I too, have this easel, and it also serves as a blackboard for Molly's classroom. I put a piece of black construction paper on it, with a canvas behind it, and lo and behold, it is a chalkboard that works very well.
I did get the art set also with the easel and it is so lifelike---it is actually real paint in tin tubes! It has a nice cardboard color wheel, a plastic palette, and several brushes. This is even better than Saige's art set I think!
