I wasn't going to get this outfit but at half price, I could not resist. It's not going to my mother's Samantha, however. As others have noted, this dress looks like it's made for Rebecca, fancy shoes and all. I was pleasantly surprised to find it a lovely, though tight fitting outfit.
I am not a fan of the color lavender at all, and the lilac ribbons (and shoes) give the dress that color effect. My one wish about this dress is that I wish the ribbon around it were not sewn on so that other colors, such as white, pinks, burgundies, black, gray could be substituted. I may pick out the ribbon and resew the seams so that the dress is more so versatile. Had that been doable, the dress would have gotten an A+ from me. It's not as pretty a dress, IMO as Sam's meet dress, and is redundant in her new scant collection, but it is definitely a very nice wardrobe piece and the shoes make it unusual.
