This would not be my first choice to dress a cannon Samantha in, but it is a lovely outfit anyway. I wanted it because I had an Easter dress just like it in 1989, but with a white sash. It fits nicely, and is not tight at all on my Mattel girls (haven't tried on a PC doll) I could fit Samantha's whites underneath it the collar worked with the dress. I do wish it was about half an inch longer, but it does reach her knees most of the time. The colors look very nice with Samantha's coloring. The sash and hair bow are velvet ribbon that feels pretty substantial. The Mary-Janes are nicer than her old meet shoes, but still pretty generic. I changed them out for the garnet holiday shoes (2001) and I like that much better.
