I have wanted this piece since it came out. I look at it and think of my own time fishing with my dad as Caroline did in the stories. My BF purchased it for me during Jill's Deals. He had wanted to buy it for me since it came out and just happened to be with me when I noticed it went on sale last week and insisted we get it.
I am the very proud owner of Caroline's skiff. I was impressed with the quality and weight of it. Its 95% wood. The only plastic pieces being the sail and the notch the sail goes into. The quality is definitely high on this piece. I am positive this piece will be getting a lot of use from me as I have already spent a few hours playing with it since it arrived in today's mail. Even my BF played with it a bit. My BF was impressed with this piece too and felt he spent his money well.
I definitely give this piece an A- only due to the plastic sail posts.
