Pre Mattel Version: A
As several other people mentioned above, the PreMattel version comes with a metal snap rather than velcro. The PM version appears to be a little sturdier, but the snaps are harder to put on/remove from a doll than the velcro. The shoes were a little difficult to put on at first, but slip on easily after wearing them a few times. They look beautiful with Samantha's Tea, Birthday, and Bridesmaid dresses.
