I bought BF Kaya just before Christmas (the 15th maybe?) so that my purchase would generate a donated doll.
While I couldn't tell you anything else that might have changed from pre-BF Kaya to BF Kaya, I can tell you this much is new.
Kaya still mostly boxed, complete with her hairnet that is tied underneath her braids which means it's a royal pain to get off without mussing up her braids at least a little. Boo and bullfrogs.
However, Kaya herself is adorable.
Her hair is very soft and her braids aren't as tight as I thought they'd be. Which is probably just as well because her dress's velcro snagged one of them when I was switching her into something a little less likely to serve as catnip.
Luckily, Kaya has a whole bag of new stuff to try out thanks to all the sales AG did this season. (rofl)
I'd definitely recommend BF Kaya if she's on your radar.
