This dress is not to my liking, and it took a sale for me to go for it. Thought of it more as an everyday dress rather than something fancy or dressy, mainly because of the tee shirt fabriced top and the screen printed graphic on it. BUt the dress, once in hand, and carefully examined, is truly a very intricately made piece, with a lot of detailing and extras.
Too bad the drop waist bodice is what grabs one's attntion because despite the inset tiny rhinestones and multi colored screen print ths is a definite cut above the usual fare, the casual glance sees a casual look. It is, after all, made out of tee shirt fabric. But the skirt is layered with satin and a sweet floral print (that AG really should have highlighted more). The other surprise is that the dress has a bow in the back made of the same fabric print. I wish AG had somehow faniced up the bodice, the front of the dress more and tied it in with that sweet floral print. But this is the style, and the dress has not done too badly at all, from all indications. The price break was less than 20% on this.
The sandals are a cute, double strpped across the top of the foot with douple bows, and are a pepto bismol pink that is not obnoxious as foot wear. I 'd have preferred an eggshell pale pink or ice pink, but this does dress down the frock so that it is more versatile, IMO. It also comes with a beaded bracelet to fancy things up.
Finding a necklace (equally out of scale--a person's bracelet) and headband to go with the outfit was quite easy and gives it a big lift. For fancy wear, I think it needs that.
So I give the dress a B+ with the + for the surprising details, and also to compensate for the fact that it is not to my personal taste.
