JULIE GO HOME IT LOOKS BETTER ON IVY
I could have sworn that I took a full length picture of this dress, but I can't find it. I'm sure I'll take another one some day, so whichever. It looks the same from the waist down on Julie or Ivy anyway.
Overall very very nice dress. Ivy's absolutely breathtaking in it; when I put her in it for the first time, I had to just sit and stare at her for a bit. Looks great with those dark eyes. My only possible complaint is that it fits too big around the middle of my Ivy, but my Ivy is a very skinny doll so YMMV.
The bodice, with pattern. Notice the real cord and real velvet sewn around the middle. Much has been made about the pattern ending at the middle of the dress, but I don't think that's that huge a deal. It's probably even historically accurate.
The wood bead necklace doesn't hang like I want -- it's too long to be a choker and too short to look like a necklace -- but that's the tiniest nitpick ever with this outfit.
The hem, with the gather and real cord. I wanted to show the end of the screen printing, because I feel like it's a very natural stop instead of an abrupt one. Someone thought this out.
