I am surprised I have not yet reviewed my #54! I picked mine out personally at AGPLA after carefully comparing between Ivy, #30, #40 and #54 to decide which Jess mold doll I wanted. I have been yearning for a light-skin Jess mold after not quite being satisfied with Jess. I opted for #54 because she had both a nice length of hair for hair styles (compared to Ivy and #40) and a good thickness to her hair (unlike #30). Her hair is clearly a mixture of black and brown strands, though at least with mine, she had more brown streaks on top of black. This is compared to #60 who has much more evenly distributed/mixed black and brown strands of hair. Her bangs are easy to smooth down, and much easier to handle than the old pie bangs, which is ALL my other "with bangs" dolls. It is a nice length to put up in different hairdos. The Jess mold is adorable on this doll, but I do agree that is can be prone to uneven eye openings. Out of all the #30's and #54's I looked at closely (16 total dolls) only two had even eye openings to my level of satisfaction. So this may be one you want to hand pick out. Overall, she is adorable, and I will post pictures this evening.
