Caroline is my first AG, and I think she is such a stunning doll. I finally got around to taking her photos today so I could review her, there are a few "factory" annoyances with the doll that was shipped to me but overall, I truly love her and her whole collection so I'm willing overlook a few things but I feel it's important to mention.

Upon inspection in her box, I did notice a little glob of glue right by her hairline (sorry no pic), but when I took her hair down from the hair net it was covered up, but it is definitely something that I would look for in the future at the store in person. Since I ordered her online, I didn't feel it was worth calling and requesting a replacement to be shipped.
Taking her out of the box, I noticed that something with her shoes was just *not quite right* and yup, they smooshed poor Caroline's feet into the opposite shoes (left on the right foot and right on the left foot. Ouch.) Luckily, no damage to the shoe or socks. You can see the shoes on the opposite feet in the picture below.

Caroline has beautiful coloring, her hair is a bit of a mess on the right side (her left) but I figure that now is the best time to learn to care for her curly locks. The ends appear a little dry but I expected this as curly hair is a bit of a challenge to care for. Her hair is a nice texture and thickness, with short hairs in the back to cover the wig cap. I can't wait to try different styles on her, but I can see how easy her hair can get tangled/messy. Definitely a doll for an adult collector or an older child who can be careful with her hair.

She has gorgeous eyes. I agree with previous reviewers that her eye color is best described as sea foam green instead of "aquamarine" as the AG website states.

Her meet dress is a very nice fabric, with embroidered waist and ribbon trim. I would have liked to have seen another color other than pink, but the quality of the items is very good and well made. The pink also compliments the sea green of her eyes as well. I love the pantalettes, they're so versatile for her other outfits.

Overall, I do love her, her era and her collection. She is my first Historical that I would like to have all her clothing, accessories and furniture for! I give her a solid A, I dinged a little for the factory laziness (not her fault I know), but it doesn't take away from her beauty.
