Your girl can create a unique personality for her My American Girl® doll! This doll is 18" tall, with blue eyes that open and close. I looked at Ms. #60 closely while I was in LA. She is very similar in construction to #39 and #59 - light skinned classic mold, same style wig.
She has hair that is more on the black side than the brown side, similar to #25 and #54. Her wig is very smooth and silky with the layers. Given the wig similarity to #39, I am guessing the same issues will come out for some people - too silky to handle, random hairs sticking out of braids, etc. None of the dolls I saw had their hair in braids.
To me, she did not remind me very much of Chrissa, but more so of a light skinned #49 or rather a blue eyed #25. She has the standard light blue eyes.
She seems that she would hold well to play, and I did not see any noticeable issues with this doll overall. She is perhaps a bit more unique than #59 since you do not too often see AG bring out very dark haired dolls with light eyes.
