My Samantha is from 2001 and has the grayish cast to her skin...ugh.
However, I wouldn't exchange her for another because she has a shorter and more fluffyfull body. I can't make a good general review because of the nature of the 2001 dolls, but I'll review the version I have:
Meet outfit: Very cute. My tights are PM but have a hole in them now
so bye bye retail value. They are thick and have lace trim at the top. The bloomers are marked AG. They are poufy and can be worn by My Twinns if needed. The dress and ribbon are thin material but ok, and the little ring on them is plastic. Overall grade: A for cuteness, B for quality but the tights bring it up to B+.
Hair: It frizzed quite easily and was rather dry. C
Vinyl: Smaller limbs are a plus for my character, but the grayish cast I dislike. B-
Face & eyes: Very cute and utterly adorable. I love her! A++
