It took me quite some time to get used to the Kish faces on this doll line. I think they're the type of dolls that really have to be seen in person to be appreciated. Pictures don't always do them justice. I've been a fan of the books since they came out, but I only very recently started collecting the dolls. Cécile is one of the first three to arrive at my apartment. When it comes to detail, she's easily the most exquisite. The bracelets are my favorite part. This is the best pic I could get of her shoes: I wanted it large enough to show the detailing on the fabric. If I get a clearer one on a brighter day, I'll swap this one out. I have yet to reread Cécile's book, but I remember enjoying it, though perhaps not as much as some of the others. Still a good read though. GoML are obviously collector dolls, but they're not as incredibly delicate as, say, resin BJDs or Fashion Royalty or Pullips. You can easily get your money's worth with the GoML line, especially now that prices have dropped so much. I snagged Cécile and Saba at $10 apiece on Craigslist, but eBay prices are reasonable if you're patient. But I would have said Cécile was worth her retail cost, too. Grade: A
