I bought this for Molly, and it works very well for the 40's, with the exception of the shoes. I substituted white cut-out sandals instead, and it looks just adorable! The dress itself is very well made, easy to get on, and the colors are so pretty! It is a nice, thick, cotton with body, and looks very crisp and spring-like.
No problem for me with the sash, probably was done in one piece with the dress so it doesn't get lost, but mine works out very well.
There is also a barrette, but Molly wears bright pink ribbons on her braids---and currently is also wearing the blue sunglasses that match well with the dress.
I give this dress a solid A.
