I purchased this set because I thought it was kind of cute and I was afraid I'd regret not getting it if it sold out over Christmas. Also, I'd seen a photo of the shirt being used with jeans, and it looked nice.
Unfortunately for me, I was highly disappointed with it when it got to me. The shirt is very thin and seemed nearly see-through on my #28. The color is very drab and faded, whereas I thought it was more of a robin's egg or sky blue rather than greyish. The stick-on rhinestone snowflake seemed cheap and grungy. It is kind of cute, but just not what I was hoping it'd be.
Likewise, the gauchos are soft and comfortable, but I can't imagine using them as anything but sleepwear, and the color is a lot more drab than I'd hoped. I don't like the way they fit at the leg joints, but I feel that way about all the AG gauchos/sweatpants.
The slippers are quite cute, but the soles are very puffy and I really had to shove to get my doll's foot in so that I could get the elastic around her heel. The puffiness made it difficult to get her to balance, though they'd make a great pair of real person slippers, and they are pretty cute.
The hat and the mug are my favorite parts of this set, but the hat is rather seasonal and again, the color is very drab.
The book is cute. It's another set of mysteries from the AG magazine. I actually found myself having to think hard to figure them out but I really liked that there were three - one for Christmas, one for Hanukkah, and one for New Year (I think). I'm sure that a kid in the more appropriate age range would love it. (In fact, I have plans to send this set to someone who would probably appreciate ALL of it more than I do!)
