Can the buckle be removable? And when I say removed, I mean, it's okay if removal means destroying it. I actually find it to be in incredibly poor taste (to the point of offensiveness) that AG would use a Christmas wreath buckle for a Jewish girl's Hanukkah dress. Especially considering the storyline of Rebecca's holiday book. I think the dress is appropriate and adorable otherwise, but if the buckle can't be removed, I have no desire to own it. I've been reading a lot about Jews and Muslims lately and I just overall do not like this dress based on what I've read and researched. In Rebecca's books it is implied that Rebecca's nicer dresses are for when she goes to synagogue with family, usually during the Jewish Holy Days and New Year. General Jewish modesty standards - observed rather strictly amongst pretty much all Jews until recently - dictate that the sleeves need to fall below her elbows. And as you already mentioned, it has a Christmas wreath on it. The dress is overall in very poor taste. Not at all proper for Rebecca to wear to synagogue, which is when she would have mostly worn it.
