Lea is excited to see margays—small, spotted rainforest cats that live in trees—at the rainforest sanctuary. This cute little 7" (17.8 cm) plush margay cat has soft pink paws and an embroidered face.
American Girl will donate $1 to World Wildlife Fund up to $100,000 for every Margay Cat plush purchased through December 31, 2016.I knew I wanted to bring home one of Lea's animals with the doll herself. I enjoy reading the book for the first time with the new doll and her 'pet.' I own several AG pets from over the years and actually love the new style of Lea's animals. The margay cat is a soft bodied plush filled with some beans to weigh it down. While my margay only has a little bit of filling I think that's just fine. His fur is super soft- the softest out of her selection. He holds a standing up, lying down, and sitting down positions. He has embroidered eyes which include markings accurate to an actual margay cat. He's got a tan colored stomach, striped tail, peach paws, and spotted coat. The margay cat does have an annoyingly long tag on his tush, but I see no problem removing it with a scissor if need be. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase considering it includes a donation to the WWF. I do wish it were more of the purchase price. I think the margay cat is a fun addition to Lea's collection and I look forward to adding more of her animals in the future.
