. But it is shiney, and I like my shiney. In seriousness, I like that this outfit has a lot of pieces that really flow together well. Everything is high-quality, with lots of details like the little latches on the ski boots and the fact that the suit zips up--it's not velcro. The skis attach easily to the boots, but won't fall off easily. The ski poles are designed to be held easily by the doll hands. There's a lot of play-value here. I also think it looks darn good on a doll. The Bad: The one-piece can be somewhat tricky to get on and requires a little patience. I don't think it's fragile by any means, just a bit of a trial. Ditto with the cute ski gloves, which are the only AG gloves I've encountered that have spaces for individual fingers. Here it is on my doll, Libby. The total package. Sunglasses and hairband included with the skisuit. Skis and boots.

OMG. I loved this outfit so much when I got it as a wee lass. Let me elaborate. The Good: * The outfit - Lots. I should probably mention that red is one of my all-time favorite colors. Growing up, this is just the type of outfit I wore on snow-days, though mine was a hand-me-down from my older brothers so it reminds me of my childhood. (Note: This brings up the fact that the snowsuit style is more from the 1980s and for boys, but I don't care). There's a little belt that buckles around the middle, but I forgot to buckle it for the pictures. It closes with lots of little snaps, and there are two pockets on the front that snap shut. * The Sled - Very high-quality materials. It looks like an actual dogsled, as far as I'm aware, and even has a brake. It's also the perfect size for holding a second doll. * The dog - cute, and his little harness and booties go on easily. I left the booties in CA, so unfortunately they aren't included in the picture. Oddly, they're purple when everything else is red and black. The Bad: * The outfit - Nothin. Well, it may have been outdated for it's time (see above). * The sled - I kept it in my closet, and either it got bumped or the rubber holding the brake deteriorated because the strip that allows the brake to bounce down broke. I fixed it with tape, though. * The dog - I'm not sure I'm in love with his expression, and his little tale wire broke almost immediately, making his tail oddly wobbly. Also, I'm sure those little booties get lost immediately when there are less careful children involved. Grade: A + The sled in all its glory! Close-up of the outfit

Earth Day Outfit Grade: A The Good: These early outfits were all about versatility. This outfit is an outfit I could easily see myself wearing at ten years old. The details make it perfect, things like Birkenstocks, which were sooo popular when it was released, the clasps on the overall, working pockets, and the little patch to dress up the overalls. The Bad: Not much! The shoes fall off a lot, but that's to be expected, I suppose. Also, the "stick" clasp for the ponytail holder was soft plastic and has become bent over the years. Finally, and this is nitpicky, the "Save the Lions" patch has a picture of a tiger on it, not a lion!

Velveteen Coat Set Grade: A Wow, now here's something I would call classic. I got this because I owned a coat just like this as a little girl. Granted, I was 5 and not 10, but still, this is an item that will look good on almost any doll (from any decade) and will still be current in the future. It's also very high quality - it buttons rather than velcroes, and is fully lined. As cute as this outfit is, however, I think it's a little barren considering what you pay for it. It should have come with a furry hat or purse or something. The coat, boots, and useless hair bands just need something else to add a little umph. Pros: * Classic. * The boots are easy on-off, unlike previous JLY boots in this style (read: I Like Your Style boots, or the Winter Fun outfit boots) * Buttons well, well lined, high-quality. Cons: * You don't get a lot for the money. * The hair bands are a little pointless, especially since they are hard to use properly! Loop them twice and they're too loose, loop them three times and they are too tight! * The boots are boring, and look a lot like the Wintry Weekend boots. I would have liked half-boots or something a little more unique. What I'd pay: $22 What it costs: $24 The Book: Can we say boring, and pointless? This book on traditions seems pretty sparse - each page is just a different tradition you and your family may or may not want to have. Like, "Game Tradition - Make Friday night a game night! Play board games and pop popcorn!" Oh, yeah, that's original, thanks! Details: Accessories: A picture of the coat open:

I have this outfit and I think it's adorable. Then again, I love when everything matches! It is a tight fit on my PM dolls. My mattel dolls, though, don't show any mid-torso skin like in this picture

Grade: A - The Good: I saw this and it reminded me instantly of a ski bunny outfit from an old 1940 or 70s film (Yes, I can't get my eras straight ). So of course I had to get it. The boots, I admit, were the pushover. They're adorable. The fluffy trim and write strappies are the perfect accents to a popular style. I also liked the psuedo-mongolian fur trimmed vest, and the furry headband. The white textured tights do seem heavy, and look cute under the boots - even if they aren't quite practical. The vest, boots, and tights are all really well made and practical. Something you may not know (I didn't) is that the long sleaved shirt is actually a leotard. Whether you like the shorts or not, the detailing on them is very cute. The bits and pieces of this outfit are great for mix and match with other outfits, I think. The Bad: Hm... First of all, the leotard shirt. Ok. Making it a leotard so it doesn't need to tuck in, I get that. The only problem is, the material is scratchy and thick, unlike what you would expect. The shorts in turn are tight enough that you can see the folds of the leotard underneath - ick. Also, I do question the idea of shorts ... wouldn't a little skirt have been cuter? Maybe if they were more of a formal look, like little pleat shorts, rather than weird velvet gym shorts. Oh well.

Have either of you had problems with the straw snagging the doll's hair?

This item is associated with the book, Changes for Molly. It was introduced in 1988 and retired in 2007.Molly carried this handy plaid suitcase trimmed in green vinyl when she went to Miss LaVonda’s dance class. Open the clasp and there’s a pocket inside the lid that’s a perfect place for her star headband.Molly's Plaid Trunk Grade: A Review: This item is adorable. It fits nicely with the rest of Molly's collection and is very well made. The only con is the size, which is a little small. You could fit one outfit in there, possibly, but just not a lot. Please note: Because of flash, the colors are not dead-on in my photo. The plaid is more of a classic red-and-green, while the photo makes it look blue-ish.

I'm going to have to disagree with the above poster, unfortunately. Grade: C What it costs: $24 What I'd pay: $18-20 While at first glance this outfit seemed adorable - especially paired with Molly's fur-lined ice-skates and ear muff - after getting this outfit home and taking it out of the box, I found myself discouraged with the quality of the materials. Another point against it was the cost - for $24, all you get is the sweater, skirt, and spankies. It really comes with hardly anything, even if you factor in the trading cards, to justify the price. Especially since you have to pay a lot for the skates, as well! After being impressed with the quality and charm of Emily's Snowsuit, this one threw me for a loop. Why is one outfit so great while the other is sub-standard? The Good: - The idea of the outfit is cute, and the sweater design and colors are adorable. The Bad: - The material for the sweater is as stiff as a board. It could be cheap wool or expensive felt, but either way it is over-starched. The inside isn't lined, and seems are clearly visible. - The skirt and spankies are even worse than the sweater. They are of a flimsy, felt-like material that was already wrinkled in the box. The fabric reminded me of something you would find in the dollar section of Jo-Annes, or something someone would use if they wanted a cheap costume - it was not fabric that is considered acceptable for every day clothes at all. The underwear was made of the same thin materials. - $24? What are you paying for? Embroidery? It makes no sense! Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures. I was so disappointed in the outfit I returned it. Maybe if it had been less expensive I would have been willing to put up with the problems, but in my mind I just couldn't justify owning it over some of AG's much higher quality outfits.

My one issue with this dress is ever since I got it (as part of my very first order!) I could neeever get the ruffles to ruffle correctly. They always flip under! However, I've also been nervous about ironing it. Does anyone have any tips about that?

I just got this outfit and I think it is adorable. My only problems with it are that the neck piece is attached to the blouse and does not go all of the way around, and that the belt is felt.

Invitation and Fashion Doll IGrade: A - This is a cute item and fits well in Felicity's stories. Unfortunately, I never played with this very much, so I don't have much to say! The A- is for fading face paint and fussiness - perhaps if it were less fussy, I would have played with it more. Pros: - Great quality. - Fits with the story. Cons: - Doll's face paint has faded, despite being kept in dark place. - Not a ton of play value. Pictures:
