Travel Coat

This was the first piece of Grace's clothing that I placed in my shopping bag! It comes with no shoes/boots/hat, not even a pony tail wrap or scarf, but I really think it's the cutest of all Grace's things. The detail is exceptional on the outside, but I wish they had lined the skirt of the coat. The top part of the coat is lined with a cute pink fabric and closes with real buttons. It coordinates nicely with Grace's meet boots, and the blue ballet slippers from her baking outfit are a perfect match. Neither the time frame nor any of the activities in book 1 would require a coat (Paris can be really hot in the summer months)so I'm calling it her raincoat, and I'm getting her the boots and umbrella from the current rainy day set. The hot pink fits perfectly with her color scheme. My coat was horribly wrinkled right from the box but I was able to press it out easily with my steam iron. The box was large enough for it, and I think the coat could have been folded more carefully to avoid that problem. (First impressions, and all that!)
