Got my #4 from ebay and I am amazed by two things:
I have no idea how many people owned my #4 before me but her wig (very thick though it is very matted and dry) is amazing, her coloring makes her look good in some very striking ensembles, and facial structuring is unique without looking weird in any way.

I have owned and known quite a few dolls that are meant to be Asian - from Barbie to Corolle to some off brands - and it takes a lot to sell me on one because of this. I am of Asian descent myself and when I was girl (I am now in my mid 30s) Asian dolls were very hard to come by and they have come so far with this #4 as being one of the best examples of one ever.
A lot of Asian face molds can look either alien or too western with their facial features (their noses are too sharp or up-turned, their jawlines look off) but this one that was sadly retired by AG and replaced by the Jess mold? She very much looks Asian and in every good way that that could be. Her hair is also such a good color because it's black without it being too dark that it would otherwise wash out her skin tone. I have heard that some people have #4s that have a grey cast to them but my Jillian does not have that.
Her body is a little bit overstuffed but I can appreciate that because I would rather her be younger (5-7 years old) rather than older (9-12 years old) and for the younger range to be more believable, her proportions should be that her body shape should be a little heavier. You can't tell but her vest in this picture is a bit snug on her and I could barely snap the closure on her denim skirt. I had to actually dress her sans undies so that I could get her outfit to lay in a way that was more neat and tidy. Her feet and calves might be on the wider side (or I guess the boots that are nonAG could be on the small side) so I could not put socks under her boots.

All in all, I am very happy with my sweet #4, Jillian. She's a beautiful doll that adds a nice bit of diversity to any collection and if you are specifically looking for an Asian doll, this one is much better than a Jess mold I think.
- How absolutely beautiful AND cute she is in person
- That I ever thought against getting her in the first place
