That outfit was on the dolls when I was twelve, and I remember thinking it was slightly out of style, that and my cousin, who was around 8, was hoping that they would change outfits soon. Luckily for her, her doll came in the red vinyl jumper outfit.
This was on the dolls in 1996--and to me it looks well, rather late 1980's ish. I would have never been caught dead in it as a girl, but then again my mom got me to wear a turquoise striped jumper with leggings in first grade...
